The one thing I love to add to this. Before the first 20 minutes, I do a breathing excersize (wim hof) from 4:50-5:00. It is perfect for running on winter mornings :)
We Muslims have to wake up very early everyday for obligatory prayer before sunrise called Fajr. It really does set you up wonderfully for the day. It is also a beautiful time of the day where the air outside feels fresher to breathe in. However those who truly excel spiritually are those who awaken even earlier for a voluntary prayer before dawn called Tahajjud (night vigil prayer). Those who have mastered this prayer every night have a significant advantage spiritually.

Hey I'm super productive, I'm working on my 3rd spanish opera, really the 2nd is up on my channel it's for solo guitar and voice so it can be played anywhere. My secret to success is I read the bible, scared me although I think I've reasoned past christianity now and just draw from Solomons wisdom in good faith. I just know he says to embrace wisdom, so I embraced music, I dont praise anything mediocre to fit in I embrace good things like ode to joy

Did this for 30 days then stopped and Im having a hard time getting back into the 5 am club but I will not give up!! Persistance!! I love waking at 5 AM and I will not stop until I wake up at 5 AM every single day! Mind over mattress! I commit myself to consistency.
Funny how I came across this, because it's similar to what I was already doing. I was diagnosed with ADHD a couple of years back and I was looking at ways to manage it, and one of the most effective treatment was exercise, and as Robin mentioned, it boosts dopamine and other chemicals which I have a lack of. The early morning is helpful as well, as it's quite and peaceful, making it easier to focus. I'm now performing Robin's routine and begin with a workout, instead of doing it a little later, and then continue with other 20min blocks, and I feel even better now straight off. I recommend this to anyone, it really does have a very positive effect, but don't stop there, discover more. Thanks Robin👍

Thank you Robin for this video, I've been a fan of yours for 20 years and greatly enjoyed your books. I like the idea of exercise, reflection and learning. I can't get it all in in one hour, because I engage in extreme sports, such as ultra marathons, spartan races, and CrossFit, some of the training takes 2 - 3 hours and some just one hour such as a crossfit class. I also do an our yoga and meditation to start my day, I find it really clears my mind and prepares my body for extreme exercise. When I'm out on a 10K trail run I do my reflecting. I find running out in nature is really energizing. I will tweak this routine to match my life style.

But here's a question that pops up in my head while you're discussing the 3rd Pocket (Learning), "What do I want to learn?" It's funny, I'm 22 and I have lot's of interests (Arnis - Filipino Martial Arts and National Sports, Sketching, Youth development, to name a few), but I'm at the stage of 'searching and knowing where I truly want to go'. But you say it all so well here. Having resisted the money making, following path with people telling me market market...I get the marketing but that is secondary and the focus stifles my creativity and i feel its a betrayal. I appreciate if you need bread that has to be your fist concern, but when you have some bread (for today) and this week there has to be something else. Thank you so much. OK no more victim talk. I'm glad to find this. ..evolution and personal optimization...well said..this drives me and I am in (was in education/psychology/Research) . After a holiday (taken under your advisement) i returned refreshed and up at 4-5 daily at least. Now trying to optimize that time. This is very helpful guide (though i take longer than 20/20) Gonna try writing as i remember some research on writing down. Problem I am however not maximizing time later what a little tired. Going to fast/meditate for directions but Any Suggestions. Also struggling to find like thinkers.....I decided not to join your site and see where it leads!! No Victim here!!
