Finally a video...after searching youtube on how to get started. When I did get set up, I realized I dont have all my files. Years and years of files. Why are they not all showing. I have the required computer.
We are working on getting more of these Getting Started videos up for all of our machines. If you are having issues with missing files from your library, please reach out to support@silhouetteamerica.com and we will be able to help you further.
I purchased the silhouette foam cutter and am having trouble cutting foam with it. When I begin cutting it makes a lot of stuttering sounds and much louder than it should. I can't tell if the foam is slipping or something and thats throwing off the cut. There doesnt appear to be a preset depth in the application. Does know if there is a recommended setting to use for foam?
We are launching the Cameo Pro MKII on November 14. This will have all the same updated technology as the Cameo 5 such as second powered carriage, it's quieter, and the emergency stop function. It will also have 5 removable support rollers to help hold down large projects but made them removable to do projects as small as 5in.
I have also written to them several times with no response. I purchased my machine on December 1st, and that same day I received the tracking number. Today is the 18th, and the machine still hasn’t left their facility. I’ve reached out several times and received no reply, and this is supposed to be a Christmas gift.
We’re very sorry for the delay and lack of response. Our team is currently addressing inquiries as quickly as possible. We’ll work to resolve this for you. Thank you for your patience!
What does it mean Silhouette 5 can cut between 5-12 inches wide? We all know our previous models can cut the smallest of shapes!!!!! I don’t understand
The width of the material not the size of shape I believe is what they mean. You have the mat for little things anything fed has to get grabbed by the feed roller.
IKR... I don't own any silhouette machines. It sounds like they are trying to be creative with words at this point. If it only cuts at widths 5" - 12", does that mean we are screwed if we need to cut something 4.99" and smaller?😅 😆 🤣 that would be weird. My Starcraft Solo cuts any size up to 16" wide, no minimum length, no membership requirements, various software options, I can use with or without a mat, similar functions as Graphtec, GCC, Roland, and other professional plotter. Silhouette is a close 2nd. They all use speed, pressure, etc. Silhouette is an okay company for easy home machines but I'm not a fan of any company that pushes machine upgrades every year making you buy yet another machine then you wind up with several separate machines when 1 machine should work. I am not at all a fan of Cricut machines for that reason. The exception is the Cricut joy for portability but not total functionality. If I could find a portable option for a machine that is not constricted to using 1 software program, I would buy it. The Silhouette portrait is okay but at the time it was too high a price so I bought the cricut joy. I shall see what the future holds. 😏
@JoyfulStitching is correct. The machines can cut shapes smaller than 5 inches, but the material that it is cutting should be 5-12 inches so that the pinch rollers can properly grip the material.
@carolwiebe2820 🤯😳😲 oh no. Glade I didn't buy this machine. To try to help you, I looked online for - blade replacements for Cameo 5 - and they are available. Q: Do they only come as the unit + blade instead of only the blade part? That would be terrible. That would mean you can't replace just the blade, and you are forced to buy the product over and over. That's too much product waste. I saw a 4pk on, Swing Design website, for $36+. Nooe, that's too much. 😤🤐
Hey, does anyone....literally *ANYONE* ........respond to the email address on your website? Is there ANY WAY AT ALL to talk to someone at Silhouette??????????????? I just purchased a new Cameo 5 with loads of accessories and emailed the company DAYS ago some questions so I had answers before it arrived. I've since sent multiple other emails. No response. AT ALL. To *ANY* of my emails. If this is how *HORRIFIC* your customer service is for *PROSPECTIVE* customers, I can't even imagine how bad it is for current customer. I have literally held off opening the box because I'm *SERIOUSLY* considering just sending it back and switching to one of your competitors like Cricut or Siser. Which apparently both have *STELLAR* customer service. AND EVEN PHONE SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!
We apologize for the delay in responding to your emails. Our support team is working diligently to address all inquiries and is committed to improving response times. Thank you for your patience-we’re here to help!
@@CreateWithSilhouette Ok, I don't understand what "we're here to help" means. It's been 4 days so far. No responses to any of my emails. Not even an acknowledgement that they were received. What is the normal turnaround? More than a week? More than a month? If I have an urgent question, how do I get an answer? Or do you not even offer help for urgent issues? Is your company policy "just be patient and we'll get to it when we get to it"?
@@CreateWithSilhouette I'm a new customer and I am considering a purchase but after reading the comments on Customer Service, I think I will spend my money elsewhere.
