you cant trust 1RM calc off touch and go. trust me, I learned that the hard way lol.
Also once you get into those psycho weights it’s probably not as accurate either.
He is using the high handles and isn’t locking out at the top, which seems to be the weaker portion of his deadlift.
Incredible lifts but he still has a way to go to equal the top strongmen
If you want an accurate strength depiction on a touch and go set, watch the first rep. Wasn’t a grind by any means, but it wasn’t easy. Dead stop he didn’t have more than 3. Tops
Usually it's pretty close, but at the same time, hex bar is not the same as a regular deadlift. I'm willing to bet his max Hex bar deadlift is pretty near the 1rm calculator suggestion.

1rm calculator is weighted for less experienced lifters, and depending on technique some people will be better or worse at grinding through reps
Thats the highest grip I've ever seen on a trap bar.
Would be interesting to have Trap bar events & records, but there would be the need for a height regulation, either same as BB DL or an agreed bonus height.
I don't understand... 430 kg regular deadlift at RPE9, how thus can you take into consideration the trap bar deadlift for such estimation at 500+kg max ? It's not relevant or this performance is much more recent that those max deadlifts...
It's a different movement. The high handles offer a shorter ROM than pulling conventional, and the calculation would be for the trap bar dead alone

His 1rm on the hex (trap) bar would be pretty close to the 540 kg mark, but not on a regular deadlift.

That's partial trapbar deadlift aka 20-30% easier than low handle aka true trapbar deadlift.

A touch and go deadlift is a useless assessment of 1rm. You can literally rep out your max because of the shortened rom and advantageous leverages. If you use this in your estimation you will be sadly mistaken when the bar is nailed to the floor. Dead stop reps are the only reliable metric for estimating 1rm on dl.
Heh, of course there was a catch: partial rep deadlift, similar to sumo :D No wonder. Next time put the handles 20 cm higher and rep 600kg

Hitching multiple times on the deadlift with 925 pounds... how long before he blows his back out? Actually some of the worst technique I've ever seen on deadlift. Trap bar with high handles is obviously not even close to the same as a conventional deadlift. 10 trap bar reps vs. 1 hitching conventional rep.🙄🤔
