I am surprised that Tyron actually threw a punch.
I was expecting him to go up to it, then move back, then move up to it, then move to the side, then move back, then move up to it, then move back, then start cheering while saying he was too fast for anyone to notice him throwing the punch and too damn hard it came back down and set its self back to zero.
Ouch 😂
Ha🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣 i was looking for this comment
Dammit 🤣👏
Ferguson ankle picked the machine.
Damn!! that ankle picker!!
I'm deadddd, you probably wrestle keep it up g 💯
Hahaha
DDT it
Lol
Ben Askren’s spinning back fist of doom would’ve broke the machine
Without a doubt 🤣
Hahaha 😂
Definitely
lol
When You are right You are right...shit...
Good heads up!!
DC broke Pat's record by one point with a registered punch at 966. Yes, the rumors are that Pat Barry is still kicking that machine to this very day.
These machines are anaccurate af tho. It's like that fruit machine it shows whatever. That pat berry kick was 100% more powerful that any punch in the world.
@@billkill6852 unbiased here but dc took a huge running start compared to pat and that’s a big difference
@@spruceyourmoose he's cheating, he's always cheating lol. Everybody knows you have to stand still, DC took a mega run up

Legend has it pat barry is still kicking that machine till this day
He should probably avoid slot machines. “Guys! Just one more time. I’m sure I’ll get it next time.”
Lol
@I Hate You All no u
Was he trying to get 1000?
BAAAHAHAHA!!! 🤣🤣🤣
the funny thing in 4:30 is that the video was recorded in 2015/2016 in Iceland, the machine is inside a mall that is called Smáralind and Conor still holds the record to this day.
That is epic 😂
So what you’re telling me is that Icelandics can’t punch?
He ran into that punch. It doesn't count
@@Lootroq L

Woodley threw more punches on this video than he has in his last 5 fights.

I would have liked to see Mike Tysons score from back in the 90s.
11.6
Tyson .. I was thinking over 10 + ... Where did you come up with this 11.6 ? That is awesome; his uppercuts where devastating.
Would have been interesting to have seen Ali, Foreman, Marciano.
Might as well through in Bruce Lee .. lol
I have seen old footage of Jack Dempsey hitting the heavy bag and knocking it around like a rag doll.
Prob 10000000
Machine would fall over
There were plenty that hit harder than him. He was just so fast and accurate for a heavyweight. He hit hard but no one puts him over people like Frazier and Foreman.
Legend has it, Pat Barry is still kicking that machine in his Tapout shirt.
I gotta say, sticking these machines in bars was either a stroke of genius, or the dumbest thing ever. It’s either going to prevent bar fights...or inspire them.
They know what they’re doing
Rose is like half all their size and still hit only 10 under lol.
That's how you know the machine is useless. It's really saying Michael Bisping and Tyron Woodley punch harder than Ngannou? Or they punch harder than Uriah Hall's kicks? I call 100% bullshit. It's a fun bar/arcade game to dick around with, but it has no real life application.
@@ryanbrown4053 Precision > power
@@Bowfella Uriah Hall's kicks are sublime. Nothing imprecise about them.
@@ryanbrown4053 Wasn't specifying any fighters. Was just stating that power means shit if you swing wildly and can't land like Ngannou.
@@ryanbrown4053 forgive me im bad with names but if Hall is the guy kicking around 7:50 he could break 1000 easy if he pivoted his supporting foot and led with his body instead of just his leg
Starting to lose my faith in those machines after seeing this
@Tanxil Hanif why not? hes longer and has perfect technique
@Tanxil Hanif Yes I did see it! Amazing fight right? You know its funny, Alexander gustafsson got 887 on it and hes two weightclasses above Tyron, I got 935 on it and im a 16yr skinny white dude so idk man. it might be technique, a sweet spot on the machine or just speed, what do you think?
...yall ever consider the machines are different smfh
@@williamkjellstrand5280 Its speed I guess, but knock out power does not depend on speed only, it depends on change in momentum.
I know OP is joking but guys if you really think this shows who is 'stronger' then you are fucking idiots.
I purchased both the medium ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfh2XUOHWYHKQYOvSq2gZ6PyCmVkTFGWz and small speed bags from Meister. I'm very glad I got both as the workout is quite different from the two. The small is fantastic for getting your speed built up once familiar with your striking. The medium bag provides a considerable amount more resistance building more strength in your punches. I highly recommend both sizes. Some people have expressed concern over the latex bladder leaking down more frequently than the traditional rubber. I have not found this to be an issue at all.
Respect to these that hit in a standing position.
I love how pat was messing around and still got the high score!
People taking these machines serious is hilarious😂
Its a automatic competition among them
why coz its not precise?
@@delayedcreator4783 if you don’t hit it directly in the sweet spot, you won’t get higher score than someone who u can knock out with half the power
@@delayedcreator4783 at 5:55 that kick is as powerful as all the punches in this video combined but it didn’t even hit 900, cuz of accuracy

they tested khabib but he just hugged the machine for 25 minutes instead
But khabib scored higher than Bisping so........you failed with casual joke

Anyone know any places they have good one I always brake them and I actually wanna know what number I would get
What I've learned from this: Jeremy Stephens and Bryan Ortega hit like heavyweights
Jeremy could have hit that way harder imo
Nah they have to do it by weight there’s no way
You didn't know? Ortega TKOs people. When Jeremy hits them they don't fuckin move.
@@545parsa who the FOOK is that guy
Jeremy Stephens is defo one of the pound for pound strongest punchers in UFC history. Guy absolutely knocked guys into the shadow realm.
Was waiting for jones to run the machine down in his Bentley.
😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
This made my day lmfao
Hilarious
Based jones
I came in here a couple years later, the last one still kicks
I do like this machine it does a fairly good job but after hitting it on the boardwalk a bunch of times I've mastered it if you throw more of a hook rather than a straight punch the sensor is in the machine and the concussion you'd feel with someone heavy-handed don't measuring all the time like it should you know guys that can touch you and hurt you don't always score well but not as well as they should for example the same guys that punching heavy bag off the wall only might score 900 on this machine so it's good but nothing can truly measure power like a bag that doesn't move
Legend has it. Pat Berry is still kicking that bag till this day
Rose scored pretty fking good given her weight. She's got a good swing on her for sure
They rigged the machine but ok
@@kingalex1425 doesn't change the fact that she's got a helluva swing on her
@@solkimmyjones no way she punches
close to any of them
@@kingalex1425 no I don't believe she can punch harder than woodley as the machine suggests lol
That was all rose your a hater lol.. think about a elephant stepping on tile and the tile doesn't break but then a woman in high heels stands on it and it cracks the tile same concept it's psi roses fist has half the surface area as those big guys... That being said those machines are only as accurate as the sensors in them
Is there a machine that can accurately measure force? Like, I’ve seen ngc/discovery docs where they’re a using pressure sensor pad thingy, but is there an actual machine?
Got me thinking of dbz when they’re at the martial arts tournament and testing theyre punching power and vegeta destroys the machine xD
This was more fun to watch than it should be.

And DC got a running start
Mind game my ass
At my friend's birthday party back in June when I was still 15 at an Elevated Sports, we had a bunch of tries on the punching machine. I got the record there at 829. My friend and his friends were all runners for track, meanwhile I am a football player and wrestler.
Doesnt it depend on where you hit the bag as well? Seems like the people hitting the lower part are getting higher scores because its consisidered jawline that there punching?
Jeremy"when I knock people it they don't get up" Stephens. He was not kidding
What that makes no sense
I can professionally confirm that this in fact does not make sense

Thug rose showing her power and technique for sure. Stephens and Ortega showing heavy hands for their respective weight classes.
The machine isn't a proper scientific tool to measure punching power. Thats why its all over the place with different people.
Now I would like to see how far away Id be on the same machines.
Every machine is calibrated differently and you kinda wanna punch a lil upwards since that is where the sensor is. It’s a fun game lol
How many times is he gunna kick the dang bag
He's still kicking it.
That was pat berry in the end trying to get his record back from D.C

I like the guys that don't do the big wind up . Shows real power In a real situation ❤
some say that Pat is still kickin it to this day
The run up and hit should not count
butthurt by dc's power.
The “perfect punch” often happens when the target is moving/leaning directly into it. That counts for something. Also these things seem to have a sweet spot that can be somewhat exploited.
Dc the mother fuckin goat in it all lol
grayRain yea it’s just the velocity of the shot it’s a lot harder than it looks tho
LOL there's no rules with these machines
The trick with these machines is to punch slightly downwards and connect as far to the top of the bag as possible without hitting the bracket. That gets you top score everytime. Bit risky though as some machines don't pad the bracket.
does running and jumping add momentum?
Respect to weidman for not even winding up
He threw a straight :o
That is exactly how I hit those machines. I take 1 step forward and punch straight through. No wind up, no running start, no haymaker. I get low 900s
Fr just a regular straight
its interesting that there seems to be a plateau like around 930-950 for both hard punches and kicks. I wonder if that has more to do with the mechanical limits of the machine than what the human body is capable of.
That and if it's anything like the ones I've hit the angle and placement of the punch is far more critical in getting a high score than how hard you hit it. But yeah it's a pretty crappy way to gauge how hard someone is hitting something.
Mechanical
Machine prob measuring on a log scale, amount of force you need per point probably gets huge past that range.
Those machines sucks
Exactly what chembuilder said.
You want to drive your punch upward almost, toward where the bag goes, to get a higher score.
I've hit 900's on these machines, and I'm smart enough to know I can't hit as hard as these pros.
Imagine if Francis Ngannou Punches it...lmao the soul of the machine would went flying 😂👋👋
Francis literally punched it in this video...
He did punch it u bellend

Romero and Costa would've sent this machine flying.
Then Ngannu would sent it to the moon
No they wouldn't, it would look pretty similar to everyone else's
Artem Lobov would disintegrate that machine with a jab
wld be nice tho if u added the names of those outside the fox studio 👍
at 4:40 that,s mc g? with 932
That ending was like it was on repeat
Pat barry: I'll destroy you machine.
Machine: Whatever, you ain't crossing 900s.
Last time Chuck Norris hit one of these, the San Andreas fault line got excited
Punching the bag is mainly technique, because it pivots upwards, you get the best result hitting the bag on a slightly downward angle.
Legend says he's still kicking that machine today.
I’ve seen an 1100 before from a skinny dude. He told me that in no way does the machine read power of the individual hitting it. There’s technique in how you make contact and where in your swing at max velocity you should aim for contact.
8-900’s are typical for most. Calibration pending and height plays a huge factor. Too tall or too short kills the power.
Gustoffson had a serious adjustment to his natural swing which hindered his true power output.
Raise the bag six more inches and he’s hit high nines.
Doughboy had it just right on level.
Doughboy destroyed gus in a real fight as well as on the machine
@@gwmcroy3166 haha
I max out when i hit its all technique but im 6'3" 250 so that helps
Everything you're saying applies to punching a person as well... Where do you think power comes from?
@@liammullen2144
Within. I don’t only think this, I know this extensively. It’s the generation of the power that’s the question.
I wish there was volume for all the Pat Barry attempts. Dude is hilarious.
DC absolutely smashed it. What a monster.
Gustaffson's might've been lowish, but he's the closest we've seen to an ass kicking for Jones.
DC kinda ran into it, he had more momentum & kinda cheated. You're meant to take like 1 step forward max
Closest we've seen to an ass kicking for jones is jones.
to be fair you have to test them all on the same machine or even better, one of those digital pressure pads to measure impact and with a speed measuring device. the UFC should do that to add it to their stats like a pitcher has a max fast ball speed.
Well, 852 for thug rose is actually very good for a strawweight...
That kick from Sage was beautiful 5:47
I can’t even look that high never mind kick
I've always maxed these machines (the 3 digit ones). I always assumed most people could.
Are all machines calibrated the ssme?
Yo the high 700 low 800 powered jabs tho! That's probably the most impressive.
"Pat I want the record badly Barry"
Man, those old ufc on fox shows were soo good
Used to peg that gauge on the punch machine at the fair, seen many jaws on the floor!
Legend has it that since then Pat Barry knocks on people’s doors the same way
Cain got screwed having the sides on the machine. It forced him to throw a straight right instead of a right hook like everyone else.
When you put Pat Berry on loop at the end and still come short of 10 minutes
Now these fight outcomes make sense😆
Ferguson the type of guy to ankle pick a punching machine
Most of the fighters have similar power. So it’s the accuracy that’s most important.
Machine was extra sensitised 😂😂😂
It makes all the difference when someone runs at it to hit it vs standing still and hitting it
McGregor’s was still the best, smashing it and beating the record
I bet he was the one who got 930 previously
It only took him sprinting 5 steps too......
@@seanhauser8228 He bounced…. Do you know what a sprint is?
Those punching machines have a trick you can do to make your numbers higher. Pat Berry had the right idea, you dont hit normal with the nuckles, insted you hammer fist the bag in a downward motion. Pat Berry kinda did a sideways slap thingy but he has the right idea. He understands how it works too
Woodley coming back with his right had me dying for some reason lmao
Pat Barry in a diaper kicking that thing is straight gold. Hahahaha.
I believe it’s more of an accuracy thing than a power
If only this was around during CroCops healthy days. Would love to see his leg kicks measured.
Agreed.

@@chadlimber1319 it doesn’t really work, the machine don’t really mesure power, they are just build to be hit a certain way
This machine been out since the 80s
Machine wont measure if the bag goes through it
0:52 I like how rose still did her usual footwork pattern/bounce before she threw the punch.. Talk about muscle memory
These machines measure the time that the bag starts moving until it stops. In theory speed equals power but you can easily 999 these machines sit you hit the bag in the right spot. We had one unlocked at a local bar for us and a 150lb dude was 999ing it with a backhand chopping motion. He showed me how to hit it in a downward manner and I've been able to max them every since. I was hitting anywhere from 890s to mid 9s before he enlightened me...after I bought him several rounds.
Some of them give score easier than others i doubt u could score 999 on a very ”hard” machine
@@reolaitinen870 I've messed around with a handful of them and most of them with that bag style aren't hard to max if you hit them right. The bag on a lever style, like the one in the video, are the easy ones to max if you hit them right. If you throw straight, they won't max out....unless your Francis like
tutorial?
Good to know. I'm gonna be top dog next time I hit the one at the bar. 🤣
This machine only goes to 999? every machine i've seen goes up thousands
I've never played with a UFC one
Pat kicking an average of 950 all week, with his eyes closed.
Huge difference if static vs stepping in to it.
I saw one of these at a carnival that was rigged. It was hilarious because they had it set up to where the average person got a pretty good score, but whenever they let a little kid hit it the machine, it would start smoking and it goes like straight to 1000 and starts flashing. With the smoke coming out. It was freaking hilarious! 😊
Technic over raw power goes a long way with this game.
Props to Velasquez and Weidman with the straight punches
Chael Sonnen swears he heard the machine verbally tap
I was at a bar years ago and they had one of these machines and this guy was working on it, I think it had broken down but he got it working again and a few of us that were there got to go on it for free which was cool better then paying a pound a time to have a go anyway the guy that fixed it he had this way of hitting it and he wud smash it to the highest score everytime without fail
If you’ve ever hit one of these machines you’ll know it’s mostly about where you hit it that will determine your score I’ve hit 900 on some and then under 800 on others lol
Damn things are designed to break your wrists and another thing when Pat kicked that punching thing it should have read 3000!
Those who punched from a static stance impressed me the most.
Some people are getting running starts. Kind of makes the playing grounds uneven.
Francis hit the machine and the entire machine turned to dust like Thanos snapped his fingers.
Rose didn't even load up as much as the bigger guys and still scored that high
Just shows that the machine is pretty broken lol
We used to have one of these at our local arcade. A friend of mine hit it so hard the machine shut off lol.
I don't think the numbers mean anything when we're comparing different machines. Needs to be the same machine accurately calibrated, not some random abused machine in a Dave and Buster's, etc. vs the ESPN machine.
