I god damn love how these belts are like a well built awesome fitting belt. Dan so glad I took your advice and just bought one. Thanks and keep it up you animal.
Hey Dan. It’s not just for guys. :). I’ve been carrying using Kore Essential belts for about 3 years now. I wear no other gun belt than Kore Essentials!
These are truly amazing belts as Dan describes and so simple to size and adjust. Great all-purpose belts that will stand up to anything and look very nice.
I was ecstatic when I received my kore essentials belts in the mail. Of course, I sized my belts, attached their buckles, and the first thing I do Dry fire practice from concealment hah! The belt was almost as rigid as my EDC hybrid cobra webbing belt but the greater flexibility of the leather moved with my body better throughout the day, and it looks incredible! The ratcheting buckle system is genius and I prefer it to the Velcro loop back of common webbing EDC belts. It is robust and will not move from it's setting unless you command it to. The precision and ease of adjustability to my carry (or how big my food baby gets after tacos and beer) adds a level of comfort and ease I haven't found in any other belt I have owned. I look forward to years of use.
I have 4 of these belts for outdoor use and love them!!! They carry anything you can strap on it and it fully adjusts to your precise size, its genius!!
I really like this! No more sizing issues when you go to order and you don’t have to worry about any holes stretching out or extra loops that might come unstitched. Simple and effective.
I unfortunately have had mine fail. My kore essentials belt(Coyote nylon with leather backing)after 12 months in the backcountry getting wet, frozen, and hot from the sun had the inner plastic core deform in two different spots and bubble, and the leather separated from the nylon making it uncomfortable. I wore it everyday carrying a Glock 19 daily and in the woods a smaller firearm. I threw it away. Loved its adjustment and look. YMMV anyone interested. My wife’s is holding up well, but was never in the mountains with it really. This experience is only in ref to the Gun Belt by Kore Essentials. Buckle is still good though and I kept that. Glad it works for ya Dan, a good review brother, just wish it lasted for me.
Dan thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience, it’s been great to have your unique perspective on UA-cam! I really like this belt design, as a person who really uses a belt every day, it’s good to see better designs on the market.
Dan I too own a kore cc belt. Had it for several years. One of the better purchases I've made in years. Just decided to order the new version after seeing this video.
Ratchet belts are nice but I switched to the arcade elastic belt about 2 years ago and couldn’t be happier!! The elastic is movable but holds great, I even carry with an IWB holster with it no problems at all! That said I like free stuff too, so... lol
Nice! Belts also work for lightweight hiking. I carry 2 days of food on my belt, when I take a frameless backpack, it really helps those tiny straps. You do need a sturdy belt, though.
Hey Dan! I've been watching your vids for weeks now...getting great info for my upcoming PCT hike across Oregon this yr. Thanks for all the great, 'down to earth' advice.
Looked at their web site and ordered one with the Dan Becker Good Deal. I wear at EDC Belt every day that has a velcro closure so it also it fully adjustable. A very handy feature. It will be interesting to see how this one stands up, but with the Dan Becker Seal of Quality I figured I would not go wrong.
I use a EDC belt all the time for work and hiking. The stiffness of them simply work so well. Neat video and I recommend a belt designed to carry the heavy objects you mentioned regardless if you or don't have one.
Dan I've been wearing kore belts for several years now. Got 3 of them. I would say that Kore makes the best track belts of any brand. And I gave away all my old belts with holes a long time ago. Its all I wear now.
I found the Restrap Belt a few years ago and I don't think I'll wear any other belt. It's the most comfortable and convenient belt I have ever purchased.
I have used the canister stove and fuel cubes a lot up until last year. Now for most of my trips I have been using an alcohol stove. Sometimes in cold weather it can be hard to start, but overall it works great.
Hi Dan. I noticed that you bought Heet for your alcohol stove. I also used that until a friend of mine who has a bush crafting school posted that Heet has a bunch of harmful chemicals in it. It's designed for car engines. May I recommend using Denatured Alcohol. Works just as good without the harmful chemicals. Also the higher percentage rubbing alcohol works great. I would not want to cook and eat anything cooked over Heet. God Bless Brother
I always need to adjust my belt for both seasons - larger for watching football/hockey season, and smaller for getting my butt out in the mountains season.
Cool belt. I use a Grip6 belt. Looks like it has all the same benefits but with an additional benefit of the tong fitting underneath the belt itself, so it never flaps or causes issues with what you have hanging off you belt. Yours looks cool too, with that clicky ratchet thing.
This Belt looks like it would be very usefully when carrying that thing no one is allowed to mention.. I have 3 different of those things each needing me to adjust my belt... Thanks for the opportunity!
I'm Canadian, so not allowed to "carry" anything heavy on my belt. But I have been looking for a really good belt to wear every day. The old beer belly can cause grief to a regular belt. Might just have to give one of these a try. Price is decent so the exchange rate will not kill me.
Seems pretty legit. I use web type belts for work, so can totally relate to the fold over.. I’m a little beefy, and my typical thing I carry on my belt varies, but even the little one makes my web belt fold over sometimes.
I have a couple of ratchet style belts (more for dress than outdoor activity). Got them for $20-30 on Amazon (different brands). I've had one for just over a year and it's really great, hardly shows any wear. I'm a big fellow so put some strain on belts. I hadn't thought of a nylon/webbing version. Gonna check this one out. Thanks!
Hey Dan! Now I don't doubt for a second that different belt designs are ultimately needed for the variety of functions and preferences. The Kore Essentials belt looks very solid for holding the "pressures" by either things being attached to it or the "inside pressures" we'll say. :) I had never heard of them but will check them out for sure! Being a backpacker though...a few years ago I went looking for a belt that would work especially well in combination with a hip belt. Grip6.com cannot be ignored in the world of quality and simplicity (compare the buckles!). I love them for everyday wear and I especially love them for wearing beneath a hip belt. But I have not carried significant weight on the belt itself...but I'm sure the Kore Essentials shines there! Thanks for your awesome, always informative channel! I'm sure any potential benefit to me by posting here will be negated by mentioning another brand....but I had to. :) #packon
I'm in! Great alternative to all the different belts I have tossed out. As a 20 year veteran I carry some of those "other" items and would live to try this out. Thanks and keep up the great work!
I have a similar belt that is not as adjustable. I've lost weight and it is now to big. I think I will be ordering one of these. It will shooting with my waist as I back pack more.
Well it’s not demonetized yet lol so that good 🙌 I’ve been using a ratchet style belt for about a year now and love it. I’ll check them out! Loved the vid bro
I came across this concept for belts back when I had my first visit to China and I've used it ever since for everyday use. It's like a zip tie that you can easily open again. However from my experience this type of "leather" tends to crack open after a while. It's a bit annoying. Also for hiking I prefer to use what seems to be called a 'canvas belt'. The canvas seems more flexible and light compared to a zip tie belt - better suited for hiking if you ask me.
Kore belts are totally legit folks. I have a black leather and one green tactical and you really can't get a better belt. And yes these track belts as they are called do act like a giant zip tie only these are very nice quality. The best quality of any of the track belt brands if you ask me. If you eat too much you can subtly let it out without anyone noticing or take in the belt when your waist is smaller, even when walking. I will never go back to regular belts again Im spoiled. Thanks to Dan for the review.
Grip6 for backpacking since I haven’t found anything that’s lighter. Mission belts - Italian leather for suits. Kore Essential to carry a weapon. You’re welcome, everyone!
cool belt I like the idea of it for daily wear but not for backpacking. My Arcade belt has been my go to for the last 2 years of backpacking, hiking, heck pretty much anything active.
not looking to enter have enough belts but the alcohol stove been using them for years and just a tip on fuel, a lot of people use "heet" which is gas line antifreeze look into methyl hydrate in the paint section of a hardware store, basic same stuff but way cheaper to buy
Dickies made a version of that style of belt that I used own and I liked it very much. Was sold by Wally World for around $20 (not anymore). Unfortunately for $20, it wasn’t made to last or hold my holster and didn’t last more than 2 years.
I've used click belts for 2 years. Since I got legal...I have needed the extra stiffness..and since I turned 65... And yea I cut my first one too short. Skinny buddy loves it!
I have the two same belt, they’re great, but I’m thinking I’m going to get one of the canvas ones for hiking. I’m hoping they’d dig less into my hips when carrying my pack.
Hey Dan. I didn’t think I would like that belt at first look, but after watching your review, it looks pretty good. I am a belt guy and am constantly searching for a better belt. Thanks for your videos!
Great video! No one ever talks about belts. Others are probably going to mention this, but I'm a huge fan of the Grip 6. It's completely on the other end of the spectrum in terms of heavy duty. It's really only meant to hold up your pants or shorts, which is perfect if that's all you need it to do. It's really light weight, it's infinitely adjustable (no problems of being between holes), and most of all, the buckle lays really, really flat. I get tired of other buckles that get caught on things, but the Grip 6 just doesn't have that problem. They make a carbon fiber one, which I want because of the ridiculousness rather than the ultalight-ness. (If we're being honest with ourselves "ultra-light" would be a piece of para-cord or just running shorts. But I digress.) Also, sorry, no Instagram account here :-(
That is one nice belt. I wear a generic tactical belt, which has met my needs for several years, but this one looks like it would be even more functional in a greater range of scenarios. Good luck on being ignored by the algorithm gods.
I use the tomashoo titanium alc stove with the built in pot stand and titanium wind screen , got tired of the poor performance of the canister stove in cold Temps
I finally caved and ordered one today - after calling them to consult on size and styles... super nice dude at the store. Ordered, and eagerly awaiting.
Nice video. I always wear belts on the trail. I forgot one on a trip when I started with drawstring pants and was devastated! Also your dog is adorable!!!!
I do enjoy the gear you do talk about. It’s the little things that really matter when your 10 miles in the back country. Thanks for another great vid!!!
Going on a 5 day 50 mile hike with my Son’s Scout Troop. This belt looks like a perfect match for my needs. Finding a good belt that can be adjusted on the fly to support the extra gear I attach for my EDC makes this a winner! Thanks Dan I finally got wise and added you on Instagram! Everyone Share and Sub!
I always like a good belt. It's a "silly" item that gets overlooked. But i realized my nylon belt i bought for backpacking, the buckle rubs against my shirt with the pack hipbelt tightened down. So I've been on hunt in the past year. I think I've seen these before and wondered how good they were. Sorry, don't have IG. I know this doesn't qualify me, but still wanted to comment.
Love the belt! I have a tactical belt, but it's not made well, starting to fray on the top edge where I clip my phone case on. Literally coming undone. Keep the great vids coming!
Hey Dan, great video! I just took my first backpacking trip to Catalina Island in CA, and I owe you so much for your excellent advice! I feel like you encouraged me to go out there. I would definitely love to get my hands on that belt, and I wish everyone else the best of luck!
Looks like an awesome belt. Way better the traditional style belts. With different thicknesses of pants would be easier to dial in the perfect fit. I sometimes find myself wishing I had a hole or a notch in between the factory holes because one feels to tight and one feels to loose. Already a follower on UA-cam, Instagram, and Facebook. Love all your videos, keep up the good work. 👍
Enjoyed the belt review and the dancing around the potential demonetization over 2nd Amendment stuff.
These are truly amazing belts as Dan describes and so simple to size and adjust. Great all-purpose belts that will stand up to anything and look very nice.
Going out to get this belt now. Thanks Dan. Enjoy your posts too.

I’m wearing that belt as I watch your video. I live in Texas and hike in the boonies where feral Hogs live. Guess what I carry on my belt?!
I have 4 of these belts for outdoor use and love them!!! They carry anything you can strap on it and it fully adjusts to your precise size, its genius!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Kore essentials belts!! I need a new one because after like 5 years mine is finally needing replaced. Best belt I’ve ever owned!

These Kore belts are excellent. Easy to wear. Easy to adjust. Looks great. Highly recommended from me.
That belt looks AMAZING! Well done on the review, and discussion of carrying "heavy things" on said belt.
Lol, "heavy things"
Dan thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience, it’s been great to have your unique perspective on UA-cam! I really like this belt design, as a person who really uses a belt every day, it’s good to see better designs on the market.

Been thinking about one of these for awhile, currently I daily carry a particular item on a belt I had made from a tack shop and I love it.
Been eyeballing Kore belts for some time, hate losing my pants in the backcountry. I am in now.
That is such a great design and honestly so practical for every type of outing you may wish to go on.

Kore makes awesome gun belts. I now own 2 of the tactical ones for the range and hunting trips.
Who knew? Me suddenly having an interest in belts! Genius with that "teeth system" and not relying on holes.
I use a EDC belt all the time for work and hiking. The stiffness of them simply work so well. Neat video and I recommend a belt designed to carry the heavy objects you mentioned regardless if you or don't have one.

Ive had the tactial belt for over a year now and its been incredible, I wear it at least 5 times a week for work and it still looks new
I always need to adjust my belt for both seasons - larger for watching football/hockey season, and smaller for getting my butt out in the mountains season.
You are what got me into backpacking and I'm so greatful I found your channel.
Taylor Terry love this comment!
Holy crap that belt is legit! All my belts are curved and sagging and I always wondered if there was a solution. Very nice! Thank you!
Cool belt. I use a Grip6 belt. Looks like it has all the same benefits but with an additional benefit of the tong fitting underneath the belt itself, so it never flaps or causes issues with what you have hanging off you belt. Yours looks cool too, with that clicky ratchet thing.

I have the two same belt, they’re great, but I’m thinking I’m going to get one of the canvas ones for hiking.
I’m hoping they’d dig less into my hips when carrying my pack.
Thanks for the videos and the opportunity! I’d never heard of this company but I’ll be looking into these belts for sure.
These belts are great. My husband loves his.
Hey Dan. I didn’t think I would like that belt at first look, but after watching your review, it looks pretty good. I am a belt guy and am constantly searching for a better belt. Thanks for your videos!
I've been using Grip 6. I like them, but not as stiff as I would like for EDC. Thanks for the information.
A belt walks into a bar and says...”I’m gonna get waisted!”
He means to say gun but has allowed them to take his freedom of speech.
Corey Partain OH! Is that what he was saying?
Lol. Just for clarification. Yes, they refrained him from saying Gun. Sorry. Got all passionate.
@@woodalexanderok.
WoW...I'm blown away by this belt!! I've got to try this belt.I wear belts everyday even even hiking.
I dont have instant gram...

I've actually been contemplating buying one of these for years now. Not sure why I haven't done it yet.
That is one nice belt. I wear a generic tactical belt, which has met my needs for several years, but this one looks like it would be even more functional in a greater range of scenarios. Good luck on being ignored by the algorithm gods.
I thought about buying one of these belts but still putting my hammock gear together and it’s not high on my list of priority items but, love it.
Thanks for the video, the belt has a nice design, really like that you can trim it’s length yourself
That belt is right up my alley. I really like the ratcheting idea. I will have to pick one up soon.
I use the tomashoo titanium alc stove with the built in pot stand and titanium wind screen , got tired of the poor performance of the canister stove in cold Temps
Great Belt by KORE, I own 2 of the tactical belts and use them for work (LE), Highly recommend them!
I finally caved and ordered one today - after calling them to consult on size and styles... super nice dude at the store. Ordered, and eagerly awaiting.
man i struggled with belts for years.. your right no one has talked about this before.. i ll have to look into these.. thanks dan
This belt looks sweet! Mine are always too big and have to keep punching extra holes
Nice video. I always wear belts on the trail. I forgot one on a trip when I started with drawstring pants and was devastated! Also your dog is adorable!!!!
I do enjoy the gear you do talk about. It’s the little things that really matter when your 10 miles in the back country. Thanks for another great vid!!!
I like that locking design they have on the inside!
I want the belt pleeeeeaaaaaase. Loved it. I am young and I do not have a good belt yet and this is amazing.
Yea I could use another belt for all my heavy gear you mentioned. Never can have too many belts
Those belts look amazing. All of mine are getting super old and can't hold their shape. It would be great to have a belt that would hold its shape.
That’s a genius belt design. How in the world has that not caught on with every belt manufacturer!?
I would love that belt and alcohol stoves work pretty good but nowhere near as fast as canister good luck with it
Fantastic looking belts Dan. I always carry heavy gear on my leather belts, whether it be tools or knives and they stretch and wear out fast. Cheers!
It's fun to see the progress in how much fun you're having doing these videos. Keep doing what you love. Great videos!!
That does seem like a perfectly adjustable belt for EDC, whether you carry any given day or not. Interesting. I don't do the Insta-thingie though.
Love the belt! I have a tactical belt, but it's not made well, starting to fray on the top edge where I clip my phone case on. Literally coming undone. Keep the great vids coming!
Just ordered 2 of their EDC belts with your code. Thanks for the video.
I do carry when I hike alone. Looks like a great belt. Thanks Dan
Hey Dan, great video! I just took my first backpacking trip to Catalina Island in CA, and I owe you so much for your excellent advice! I feel like you encouraged me to go out there.
I would definitely love to get my hands on that belt, and I wish everyone else the best of luck!
Cesar Vazquez YOU WIN!! email me for details.. danbeckeroutdoors@gmail.com
Thank you, thank you!!! I just emailed you.
Hi Dan, I just received my Kore Essentials belt! Thank you so much!!!
Really cool belt. I always need a belt when I go backpacking.
What did the 0 say to the 8? “Nice belt!”
He means to say gun but has allowed them to take his freedom of speech
Looks like an awesome belt. Way better the traditional style belts. With different thicknesses of pants would be easier to dial in the perfect fit. I sometimes find myself wishing I had a hole or a notch in between the factory holes because one feels to tight and one feels to loose. Already a follower on UA-cam, Instagram, and Facebook. Love all your videos, keep up the good work. 👍
Nice belt , would work great for my heavier items, plus I have a small waist (29) so the sizing of this is a big plus for me
I don't do Instagram but thank you for the info on this belt. I have been looking for something along these lines.
I recently got a belt similar to this. I love the ratcheting functionality of them.
Awesome belt I always get anxious about having stuff on my person.
Dry backpack called fe active its waterproof indeed for campers on a budget it's on Amazon 40 bucks well worth it
Would love to win for my husband! He’s always complaining about carrying certain things on his belt.
I have their Tac Gun belt and it is solid. I wouldn't mind trying the classic web belt for out on the trail...
