Composite fuel tank service [Aprilia Leonardo restoration] ⛽🛢️🪄⚙️

The first video in a series of videos on the maintenance and restoration of the Italian-Japanese scooter Aprilia Leonardo (Yamaha Majesty engine).
Fuel system is the place to start maintenance of any not new vehicles because problems with the engine power system are the most common causes of power loss and unstable engine performance.
But despite this fact, most owners ignore this system for some reason and look for problems elsewhere.
📌 Inspection of the fuel system is recommended once a season, even if you have no obvious problems with the performance and reliability of any machinery with internal combustion engines. Since there are always some impurities and debris in the fuel, which definitely get into your fuel tank, accumulate and start clogging the entire power system. As a result, the engine loses its power potential and gains the potential for unpredictable failures.
Universal step-by-step maintenance plan:
1️⃣ A typical fuel system always starts with the tank, hence inspection and cleaning should begin there.
2️⃣ Together with the fuel tank, the fuel pump, filter and fuel lines are always inspected.
3️⃣ The last step is the inspection and cleaning of the fuel-air mixture injection system/device in the engine. In case of mechanical injection - carburetor. In case of electronic injection - fuel ramp with injectors (what is usually called injector)
