Crap music too which doesn't capture the vibe of a fighting game at all. This wouldn't have been out of place in a Lotus Turbo Challenge competitor but not Street Fighter.
We can say that Amiga was not the ideal machine to play fighting games. The biggest problem was obviously that most Amiga owners had a joystick with just one button, not enough for all the special moves you want to see in a game of this kind. The A1200 hardware was powerful enough for a game like street fighter 2 but the A500 wasn't. Too bad Commodore didn't update the Amiga earlyer.
In terms of graphics, A500 OCS can handle Shadow Fighter and Elfmania. Unlike Genesis/MD's Street FIghter 2's development, the Amiga platform lacks good 1st party intervention. A gaming platform needs good first-party studios to develop good frameworks and 2d engines, which can be spread across various studios, hence improving the average game quality for the platform. Microsoft learns the lessons from Nintendo and Sony when it brought out ZeniMax Media (Bethesda).
Real 1200 hardware, the only way to get crystal clear images is recording from emulation,...and emulation ain't the real thing, looks far clearer on CRT screens though than l.e.d ones.
That intro music... man, what a banger.
I wonder if Ed Boon was inspired by Dino character, when he created Ferra/Torr? Both have short sidekicks they use in battle.
Ha, could be,...just could be lol
Nice music :)
Yeah It's pretty cool especially the title screen.
I hope you enjoy my channel enough to

Salve. volevo chiedervi perchè non fate un video di body blows dove spiegate le mosse speciali dei personaggi? non le trovo da nessuna parte

Dragon and Dino, how clever those names where chosen :) It's not like they look like a dragon and a dinosaur or anything :P
Programmers got lazyor couldn't be bothered attitude towards the end yer think?!
Ye!
This game gave the roster to killer instict in the coming years a robot fulgore a iceman glacious a lava man cinder a dinasaur riptor etc
That's a thought.
Danny'a fireball charge reminds me of Dragon Ninja's charging dragon punch.
Yes It's very similar,...I liked that game too,...also longplayed on my channel,...several versions.
The names of the characters were so uninspired in this. Dragon. Dino. Azona. Techno. It hurts.
Crap music too which doesn't capture the vibe of a fighting game at all. This wouldn't have been out of place in a Lotus Turbo Challenge competitor but not Street Fighter.
unimaginative tech demos... pretty much sums up team 17 imo. never liked their stuff.
You could not tell the difference between the aga and ecs version, could you?
Some stages in the AGA version has a parallax background. The game's graphics quality is not consistent when compared to Elfmania.
what is that iceman saying? 25:15
I’m on a kill-day

i used to play SF2 on my Amiga 500.
@@SticklesMickles it was crap, it did more harm to the Amiga than good.

Amiga best fighting platform ever
Talking crap you haven’t owned Amiga 500 lol the fighting games machine!
The colors are all washed out? The game looks better than this. What is this running on?

Technically inferior to Shadow FIghter and Elfmania
And those were inferior to Fightin’ Spirit.
@@austinreed7343 Wrong. Fightin’ Spirit's background gameworld is nearly static.
