Just wondering, every mounted trout I see have square tails. The only trout that are supposed to have them are browns and brookies. I guess the question is why ?
No, better study up on your trout. You're telling me an adult lake trout has a square tail? Same goes for rainbows, cutthroats, goldens and even bull trout - all rounded tails. Only square tails are browns and brookies.

Brownies have rounded tails steelhead and adult trout have squared tails
