The edges are supposed to fade naturally with wear over time.. I've already noticed it in my pair. Plus I'm too scared to try lol
I also believe that dust and wear will do the work. Imagine if it rains...

Edges are too light grey. Should’ve went a tad bit darker.
lowkey yeah, and too much paint on the brush, they need to dilute a bit with some thinner and dry brush it on so the lightening is gradual

Not having the cuts/layering of durabuck makes the shoe really plain I love this idea for these 4's. I'm a 4 guy so this is awesome!!
Looks dope. Keeping mine as is though. If I doubled up I would def try on my rock pair and leave my stock pair as is. But since I only got one my thinking is each retro has some detail that differentiates it from prior retros. So I wouldn't want to disrupt that.
These are SICK. I copped, but was hesitant because I rarely wear black and especially black shoes. But it was a pair of breds... I HAD to get a pair. I never custom sneakers this expensive (i do my customs on used sneakers I get on apps for hella cheap), but damn this looks so much better now that it has some contrast. Thanks for the idea!
As a kid of the 80’s and 90’s I remember most pairs of nike that were black durabuck had the classic white edges and the look really takes me back. However those natural light color edges tended to pick up dirt and wear out quicker in my opinion. Also this new black edge gives it a nice stealth look. I guess i should save up and get a second pair to customize the edges cuz both looks are dope!!

The 2016 Black Metallic 5s have the proper white edges and the nubuck was that dark gray kind of ashy look. That's how the Black Cement 4s should've came. 🤦♂️

They look dope, I've seen a picture of a pair of air Jordan 6 black infrared, with the Nike air on the back painted in infrared, they looked dope as well.
Ive been doing full customs with pure moneys and got these in today and wasnt feeling the all black. This gives it that detail and i have cement grey and 7 of those brushes sitting right here. In doing it. Paint holds up great i just did soles of a 2008 ajf 3 that oxidize red but i used angelus sealer on it after. This no need to if it come off touch it up. Cant wait now this sets these off
