I have never owned a good pair of shoes. I just bought the 990V5 in blue for $140. I am blown away by the quality. They fit and feel amazing. A pair of sneakers lasts me 5-7 years. Good investment. Thank you so much for showing these sneakers.
The real question is can a singular layer of foam or gel possibly be as responsive and durable as multiple individual pellets fused together (boost)? The closest anyone has gotten so far is with React and that is still a single slab that breaks down much quicker and I think it will be quite a while before a new technological breakthrough happens in the industry. In my opinion Zoom was the standard for premium cushioning until Boost was introduced and that was a 20+ year run until something better came along, it could be a while before we see the next "step".
I am a huge fan of the 990 series! Am currently rockin the V5s right now. And I second that it is the most comfortable All Day sneaker 100% and I also agree with you on sizes, I wear a 10 in UltraBoosts and Nikes but for my 990s I wear a 9.5

No matter how many Yeezy’s I own, I always keep a 990 whatever in rotation. I’m pretty sure the wave runners drew inspiration from the New Balance 900 series. Great video!!!
I've had a pair in rotation for 3 years or so now and while the construction of the shoe is excellent they get mighty uncomfortable around hour 5 of nonstop walking. To me, they're a great errand type of shoe but if you're doing a wide variety of things all day there are better options. They still look great though after years of beat so you'll get your moneys worth imo. Hope that kind of helps.

All day comfort shoe for me is definitely the Pegasus Turbos that have React in them. But I definitely know what you're talking about with Nikes hugging your feet a bit wierd. Great to have that when running but for all day it can get annoying sometimes
990 look way better than those adidas wave runners. Unpopular opinion. Kanye overkilled on the wave runner....... so we had to go back and seek the OG style: NB 990.

How i do is i walk in a retail store and simple “say size 9 please” “thanks have a good rest of you day”.
The v5 is a super awesome update. Cleaner lines than the v4 (no disrespect) and on the right side of the dad shoe vibe. Much love.

What do you use your boost for? I used it for running and it wore out alot faster than my epics
When I was younger, whenever I bought new sneakers, I would ALWAYS put my old sneakers in the box & wear the new ones out. Nice touch, Foamie!

I wear these when I have concerts and hockey games at work and they’re much better than wearing Jordan’s or Nike’s all day. Saved my feet for sure.

They are MORE comfortable if you use the runner’s loop method on the shoe. It will give you a more snug fit around your ankle. Amazing!
