Jay Clark, Thanks for the support, brother. I'm working on something for the brotherhood. I hope to have an initial offering sometime early next year. My location makes it difficult; I need to move back to the US first. If you're keen, join the mailing list on the KBH website and I'll let you know when I have the first offering ready. When did you first start seeing results from finasteride? I have been on dutasteride for 2 months now and see some minor hair growth but nothing big, I wonder if I should add minoxidil too and pretty much throw the kitchen sink at this problem, I am like nw4
Thanks for your question, Sam. I have a whole library of monthly update video from my finasteride journey (currently on month 9). I highly recommend checking those out because it answers a lot of your questions and they are quite short. I started seeing baby hairs coming in strong on my 3rd month. I use fin, min, and dermarolling. If you can, definitely add those two on top of dut. There is really no reason not to if you are able to afford it. -DJ
Hi Jacob, thanks for your question. My hair transplant in 2013 (my only one) was a complete success. I went from completely bald, to having hair on my head again. But even though I had a very large transplant (~5500 hairs), it was only enough to give coverage on my hair line and the top of my head. I didn’t have any hairs transplanted in the crown, which was still completely bald. I didn’t get on finasteride following surgery and instead opted for minoxidil only. It worked a bit; got enough hair to use hair fibers. But still was *very* thin (see my How to Apply Toppik Hair Fibers video). Started finasteride in February and have had ups and downs with growth and sheds. I’m trending back up again in terms of growth. If you check out my older videos, you’ll see I came from nothing on my head, to what you see now. I’m very happy with the result! -DJ
@@keratinbrotherhood what’s good bro I wanted to ask a question how much did the transplant cost you and also how often should you wash the pomade out of your hair I wash my hair atleast once a week
Hey Chris, to be honest, there are only three things that are scientifically proven to regrown hair: minoxidil, finasteride, and dermarolling. Have you tried any of those yet? -DJ
Thanks for the video DJ. Does the pomade option work with hair illusion? It’s the hair fibres that I use as toppik doesn’t match my hair texture. Thanks in advance
Hi Andre, I put a link in the description to a pomade that I used for some time. It is good enough. Eventually, my goal is to make something available to you guys, but for now, that’s the one I recommend if making your own is off the table. -DJ
Thanks for the response. Hey I have a question, I’m thinking about getting SMP to help fill out my hairline and crown area. Both are thinning. Can I email you some pictures of my hair? You seem knowledgeable about it and it would be dope if you can give me your opinion on it. I got a consultation and they were nice and told me everything I wanted to hear, but idk still not sure
Hi Randy, I think it is commonly accepted that he had some type of hair transplant to rebuild his hairline. I'm also pretty sure he wears hair fibers to some extent. But it's all good. He's human, just like us and has to deal with the same hair loss. -DJ
I can suggest options if you live in the US, but I'm unfamiliar with markets outside of the US. I put a link to a pomade that is a good substitute in the video description! -DJ

Honestly what’s the point of hair transplant if you can’t just KEEP it lol. In my opinion, as of now, to cure hair loss, men who see signs should start fin and stay on it for a year and see if it works. If it does great if not move on in life. But I’m starting to believe we could only cure hair loss in our early years.
I agree with you, Shirohige; early fin is the best course of action. Catching the hair loss early is the best form of prevention. Unfortunately, I was late to the party! -DJ

Hi Janick, the pomade is pretty heavy. So if your hair is straight, it will probably weigh it down and make it matte together.
