Most local bar/club based "Musicians" are nothing more than douche bag wannabe local celebrities who meanwhile get paid to work at the local music stores. Collaboration is essential yet most "musicians" are incapable of openly collaborating with each other.
UL, All your jams and songs that are in the works and all the material you graciously share on Home Skoolin’ will hopefully be showing up on another TB album.
Man, these latest instrumental short posts have been heart-bruisers. You’ve got the gift of drawing out emotions with your playing. The melodies and phrasing are incredibly evocative. I’m grateful for these.
Such a perfect cinematic tune, with a perfectly matched guitar and tone Uncle Larry. And the nicely dressed session man in black rounds things out. A life time of listening to all kinds of music and working very hard at your craft got you there. But there is clearly music that has been in your soul from the start and all that hard work is able to give voice to. Ever thankful for what you share with us.
I still marvel at how much music you have in you. It's been a few years already of you casually playing amazing stuff into a phone. Keep it coming Uncle Larry!
First to watch…I know you’ve spent countless hours honing your craft, but what I love most is the enjoyment you exude from playing. I can tell it totally takes you to “another place”. Love it!! Thank you for sharing!!
I’ve learned (from you), to first read what you have to say about your most recent post, and also, to wait until the end - before - making a comment (which makes me joyfully listen to your playing)! Nice One, Tom!
Hey Tom To me. The melody sounds like repeating struggle and the resolve sounds like internal hope. Maybe between two people that once were in love but it went sour at some point. One person who didn't want it to end is in pain and misses the days past. Anyway.....that was fantastic😊 Thanks again
We must never forget that music is first, and foremost the language of the human heart, all of the complexities and technology e.t.c are all incidental to this - if you don't move the heart you are not playing music, it is something else entirely.
Been catching up on episodes (life gets busy sometimes). All your playing blows me away, but this one struck a chord with me. Thanks for all that you brother.
I’ve been playing this video over and over for the past week. Love the feeling and dynamics in Tom’s playing style in all his posts but something about this one sticks with me. Puts me in a happy and relaxed mood. Like being outside on a beautiful fall day and the sun shine keeps you just warm enough to hang out on the porch without a coat drinking a cold one with some good friends. Just the right amount of everything. Cheers Tom!
Dude, you playing - and channel for that matter - is so sincere. It shines through and provides comfort, for real. I always feel better after tuning in. Thanks for that, man.
Uncle Larry! This is my first contribution to the VCB. I am in awe of this amazing progression. Thanks for the inspiration, and entertainment. Much love from Seattle.
I hike up to the summit of Stone Mt - I hang a bit at the top having coffee. But More importantly, Im picturing hearing this tune from somewhere out of the woods or somewhere as i have my coffee watching hawks riding the thermals. So thanks for that. I just spaced out listening to you playing that.
Very nice Tom! Dig it, excellent addition to the IAPYWP collection. HS is full of this, but a real good example of chops (dude you are so precise and clear), but (mostly) feel. Well done!

There is good still in you Anakin.
No one makes me want to grab my guitar and get lost like Larry does. Amazing.
You are so right. Happens to me nearly every time!

Yes it sure makes me grab an ax and check out the chord changes and I love this one
Right here with ya brother.
Exactly

Has anyone else had this on a loop in their garage for an hour?❤❤
Starting right now...
Not the garage.. On my couch. 😊

is this just tom improvising ?
Can see why this one would have birthed _those_ lyrics. I can't get [...] off my mind, either. Thank you, Tom.

The Pants series are Uncle Larry's etudes. To be collected, learned, studied. Oh, and they're all great pieces of music.
