This is my first time listening to her. I think her voice is very powerful and it is one of the better performances I have heard. She does a great job of sounding ethereal on the "Like a flower" verse. I would say she nailed that verse more than anyone else I have heard sing it. If I had any negative remarks, it would be that she seems to get kind of a "strangled" or "choked" sound in parts. I also see her as more of a straight-up singer than a singer-actress. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more Grizabella and a bit less Heather Headley here. But yeah, undeniable talent at work here. It's kind of sickening.

This is practically a case study on how emotion makes a performance. Memory is a song that a lot of musicians sing because it’s easy for them to make a great performance out of,at least that’s what they think. But singing the climax of this song with a smile on your face is basically devaluing the performance and showing how you clearly don’t respect the song in it’s context. It’s supposed to be a desperate plea for repentance. It’s not in any way joyful. Heather didn’t do that though. She poured her heart and soul into this song and it showed. At 3:19 you can hear her about to cry without actually crying while still making it work. Think about that. You can hear her feelings through sheer vocal dedication.
