I wanted to say that in the dining room scene Simone walks away not just because he was jealous or mad that Wille kissed someone( Which of course he was ), but most of all he was hurt by the fact that everyone was celebrating Willes kiss with Felice and cheering him up when he needed to be a secret. That's what hurt him the most.
That's what the writer said, but to me, it seemed like Simon was more upset about hearing about Wille and Felice making out, at lunch rather than from Wilhelm directly.
So that Make-up scene Edvin (the actor) said it was the moment that Wille was covering up his true self and becoming the ideal of a real “prince” so what you said is spot on. Also when he said “you don’t love me anymore” that’s a bit of a mistranslation because in Swedish he really said something more similar to “you don’t have feelings like that for me anymore” in English. Also I don’t get the feeling that he’s willing to abdicate only for Simon I get the feeling that this has been something he’s thought about it for a long time because he has a lot of pressure on him and I think that in general he may be thinks that he have a easier life if he wasn’t the crown prince but I also think that it’s not something he would’ve thought about unless he was in the situation with Simon
I don't think Wilhelm was trying to get Simon back at the party. From the conversation with Felice, he truly started to believe that their relationship was ending and tried his hardest to accept it. Wilhelm wanted to show Simon he respected his decision to move on (even if it was heartbreaking). Its interesting to see Wilhems reaction to Simon wanting space this season. Wilhelm isn't the most emotionally mature, which probably has something to do with his family. When certain emotions are never allowed, and you are always suppose to maintain a image, emotional growth suffers. For Wilhelm, Simon pushing him away means that he doesn't love him anymore, when everyone else can see that its the opposite. Its not dramatic from Wilhelms side, its just...a little childlike. To believe that, just because you react one way to heartache, someone should react the same and if not then they don't care.
I don't think it's him being childlike, it's just that we know Simon still likes him because we see Simon smelling his sweater, looking at him longingly, creating a song for him, but Wille doesn't. Agree with everything else though.
S2E4 broke me. They are both hurting so much and lashing back at the other. Wilhelm was hurt seeing Marcus kiss Simon after the rowing match. So then W made out with Felice and Simon was hurt hearing about it at lunch. So Simon danced at the ball with Marcus to make Wille jealous. They maybe don't "owe" each other anything, but they're still very in love and in pain from not being together. Wilhelm broke my heart when he said to Felice, "I'm not hopeful anymore. It hurts so much. I feel like I'm gonna die." And Simon broke my heart after Wilhelm told him that W was moving on, "You don't love me anymore. I'll leave you alone." The look on Simon's face! A stab in his heart... 16:18 Omar''s acting there is perfect! 10:00 Edvin said in an interview that he thought Wilhelm was upset looking in the mirror because he *looked* like the part of the prince but feeling so hopeless. I'm so glad that Wilhelm and Felice are good friends. I love their friendship. If you ignore the awful things August and Sara have done, they are actually cute together. They seem to actually love each other. It also broke me when Simon told Marcus that the fish didn't have any names. Simon wanted to keep that memory of Wilhelm private and special. Just for them. 18:51 There's a video of all the times Wilhelm smiles in S2. It's like 7 times. And on Jimmy Fallon, he asked them what they wanted in S3. It was either Omar or Edvin who said they wanted Simon and Wilhelm to smile more in S3. Omar's voice is angelic! Episodes 4-6 are my favorite. Both Simon and Wilhelm show such growth from S1 to the end of S2.

It is so hauntingly beautiful. I felt every emotion he was feeling....and you were spot on in your analysis. Edvin is such a talented actor for someone so young. I am in awe of his talent. You go on a journey with him this entire season. I also loved the scene at dance and Simon's reaction when Wille basically conveyed to him that he was willing to let him go. I felt the panic in his eyes. It was like all the oxygen got sucked out of the room. Episodes 4, 5 and 6 are definitely my favourites. One scene you didn't comment on here in this edit was the conversation they had at the table where they were discussing the book. I read that Lisa Abjörn fought very hard to keep that in the final edit. I think it is an extremely important scene as it's the first time they both begin to communicate an understanding of the other's perspective. Also I noticed you didn't really comment on Boris (therapist) but I definitely feel like he needs to move up in the rankings. He has definitely made a huge difference for Wille. Overall this show is so well done. It makes me super critical of other shows now...especially when they introduce unnecessary drama. LOL

He knew that during this ball he was going to make it clear to Simon that, unlike the rest of the season, he wasn't holding on to hope for them. Wilhelm was going to be supportive of Simon being with Marcus as long as Simon was happy. It wasn't a mind game on Wilhelm's part. He loves Simon and wants him to be happy even if it isn't with him. Simon was playing stupid games with Marcus' heart (even if I hate Marcus) out of jealousy and deserves to feel guilty. If only Wilhelm knew what a manipulative, gaslighting, piece of garbage Marcus really was.
i love one part of this episode is that when they at the tabile talking about the book but u can see they are talking about each other so they can understand each other that was realy good and u can tell in there eyes the eyes are the answer how they are feeling toword each other and withot anyone knows they are talking to each other about how they both are feeling.and you can tell they still love each other but it hard for both of them because of everything going on between them. and there passion; connection and there chemistry is so speical and they got strong feelings for each other but they have to work together to make it work between them.

Simon came out long ago and forgot what was it like ... he goes back to his friend and Loving mum for the comfort whilst Wille is all alone in his room, whilst Simon as Marcus said played victim ...

I find it interesting how every reaction I watched people are on team Simon, Simon who through entire heartbreak had friends and a supporting family, Simon wants to be accepted yet he actually does not accept who Wille is, he ignores the fact that Wille is a prince and a public figure, struggling with his sexuality, whos brother just died, and on the top was publicly outed ... Wille had to go through it all alone ... It often felt even though Simon was attracted and even in love with Wille he also had these uncontrolled socialist tendencies to punish him every chance he gets for being who he is ( Prince) and for coming from the privileged background as if Wille had a choice not to be born Royal ...
