    I can just barely stand up on my skates. I wondered why you needed a coach because you are so good. Then I saw how the coach skates & I got it. You can learn so much from him. My ankles are weak & I’m out of shape but I’m not giving up. You are my inspiration. Thanks you. 🌞☮️👍

    It's very strange seeing you struggle on the basic tricks, given that your freestyle looks so good in other videos.

    • @TiagoInlineSkater
      @TiagoInlineSkater  7 років тому +34

      clray123 the thing is that I have been doing them wrong this whole time, and only stayed in my comfort zone, never trying to do stuff in Switch ect. This training is going to correct all of that :)

    • @clray123
      @clray123 7 років тому +5

      Yeah, I think it's a good idea and will correct any muscle imbalances that might be there as well. I believe I did some harm to myself by using my dominant leg too much during one-legged and backwards skating. I suppose it can affect the spine and cause other problems in the long run.

    I have been skating since February and I've just bought some cones to get started on learning slalom moves! I can't wait
    Up until now I've become really good at skating on one leg while keeping the other horizontally and doing crossovers and skating in one line
    I really love skating!!
    Thank you for your amazing videos, Tiago! I learned how to stop on skates thanks to you

    Such a great video, very inspiring to watch and learn from. I am a returning skater from the 90's and I am struggling with some things getting back in the grove of skating. It makes feel, how would you say, not better but rather hopeful that I can get these techniques down. To hear you say it feels weird to skate non-dominate knowing how fluid your skating is--gives me a better hope for myself and my skating. Thanks for posting this up! -Cheers.

    I've been doing my aggressive training the same way. No teacher. Sure, it would be nice to have one regularly. As for learning tricks switch, I was always taught (in martial arts) that you should be able to do both actions on either foot. It's defiantly not as easy as my teachers always said but it is very important. Just like your own coach said Tiago, it allows more options and thus more ways to express your style.

    • @jonatanguitar
      @jonatanguitar 7 років тому +1

      I think it was super-fun to watch you train stuff that wasn't very easy actually. So I mean, you could have met with your coach and then trained on your own in some weeks, and *then* post a video when you are done with the exercises. I think it is very brave to put yourself out there like this, when you are just in the beginning. And just as you say, even get frustrated from time to time :) I mean, no-one would be happy if you started screaming at your coach haha, but this shows that it's human/real. You know sometimes we watch amazing things on the internet and everything is so perfect that we think "oh man, if even this 8 year old kid can do better than me I'm worthless... d*mn..." We never see videos of those people while they are training. Seeing you in the process of learning is really cool!
      I used to watch a lot of guitar playing videos, and it was always incredibly hard pieces of music and lightning-fast speeds etc etc. It was the same thing there, those musicians are amazing, but I never saw them sitting in their room practising. I only got the product, while I would also like to be watching the long way they travelled to get there.

      I have often gone to Palais Royal and often now there are no skaters there anymore. Thanks for the offer of showing me the basic principles. It is about knowing what the technique is and then going away and practice it over and over again. I just don't get proper up on the one wheel as it become unstable very quickly. I am in Paris on Saturday 21st October so I will look out for you. I live in Germany but go to Paris as often as I can as they have the best tarmac for skating in the world (Spain has the best climate though). thanks again!

      Bonne chance :) pour commencer le mieu est d'appliquer ces trois règles. 1 les genoux bien fléchit c'est très important car plus tu est bas sur tes appuies meilleure sera ton équilibre et les figures passerons plus facilement. 2 regarde toujours un peu plus loin ne regarde pas tes pieds cela est très important car tu dois pouvoir anticiper les plots d'après de plus ça t'aidera à rester droit car le fait de pencher la tête pour regarder tes pieds peut nuire à ton équilibre. 3 Anticipe c'est à dire qu'il est important de bien placé tes rollers entre les plots pour faciliter la réussite ou la facilité des figures.. pour cela tu peut décomposé les 80 cm entre tes plots en trois zones celle juste dérrière le plots précédent celle au milieu, celle juste avant le plot d'après.. par exemple pour une "balade avant" tu dois exécuté ton trick juste devant le plots pour que cela passe donc en zone trois.. pour voir se qui existe comme figure et pour quelques conseils éclairés surtout en tant que débutant tu peut allé sur le site ou la page Facebook de :Kompakombo. C'est un super site pour apprendre les figures de slalom. Ou en tous cas voir se qui existe affin de commencer à construire un Freestyle et ceu peu importe que tu sois débutant ou non. ^^
