seriously love these S5 reviews...its been extremely difficult but i may have to choose this over the m440i. Something about this car just shouts sexy and classy while not being too much in your face.
Both great cars! The M440i does have a sportier drive and even more power, but can't go wrong with either. Glad you liked the video :)
you're my fav UA-cam Car reviews. Very raw and honest and genuine.
Thank you so much💪 Glad to hear you like the videos!
Excellent vehicle, good power.
For sure!
Thanks for the video!
What do you think of a m240i?
Of course! The M240i is a rocket🚀
@@DMCarReviews does driving m240i feel pretty much identical to m340i in real life?
@@Denny.B. I haven't driven one, but I'm sure it feels somewhat similar, maybe even more sporty, but I can't say for sure!
Great review. You're absolutely right about the suede.
Thank you for watching! Suede is the way to go for this car.
@@DMCarReviews I had a 2021 S5 with the Napa, and it used to stress me out so much. The leather on the bolsters was really fragile. I liked the car, but overall I'm glad I traded it in.
@@mxm5783 Mine was a 2021 too! Yes, it wears out really quickly. Just look at 2-3 year old S5's, and their leather is all shiny and in wrinkles. What did you trade it in for?
@@DMCarReviews I got a GLC43. I'm very happy with it. Much more comfortable ride and feels every bit as fast.
@@mxm5783 Nice! I went with BMW. The GLC43 is very similar in performance to the S5, especially when launch control is not used.
Picking up 24 S5 premium plus w sport pkg. Chronos great with the regular trim non-blackout. Driving to a dealer 1.5 hour away that ive dealt via text only..
did they knock anything off the sticker for you?
Hello, very exciting reviews, thank you! :)
Just a question, I'm a fan of Audi, but can't choose between a5 and s5. I'm not a super racer, but feels like a5 does not have sound exhaust at all, but s5 has it along with a lot of power. I just want to feel comfort and power reserve in car. What you can suggest, maybe to look to another brand models?
Thanks in advance for reply
Hi, thank you for watching! Honestly, can't go wrong with either. The A5 45 TFSI feel just as fast in 0-80mph accelerations. The only difference where the S5 will really show it's additional power is on the highway at much higher speeds. The A5 also has less sporty seats, which are better on longer drives, but you can also order those in an S5. I would still pick the S5 personally! Look at the BMW M440i GC too.
@@DMCarReviews thank you!
Have you driven the RS5 as well? I’m debating if it’s worth the price difference.
I did, many times, and I would not get one. The ride is unbearable and it doesn't sound as good as the S5. It's also super outdated for it's price. Same cabin as an A4, plus the sport seats. For 90K, there are many more options to look at. I have a couple of RS5 videos on my channel.
what does the sport package add ?
he available S Sport Package comes with a sport rear differential, sport adaptive damping suspension, and red brake calipers.
You have 2 other 2024 S5 SB Premium+ videos in recent months. How is this one different?
This one has suede seats and no sport package. The one before that did, and there is another one that is on 19" rims. To be honest, they all feel very similar, but I just enjoy filming them, and many seem to love watching S5 content. I had a 2021 myself! I think they are great cars and super fun to drive.
@@DMCarReviews Cool thanks! I had S4s back in the day, but eyeing an M340i now. See your video and it looks great and fast!
@@AviationDirection You are talking about this video, or the M340i video?
@@DMCarReviews Your separate M340i video.
@@AviationDirection Yeah, the M340i can really move!
Why didn't you use launch control?
It's a brand new car. I did attach some more extensive testing data after the 0-60 runs, if you're interested in seeing more times.
Picking up 24 S5 premium plus w sport pkg. Chronos great with the regular trim non-blackout. Driving to a dealer 1.5 hour away that ive dealt via text only.. 4:00
@@WoodshavenPatriot What dealer did you talk to? Reach out to Brian, I'm sure he can get you an even better offer.
can u do c43 2021 sedan or c43 2023 sedan
I'll try! Not too excited to drive a new C43 though...
The reason why you did not feel comfortable during that exit At 52mph, is because your car didn’t have the sport differential. I would have to disagree with you and say that if you had the sport package with the sport differential during the accelerating turn is exactly where you’re going to see the difference with handling & control. Either way, great videos…
Makes no difference. I've driven many, if not tens of S5's with and without the sport package, and they all feel the same in every aspect, besides the ride stiffness. The ones with the Sport Package ride worse. As far as 52mph, that's a good speed. The record in that turn is 54 mph so far in the i5 M60. The Giulia did 53mph. I'm sure I could have done more in each car, but that was the "comfortable" limit for each car.
@@DMCarReviews so are you saying that you feel no difference in cornering with the sports diff in an s5 at all…?
@@Paramedicated I didn't feel any. Maybe on a track I would feel some kind of difference, but not in normal or active cornering from what I've experienced. If I drive both, and you don't tell me which one has it or not, it would be hard for me to tell.
What happened to your shorts? 😢
Deleted all of them.
Those 0-60 times are over 1 second above what it should be.
So you're saying it should be 3.5 seconds? I literally posted a 4.54s run from LC, assuming you've watched the whole section where I go over performance numbers.
@@DMCarReviews Yes it’s 4.5. But I could have sworn you said 5.5 in the video. Maybe I can’t hear lol.
@@AviationDirection That was without launch control. It's 5.4-5.6s on average without it.
the hundai sonata kinda looks like this car from the side..
Nah
