For me personally, once I did some digging and found out how much these bags cost to make vs what they are actually selling them for I just could never justify buying them anymore. No shade to anyone that does buy them though. ❤
I just can’t get behind the miu miu bag. This is going to be the bag associated with 2024 where we all look back and cringe in a few years. Good for miu miu but the older I get the less likely I fall into these traps! I go classic all the way!
I have a Gucci Horsebit Mini, but almost went for the Jackie. The reason I didn't was the fact that it's open, whereas the Hosebit has a flap. Why are there so many luxury bags without a secure fastening beats me? It's definitely a deal breaker, imho! So, while I still love the shape of the Jackie, this reinforces my opinion that I made the right choice. ❤
I bought a few months ago the Demellier New York bag. I bought the large size because I wanted to use it as a work bag and had the need to carry my 13inch laptop and iPad. I love it, it is one of the greatest work bags I have ever had. I love that it doesn't loose its shape, even if I have all my work things in it. I evaluated the smaller size, but it did not fit my laptop comfortably. The website had pictures of the things that fit and it was very helpful in making my decision. I bought it in the black leather and it looks very professional and beautiful.
I got mine a month ago and its a fantastic bag! So classy, functional and comfortable to wear. I bought it to be my work bag, but its so lightweight and comfortable that that became a daily tote
Thank you for highlighting Demellier. I have seen this brand and I was not sure how it was in the line up quality bags. There are several bags and brands that seem to be mid-line ranges and aren’t always given attention on channels. It is good to hear one of these brands validated.
Great video, but I must respectfully disagree about Chanel 22. The bag has been around for several seasons, and I don't think it will go anywhere. When you touch the leather and wear it, the bag molds to your body; it's heavenly. I love it. Plus, the resale value is still super high. I think it's a good purchase.
I have the Demellier New York Midi in the Black Ecru Stitching and I love it. I like the exclusivity of it. No one really mentions them but they make such beautiful, quality bags.
I have the smaller Demelier New York in green and I love it. I like the proportions and shape of it better than the bigger version. And I love that it is this in between size that fits a lot without being a huge tote.
I bought the Demellier New York Midi Bag and really enjoying my purchase. I didn't get the large one because it seemed too large and I was not shopping for a work bag.
I went for the Demellier large New York tote and I absolutely adore it. The reason I went for it is because it fits a laptop and other things easily, whereas you would not get a laptop in the midi. The midi can also only be worn on the crook of your arm whereas I like a comfortable shoulder bag.
I love how all these ladies advice/recommend what bag is proper/in style and so on.. after they have had colected already hundreds of other designer bags..I only have a LV neverfull damier ebene as a designer bag..for me that s the bag Guru …probably when I ll reach a 100 more others than I will also say don t buy this and that …
The Demellier new york Midi is one of the best bags i own in my collection. The midi size is perfect for everyday and it comes with a strap. Its still so spacious and i can fit several items like an ipad and large cosmetic pouch. The leather and structure of the bag is also impeccable. Hope you get that style! I have the black with ecru stitching, and will be getting the new gray one that jus came out ☺
Amazing! Yes, definitely considering this size, as I've seen other comments recommending sizing down from the large one. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it ❤️
I think the Gucci Jackie only really works in the larger shoulder style. As you mentioned, in the smaller sizes it is very thin and not functional. In the larger size it is actually a perfect all day bag (if you don't need to carry the kitchen sink).
Glad that you changed your mind about the Flamenco! It doesn't appeal to me at first as well (reminds me of your sorting hat commentary haha) BUT as soon as I got the dark burgundy color and tried it on myself, I instantly got it why people are raving about it. The bag has a soft, feminine quality to it and to me, who always dress in sweats, it elevates my outfit and makes it a bit lady like it that makes sense! Really a great bag for a lazy, casual dresser like me
I love the Jackie Bag! Especially the burgundy one that has recently been released. I own two vintage ones and a re-issued one in burgundy with suede details 🥰 Imho the color combination you picked makes the bag look a little bit like an "old lady" bag (except for the cross-body strap 😃). I think it makes a big difference which color and material (canvas or full leather) you choose with this bag. But it all comes down to personal preferences 🙂.
@@ChaseAmie I sold totally and never full, and kept Mezzo. It is heavy so if won’t take it hiking, but it is perfect for work carrying laptops or for packing kids sports stuff.
Hi Amie, I am curious which leather/colour will u pick, if u’re going for Demelier New York style? I am in between tan ecru stitching and mocha suede. Thanks in advance, love ur style!
I Just bought The New York bag from Demellier in Mocha Suede in large size (as my work bag and need to carry my laptop). It’s really nice. Different design and very chic in my opinion. Time tells if the quality is really good I guess.
I have the Loewe Flamenco from 2013 (abt 12 inch base). It has the knots at the pull and it’s in calf. It is low key, wears well, travels well, holds a lot (but I prefer to put less in it as I prefer the slouchy look). It’s my forever bag.
I agree with you on the Demellier pieces, I love that these brands are bringing out some unique styles that can still be considered classics for under $1000z Yusefi is another brands Ive been eyeing with beautiful sillouhettes under $1000 too
Shrathberry has a similar version of the Loewe Flamenco, but theirs has a structured bottom which might appeal to certain people who don't like a slouchy pouch bag.
I love your reviews and I value your opinion 😊 what do you think about LV pochette metis in reverse monogram? I always loved that bag but never had money to buy it. Now I've changed the job and saved a bit so thinking of buying it for Christmas. Is it still worth it? Thanks x
@@ChaseAmie you can fit a lot more in the New York and with fall weather, if you don’t want to wear your cardigan extra layer sweater, you can fit it in a New York bag. And when you’re shopping, you can just fit a lot more in there. So in your case since you have a young little one I can see the New York being better for you. is small and I like my totes to fit under the arm and the New York is better in that not the midi specially in winter when you’re wearing jackets and layers.
Hi, i am curious in terms of how this bag’s shape is holding with the suede version? Also is the suede as vulnerable as claimed? Love to hear ur comment. Thanks in advance 😊
💖💖💖 Please do a video on what fits in the Miu Miu and Tod’s mini bag. I love the way it looks crossbody! I thought the Bottega Venata Andiamo bag was pretty nice. First Groot, now Harry Potter sorting hat. 😂😂😂 I just absolutely love the analogies you and Dan come up with over the years. Abu & Aladdin tassel hat thing; word art ombre. Waiting for Leo to be old enough to add in his commentaries as well! 😉😅😂
Amie, love your suede hobo/tote. In the video it looks like there’s a huge scratch mark down the front, is that just a lighting illusion? I was going to look into it, but I’d need something hardy and I know how well you care for your bags, so maybe this one’s not for me?
I'm wondering about the Senreve bags. I bought a couple of them on your recommendation a couple of years ago but have not seen anything about them since. Are they no longer considered luxury?
Hi Amie! You recently mentioned that 24S will be going live with a fall promotion - do you know when that is happening and will you be posting a video about it? Thanks for your wonderful content, as always! :)
I adore your periwinkle-coloured top, Amie! Perfection on you! I agree with your assessment, but, I DO find the Sardine to be interesting-looking. What do you think of LV’s new reversible Neverful? I can’t decide! Have a lovely September week, dearest! ❤👜❤
I have always thought the Chanel 22 looks like a garbage bag but I also caved in and bought a small black one. LOL. I own mostly classics (Chanel classic flaps, Diana, Lady Dior, Fendi Peekaboo, etc) and prefer small bags because I don't carry much. The most edgy bag I have is Chanel 19 which I still love. I still think Chanel 22 looks like a garbage bag as an owner and it's the most expensive and kinda edgy garbage bag ever. LMAO But I must say it is my go-to grab-and-go bag especially to go to work. If I don't know which bag to use, I just grab that (it's my largest bag) and dump all my essentials in it and go.
@@ChaseAmie I’ve used it only a few times but I like it! It holds a lot so it can get heavy. The magnet makes a satisfying thud and it’s easy to open and close. It’s very casual but I also bought the donut chain to dress it up a bit.

I love my Chanel 22 bag. Yes it is pricy but I have not stopped using it. Works for me as a small tote/everyday grab and go :)

I have the Demiller New York tote in the large size. It’s a great work bag, but it is heavy. I wish I bought the smaller size.
Nice! ❤ this will help me decide which one I should consider now

I have one in beige color 😊

Mezzo is my dream bag for 15 years and I am so happy they re-produced it and made it better. Ordered it launch and have been using it every day :)

I really don’t get the Sardine bag. I’d rather buy Lanvin’s cat bag, they are so underrated 😢
Some people just prefer a lighter bag because a leather bag is heavier and looks less casual
Have you sold all of your Chanel?
Valentino is 2 different houses though…right?
It's called the sardine bag because the handle looks like a sardine.
Yes, I was going to write this! 😅

The Chanel 22 reminds me of a garbage bag.
