Chosen your knowledge on these mods is crazy. I have played through a lot of tech packs and learn little things from your channel constantly. Things I never would have thought of. Thanks
I'd recommend pipez for the nuclear waste because they don't have any internal storage like the tubes from mekanism. So if you manage to break a pipe you will not get radiation everywhere
I was always wondering, why you do the reactor redstone logic on the side of the reactor. In this pack with the conduits it's quite nice to do, but you actually don't need to do any modded redstone stuff like that (or wireless redstone from create i think). You can do all of that on the top and then you only need a line of redstone. You could also save you the trouble of the not gate, since you can choose on the redstone inputs/outputs of the reactor if they are inverted.
By now I have probably seen you setting up fission reactor several times. But you make it interesting every single time :) And I also learn something new every single time!
the spent waste if anyone was wondering. interface on the Reaction chamber, and a storage bus on the matter condenser set to destroy items. then all you need is to power up this mini network with a power accepter and bye bye waste.
If you see the uses of reactor casing in JEI you can adjust the size you want and it will tell you the materials needed, and also the max burn rate for water and sodium
I can't believe I'm saying this in 2024 but the Celestial Manipulator from Draconic Evolution does change day cycle much cleaner and cheaper (only costs power) 😅 I have two of them, one that changes it to day at sunset, and another that clears rain the moment it starts to rain 😁
@@ChosenArchitect Im curious how you'll record the chaos dragon fight because it is still indeed just pure chaos. Got my butt swiftly kicked 😅 (proof on my profile) Can't wait for the ep! 😆
Hey chosen been watching you for years and I learned from you a lot keep the food work! Im waiting for a new episode each day like a kid waiting for his favourite show to come on! P.s I think a celectial manipulator from draconic evolution is much more simple solution for keeping the day...
There is a fast way to void spent nuclear waste: pump it into an entangled block bound to a waste barrel that gets automatically broken and placed again in some far away loaded chunk you don't care about (or a hyperbox). Used that when I felt the need for a maxed out nuclear reactor.
On second thought, I think I had to do some weird stuff with the entagled block for it to pump correctly or make sure the pipes didn't break the connections when the barrel got broken. Like pumping into a barrel -> entangled block to that barrel in hyperbox -> some gas transport to another barrel that gets broken
You can just pump it into a matter condenser from AE2 to completely void it. Matter condenser doesn't accept gas by default, but with a simple interface -> storage bus subnet works perfectly.
I’m still curious as to why people use pipez for just water when the Mekanism ultimate pipes are faster. Don’t get me wrong, I love the universal pipez for phytogenic setups but outside that, I just don’t see a reason for pipez once mekanism is auto crafted.
@@ChosenArchitect I know you're not using the steam for generating power, but having the entangoloporter there is still good on the off chance you decide to use the steam later on anyway (which is what I'm doing).
I recently picked up the integrated dynamics mod, and I'm shocked at how under utilized it is. There are SO many uses that no one seems to take advantage of. To start with, it's such a simple, easy, and quick way to get a beginner storage system set up, and it's more than enough to last you into mid game. There's even some simple autocrafting! I guess it's a little intimidating to many because the threshold to entry is a baseline knowledge of coding, but even so- it's criminally underrated.
evertime i watch something you show me something new i never knew about the dropper i have thrown away so many machines lol also just a question im not there yet can you trashcan nuclear waste
On the "Draconic Evolution" Mod, you have a way to make it day all the time consistently and permanently. An interesting way to tap into the mod if you fancy it!

I practically learnt most things from him 😂
you should just be able to put the trash can on the output and it will instantly get rid of it , at least that's how it worked in atm7

Pipez are for fluids, not gases
@@azteczekthere is pipe for gas
@@azteczek there are gas pipe
@azteczek universal pipez. Also, minecraft mods make me a bit agitated because gases are fluids.
As far as i know placing the ultimate trash can directly in front of the reactor port works as well
Omg! That trick of putting blocks in your off hand with building wands is amazing! I didn't know that one.

If you use a quartz fiber to create an ae2 subnet, you can use an interface to send it into a matter condenser

Ah, the classic mekanism "I don't need you for power, I just want pollonium" reactor. Love it.
If you see the uses of reactor casing in JEI you can adjust the size you want and it will tell you the materials needed, and also the max burn rate for water and sodium
these videos are so good i've learned so much from these 22 episodes keep it up chosen

what are you using to detect the rain? Im using the vanilla Daylight Detector in night mode for day cycle but dont know what to use to detect rain
@@jesuslozanosanchez2397 Draconic Evolution has a rain detector
Your base looks like it could fold up into a spaceship
I always void spent nuclear waste with an ultimate trashcan. it works.

That trick with the water was a lifesaver, i was using like 35 sinks with 6 ultimate pipe upgrades per sink
with infinity water you can go up to 512mb injection rate that will not explode, after that it will take damage even with water in it
Yeah, because after 512 injection rate you would really need the sodium as coolant

What I did is hook up the spent waste to 50 waste barrels and then it slowly decays
@PerfectT93 yeah. Turn the spent nuclear waste into matter balls😂
@@PerfectT93 How is a subnet allowing the matter condenser to accept gases?
How about just putting the trashcan on the coolant port directly?

I think the trashcan on steam directly next to the port should work. Is the entangloporter necessary?
you know what..... maybe not and I have no idea why I didnt think of that O.O
@@ChosenArchitect I know you're not using the steam for generating power, but having the entangoloporter there is still good on the off chance you decide to use the steam later on anyway (which is what I'm doing).
hey
i love you vid always makes me happy
I know one thing is that I probably would have my base be radioactive if I even tried to use the reactor.
me too the first time, but its manageable :D
It's very manageable. The main thing is to catch the reactor before it reaches the critical damage threshold and goes boom.
im using daylight sensor to turn plutonium on/off ;) need to make it day all the time asap
do quantum entangloporters not do power transfer? could skip gates in lots of cases if so, saving a side of machines

the only problem is the tps lag when you dont have a realy good grasp of the mod
draconic has a easier way to make it daylight and not raining
evertime i watch something you show me something new i never knew about the dropper i have thrown away so many machines lol also just a question im not there yet can you trashcan nuclear waste
Iirc, you can get rid of the spent nuclear waste with a fluid trash can.
Interesting! That seems like a oversite to me on the Mod devs part are that waste isnt supposed to be voided like that :D
@@ChosenArchitect well, technically, it's a gas, the fluid trash can voids fluids and gas, it's not a bug, it's a feature
But you should test in creative before putting it in your world, i did it in a old atm9 version. Maybe it got patched since.
@@itsmuffintime6414 Nope, Mekanism now fix it, you can only pipe it into the drums now

i cant get the logic cable to instant send water at 999999 the transfer just stops
I'm so scare to do this. I'm doing it 500block distant from my base
