People have been slating Rolex for years including me for not being adventurous. Same old boring releases year on year minimal design change. This whole illusion of shortage in production, supply/demand and in turn creating a monster. Years waiting list for a new sub when in actual fact it’s hardly any different to a 5 year old sub you could get your hands on. Although it’s not something I would wear personally, I think this is great. This is what people have been asking Rolex to do (be more adventurous) go outside the norm and now it’s released people are hating on it. No it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but appreciate it for what it is. A watch/luxury item should be an extension of people’s personality this could be for some people fun, not too serious, playful. Remember a watch isn’t there to just tell the time no more we all have smart phones and Apple Watches for that….
Surprised you didn’t mention the re-profiled case on the Daytonas, especially the SS case. The old case was lopsided and the new one is more symmetrical.
Yes the new case is great, but not much to talk about. Hard to say how it will compare to the 116500LN since we don't have hands on experience with the new piece 😁👍
@@MarcoFerranteWatches once the odd shaping of the SS case was pointed out to me, I couldn’t un-see it. The precious metal cases were not like this. I think they fixed a problem and made all the cases the same symmetrical shape (at least to my eye). Apparently they are thinner as well.
Marco this is the answer with the lack of anniversary sub. Tudor just dropped the BB54, and that is Rolex/Tudor designating 1954 as the anniversary for the Sub. Previously, there was controversy whether it was 1953 or 1954, but they just cemented it. Also, I’m calling a left hand Sub release on the last day of W&W. there are 2 puzzle piece clues that marry into that prediction!

Sub is usually referred to as 1953 as its oeiginal release date due to 6202 Turnograph but first Sub did appear in 1954 so possible 1954 is now considered the new standard 👍
I loved this release, but that doesn't mean I love all the pieces. This release was refreshing - the Crown reminded us that they are not predictable. Love the GMT, OP, and new Daytona's.
The GMT master yellow gold bezel looks like something a committee would come up with. Some wanted the black bezel to return and other wanted the two color bezel to be a GMT design exclusive. They all compromised a little and came up with a muddied bezel (black and grey) that will look black in poor lighting.

Great release video Marco and Adrian. I love the green and blue dial on the sky dwellers. The Daytona line with the 116500 LN should have just been discontinued, and no other models made because no-one can see the open movement when wearing it. The gold GMT looks great. The rest is a little lackluster. Lots of love from Australia. Abs.
It’s a risk to buy the puzzle piece but you might get lucky with it. I don’t think it will ever blow up blow up because it does not have any mass appeal but it might be a pretty good return eventually. Titanium is softer than stainless steel including 904L. Now, raw titanium in contact with ambient air forms a titanium oxyde layer which sorts of conceals light scratches and hairlines… to the point that some people says titanium heals itself…
In my opinion the steel Daytona always looked a little off in regards to the proportions of the ceramic bezel. I’ve been commenting for years that they needed to slim the bezel down!! Great job Rolex. Perfect nod to the old inserts from the 6263 ❤ and dial.
I love the new OP bubbles. Already placed an order with my AD. Hope I can get it. Bought a Batman and Date Just 2 from them already in the last two years.

I really don't care for the new OP with balls on it, I personally think that Rolex could have done better with a playful dial. The Milgauss and the Cellini should go up in value now that they appear to have been discontinued. The new Platinum Daytona is going to be a hit and the 1908 should be a good seller, I think it's trying to compete directly with Patek. It's about time Rolex is making a couple of sapphire case back models, but they could at the very least try to decorate the movement.😊😊

Was discussed briefly, definitely atypical for Rolex and not something you'd expect which I like. However, overall I don't necessarily love the watch considering its price. A lot better options out there in my opinion 😁👍
Rolex have gotten high on their own hype. They’ve lost the plot entirely in my opinion. They are trying very hard to mainstream the idea that’s been prevalent among hardcore watch enthusiasts for a while, namely, that they are a brand for chavs and wankers. This is coming from someone that loves Rolex.
@@MarcoFerranteWatches Don’t get me wrong, I think they will sell very well, but I think this kind of design language, along with further expanding their lineup, and basically doubling their production numbers are a long-term mistake. They underestimate the fact that half their clientele are people that are solely buying for perceived resale value/ “investment.” When those clients are gone, the recent direction will further alienate the true collectors/enthusiasts , that have already been squeezed out by long waitlists and questionable AD practices.
Ah ! If 50% of Rolex clients now buy based on perceived resell value / investment then there is a significant risk in significantly expanding production at this time… Time will tell. but sky dweller has a fluted bezel, which is always made out of PM. This very bezel happens to be the "ring command" with many uses. Are you thinking about a titanium SkyDweller with a PM bezel??? hmmm...🤔 could be very interesting look with the matte finished titanium...
Yea I think titanium Sky even with a gold bezel would really help bring the weight of the watch wayyy down and make it far more practical and comfortable to wear 😁👍
I'm not watch educated at all, I just really appreciate a nice watch, but I saw a lot of people talking about a sun burst dial or something like a lava color that they were really excited about. Not sure on which watch though. I guess that didn't happen?
Hopefully there will be some deals as people are trading their old models for the new ones! Thanks for lots of insight, hopefully I will get a Rolly soon, been on the list for a Sprite for a grip.
Daytona: I like the metal edged ceramic bezel. I don't like the boxier case - I'm sure they combined the new bezel with the old case and found it didn't match as well as the previous layout did. Hoping to judge this in the metal.
Will be tough to say what the profile is and how it wears without hands on experience. Will be honest, I thought the 116500LN was perfect and didn't really need an update but we'll see for sure 😁🙌
The emoji Day Date, OP “bubble dial” & Titanium YM will be the hottest watches every collector will want once they see them in the flesh. People complain Rolex is boring & don’t do anything new, well, here it is….
The Daytona case was built very unique for decades. Now it’s has some kind of Yachtmaster case. Honestly, I am very shocked about this big changes on the steel Daytona
The side of the case looks boxier on their website. I don't like it either. My guess is Rolex checked many combinations and the metal edged ceramic bezel matched better with the new case.
Why is Rolex pricing Titanium watches more expensive than Stainless Steel watches? Specifically, why is the new Yachtmaster 42 in Titanium, more expensive than a Stainless Steel Submariner Date?
@@MarcoFerranteWatches that’s a good answer, but they already did the R&D on the DeapSea Challenge. And let’s not forget the yachtmaster has always cost more than the submariner date. I predict the real reason the titanium yachtmaster is more expensive than the SS version is because Rolex will be increasing the prices of new models to reflect the secondary market prices as new models come out instead of dramatically increasing the prices of existing models. This will cut out many grey market dealers and flippers and make more watches available at the AD’s while increasing their profits.
Assuming these are identical watches or are extremely close with regards to design, I would say that cutting titanium is a bit more time consuming than stainless steel which adds to the machining and finishing costs. But not only that, titanium has a high tech perceived value vs stainless steel which in all its guises remains a more pedestrian watch material. With titanium I believe that Rolex grabs a margins opportunity. If my memory serves me right, during the past and similarly to Patek Philippe, Rolex declared that they would reduce the production of stainless steel models in favour of more precious metals… With the titanium I believe Rolex will create a new segment which will be a bridge between stainless steel and precious metals. I believe that the margins will be higher on titanium than stainless steel whilst the highest will of course remain with precious metals… It’s all about more revenues per piece !
I don't know what to think about the titanium Yacht-Master, it kind of breaks with the idea of it being the more elegant submariner (hence the rounded case on all the other models). If they had used the case of the Yacht-Masters 40/42 it would fit better into the lineup. I think they should use titanium to make a heavy watch lighter or to make a very light sporty watch (kind of understated but perfect for doing sports). And I am very excited about the complications we will see in the 1908 line (a perpetual calender would be nice).
I was expecting Ben Ainslie’s Yachtmaster with dark anthracite colour, no date, corduroy strap, etc… for an understated watch genuinely perfect for sports. Now, we have something brighter, date complication, metal bracelet… I am disappointed even though the use of titanium is encouraging.
I loved the release i love the emoji day date the rose gold skydweller is the one for me great episode guys cant wait to see some come through the office
I hope the Explorer 40 gets lost because that’s the one I want. You talk about how no one wants it, but they’ll need to pay a premium to get it…. So which is it? Is it so unpopular they’ll be available at AD’s, or so popular that you’ll pay a premium?
I would say the Ben Ainslie Yachtmaster prototype yes as it is inconspicuous but the one which was just released is much more noticeable, much less discreet than the Omega Seamaster NTTD…
I give Rolex an A+. The new 1908 line, the new YM2 in Titanium, The colorful OP, the wacky Day Date, and Saphire sandwich Daytona! Are you kidding me? An epic year for Rolex imo.
They’ll definitely rerelease the Milgauss!! Remember in 3 years it’ll be the 70 year anniversary of the Milgauss.. the original has a rotatable bezel ! They’ll release it in 3 years mark my words
Tough to say honestly.. these will no doubt be crazy as are a lot of the now discontinued models. Where they will be is frankly impossible to accurately assess 👍
Also yes I’m surprised they didn’t keep the RG rhodium dial ! Also the Coke didn’t come out 😭 The king green SD is amazing The RG Aqua blue is 🔥 The Titanium YM is cool if it weighs more then 100grams 😂
I'd love to hear your thoughts on how Rolex's recently announced plan to capture some second-hand marketshare for themselves (via the their AD certified resale program) may have impacted this line up. For example, are we seeing a limited number of new Daytona's because Rolex knows that they can leverage that scarcity into demand for used inventory at the AD?
Can't resell watches unless they are at least 3 years old through CPO program and their watches are highly overpriced. Don't see them being very competitive with Grey Market for these reasons 🤷♂️
CPO: Thus far it seems Rolex is more into function than form as not that accurate wrt to 100% originality compliance although it is very important to genuine collectors.
Let’s be real Rolex is releases have always been quite underwhelming and nothing really to get excited about but at the end of the day we all still want one

Sub’s anniversary is really next year I think. If Rolex is willing to admit it publicly, then Sub will be part of 2024 releases.
Yea it seems now the official date of the Submariner will be 1954 if they don't release any anniversary piece for the Submariner this year 😁👍
Daytona: I like the metal edged ceramic bezel.
I do like these releases specifically because they are unexpected 😁🙌
The Daytona case was built very unique for decades. Now it’s has some kind of Yachtmaster case. Honestly, I am very shocked about this big changes on the steel Daytona
The side of the case looks boxier on their website. I don't like it either. My guess is Rolex checked many combinations and the metal edged ceramic bezel matched better with the new case.
It definitely is pretty shocking for sure 🤯💯
My Favorite watch dealers Bought my second Rolex from them last week .Great company with great people I. Highly recommend them
Really appreciate your support! Thank you so much 😁🙏
I would’ve loved to see Peter in this..he’s THE Rolex guy and his knowledge is impeccable🙌🏻
I hope they react to the vacherons releases especially Marco cause that tradionnelle is a beauty
Definitely will be! Patek coming out today and the rest will be on Thursday after Grey Market on Wednesday 😁🙌
I think the Milgaus will come back in technical materials like ceramic and carbon.
I hope so. The only Rolex I really like
That would be pretty avant-garde for Rolex so I doubt this happens but would be AMAZING if it actually does 😁🙌
Why not titanium and matt black ceramic dial ?
Why is Rolex pricing Titanium watches more expensive than Stainless Steel watches? Specifically, why is the new Yachtmaster 42 in Titanium, more expensive than a Stainless Steel Submariner Date?
They do a titanium alloy which required R&D costs to make I'm sure. That cost is typically passed onto the consumer 👍
Check out the Rolex Cellini Prince that had an open case back
Technically not a full caseback hence why it doesn't count in the same way the new platinum daytona does 😜👍
Ti Yachtmaster is really dope. Scratching should be interesting though.
Yea that's very fair.. will be interesting to see how the model holds up 😁👍
Marco is a very impressive young man. He clearly knows his stuff and is a serious watch expert.
Really appreciate the kind words! 😁🙏
Steel black skyd was not discontinued.
Yes you are correct, seems the report I was looking at was incorrect 😁👍
I don't know what to think about the titanium Yacht-Master, it kind of breaks with the idea of it being the more elegant submariner (hence the rounded case on all the other models). If they had used the case of the Yacht-Masters 40/42 it would fit better into the lineup. I think they should use titanium to make a heavy watch lighter or to make a very light sporty watch (kind of understated but perfect for doing sports). And I am very excited about the complications we will see in the 1908 line (a perpetual calender would be nice).
Fair enough! Would love to see a Perpetual Calendar 1908 .. would be very brave and bold for Rolex so I'm with it 😁🙌
I was expecting Ben Ainslie’s Yachtmaster with dark anthracite colour, no date, corduroy strap, etc… for an understated watch genuinely perfect for sports. Now, we have something brighter, date complication, metal bracelet… I am disappointed even though the use of titanium is encouraging.
The prince had an exhibition case-back!! Love the content 🫡
True although it was not a full caseback is more so the point. Thanks for your support 😁🙌
Would it be smart to hold on to a Milgauss as a collectable watch now?
@@NEROROYAL I guess I’ll put it away for a while.
Tough to say.. they made it for over a decade so not like there is a shortage of supply 👍
Adrian is wearing one of my grail watches but I will never be able to afford it 😢😢😢
Ceramic Perpetual Openworked 🤯👑🔥
Just sell the house and the car then you should be able to have it 😉
Glide lock on oyster flex is a must. Otherwise too hard to carry too many “sizes” of the precut straps. (I know Rolex calls them osterflex bracelet)
The titanium Yachtmaster IS the Sub update
i assume they might have2nd round release on April fool's day
Lol nice 👍
I loved the release i love the emoji day date the rose gold skydweller is the one for me great episode guys cant wait to see some come through the office
Thanks so much for the kind words and your support 😁🙌
@Marco Ferrante You're the man Marco love the channel man what is your opinion on the Joker watches?
I hope the Explorer 40 gets lost because that’s the one I want. You talk about how no one wants it, but they’ll need to pay a premium to get it…. So which is it? Is it so unpopular they’ll be available at AD’s, or so popular that you’ll pay a premium?
It's a brand new release. Initially there will no doubt be a premium just due to limited supply. But over time this will ease up for sure 👍
Titanium Yachtmaster feels like the watch James Bond would wear if he still wore Rolex.
Actually completely agree with you on this! 😁👍
I would say the Ben Ainslie Yachtmaster prototype yes as it is inconspicuous but the one which was just released is much more noticeable, much less discreet than the Omega Seamaster NTTD…
I would like a titanium explorer ii 😎
Would actually be sick 😁🙌
Black dial is still around on steel and two tone as is rhodium on rose... Not sure what's going on here
Yes, seems report I was looking at was incorrect on Skydweller discontinuatioms 👍
I give Rolex an A+. The new 1908 line, the new YM2 in Titanium, The colorful OP, the wacky Day Date, and Saphire sandwich Daytona! Are you kidding me? An epic year for Rolex imo.
Totally fair.. a lot of great releases for sure 😁👍
They’ll definitely rerelease the Milgauss!! Remember in 3 years it’ll be the 70 year anniversary of the Milgauss.. the original has a rotatable bezel ! They’ll release it in 3 years mark my words
Fair enough.. would be great to see this 😁🙌
Make a video about price predictions on the new watches
Tough to say honestly.. these will no doubt be crazy as are a lot of the now discontinued models. Where they will be is frankly impossible to accurately assess 👍
Love these vids! Once again Adrian and Marco killing the collab. Love from AZ
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed this 😁🙌
Also yes I’m surprised they didn’t keep the RG rhodium dial !
Also the Coke didn’t come out 😭
The king green SD is amazing
The RG Aqua blue is 🔥
The Titanium YM is cool if it weighs more then 100grams 😂
Seems the Yachtmaster is 100g. Why should it be heavier ?! I’d rather it be 50g…
That love daydate is gonna go for some money people are sleeping on it but when are they ever gonna do that again
Fair enough.. always felt the Daydate was a bit undervalued so I do tend to agree for sure 💯🔥
Happy late birthday Marco but I think today is a sad day for all of us who don’t have a meteorite dial 🫡
Thank you! Meteorite dial discontinuation is definitely sad but still there are great deals to be had in the old dial with the full meteorite dial 😁🙌
I love the celebration and jigsaw
Happy birthday To the boy genius Marco!
Haha thanks so much I appteciate it 😁🙏
I'd love to hear your thoughts on how Rolex's recently announced plan to capture some second-hand marketshare for themselves (via the their AD certified resale program) may have impacted this line up.
For sure agree! But do you see their attempt to enter the second hand space influencing their catalogue of new releases?
CPO: Thus far it seems Rolex is more into function than form as not that accurate wrt to 100% originality compliance although it is very important to genuine collectors.
I think the new OP is sick! And I can’t wait till it’s on the gray market so I can pick one up.
Awesome! 😁🙌
No GMT Coke. Thank goodness as I have a 16710 Coke from 2000 and ❤️ it.
Beautiful piece! Enjoy in good health 😁🙌
Let’s be real Rolex is releases have always been quite underwhelming and nothing really to get excited about but at the end of the day we all still want one
That's definitely true 👍
How are there already superclones of these new releases? Makes you wonder
