WAS...until folks like Jay-Z took an interest in it. Now its one of those, "Oh, you don't have a Jaeger?" types of watches they less than quietly flex.
Stealth wealth isn't about the hyped brands and models. Especially in all gold. Stealth wealth is moser, parmigiani, Breguet classique, laurent Ferrier, moritz grossman, Romain G., Roger Smith and so many others....
Credor Eichi II: "Credor? What brand is that? Never heard of..." will be most common answer. Add a "plain" look, and there's a greatly understated watch that most people won´t take a second look... It has a platinum case, hand painted white porcelain dial, and a beautiful back view of the highly accurate top of the line seiko/credor movement, at a price of + 50k$
Going way out of bounds here, but I think the Swatch Tresor Magique deserves an honorable mention... looks like it's a $15 swatch watch, but has a mechanical movement and a solid platinum case.
The word ‘Flex’ is horrific, it actually makes me feel nauseous. You are ‘showing off’ for your own ego, nothing more, nothing less. Nobody outside your head gives a $hit. The people who do, aren’t worth bothering with. People with real money are usually embarrassed to show it. Real wealth isn’t material. It’s your life experience and relationship with others. You can’t take it with you. I like Roman and Adrian for who they are, I couldn’t care less what’s on their wrists.
There’s levels to it. I wear a $3K Seiko MM300 I know that’s not an outrageous amount. But, it’s definitely a “if you know you know” piece. There’s always levels
I just bought a 2K Monta. I’m not a watch guy, so it’s more than I would normally spend. Having said that, I love it. High quality, looks amazing. No regrets. Low key, yet announces itself in a classy way.
The Glashütte Model has a porcelain dial from Meissn (Meißen) wich is one of the best porcelain manufacturers. You can recognise them by the blue logo at 6 o'clock
For me the following are the stealth wealth…A) Patek ref 5033 [minute repeater, annual calendar made in titanium case] B) Rolex split seconds chronograph ref 4113/stainless steel. C) AP royal oak ref 6009BC white gold with khanjar signed dial. Though there are many, even a lifetime isn’t enough…thats what watches are all about!!❤ its good to come up with topics like this…those who know will only know….🎉…keep on bringing up stealth wealth topics quite often..Thank you😊
12:20 this is co-branded with the Meissen swords. Meissen is a prestigious and very traditional porcelain manufacturer from Germany. You need to be familiar to this kind of things. This is definitely a "if you know you know" kind of watch.
One of my best friends is from the Main Line area outside Philly. Old money central. His mom is a DuPont. If you met him, you’d never know that’s where he came from. Just a regular dude.
Adrian, sometime ago you mentioned your favourite ladies watch, it was white, I can’t remember if it was an AP, or a Patek, I’ve looked through a lot of old posts and can’t find it, would you tell me what it was please, many thanks in advance….
Ultimate true stealth wealth watches with a strictly IFYKYK sensibility = independents such as George Daniels, Roger Smith, Philippe Dufour, Rexhep Rexhepi, etc. Basically any AP (particularly Royal Oak), Patek (particularly Nautilus), or Rolex (particularly Daytona) isn't remotely stealthy - it's a pure flex attempt (which is fine, but it is what it is).
So you had a Glashütte Senator with a Meissen porcelain dial - nice, now pronounce after me: khuy, khuynia, glass-khuynia and now glass-khutte: Glasshütte!
To your point, a yellow gold daydate is not a discreet flex (regardless of year, dial etc), it is still a daydate. Stealth wealth is wearing a Phillipe Dufour duality platinum. Not a royal oak or a daydate.
"Stealth Wealth" I really love that!! And just to let you know Roman, I moved the rock and crawled out from under it years ago😊 All were absolutely great watches, but the three that stole the show for me were the AP Royal Oak, Patek 5074r and the Urwerk. Great episode, keep them coming😊❤
The only wealth is through the lord , not your watches not you cars not with that woman that is with you for your money , love through god is the only wealth , god bless guys , when you know you know
Awesome video Roman and Adrian. Loved all the watches on the table. I think a 5270/1R is a steath weath watch. Keep up the great content. Lots of love from Australia. Abs
Best thing on Reddit has been going around that Nomos is for голубых which explains why Adrian didn’t know about it. We all know that a 36mm TT Rolex DJ or DD is the OG of good looking and Classy AF
I love meteorite dials and have a few in my collection but boy can they vary. I have seen Rolex's with absolutely horrible looking dials and I have seen budget brands with beautiful meteorite dials. Meteorite dials are something you really need to see in person before you buy them.
Daniels, Voutilainen, Minhoon Yoo, Dufour, Smith, I would class as the ultimate in stealth wealth. Rolex and Patek are fine. In this video, im not seeing stealth wealth. Im seeing well known watch models by very popular brands. Most people dont know what a Dufour is. Thats what makes it stealth wealth. A rare day date is still a day date. Its recognisable. Other than the anti magnetic patek, the others are very high profile watch models. Starwheel is weird and rare so gets a mention.
G-Shock MRG-B5000B-1... ok im not one to afford 20k+ watches but I have a nice collection in the under 10 range but my one stealth wealth one i wear a lot is my Mr-G Titanium square. Its 4k and looks like a $60 regular G-Shock square LOL
I’m not sure if this makes any difference but do watch dealers talk crap about each other? Not publicly but we’re all human so is alcoholism drugs and not paying in a timely manner a big concern?
@roman the Glashutte Original with the Meissen porcelain dial 🔥… you can tell the age of Meissen by the design of their crossed sword logo… Meissen since 1710 and GO are an amazing partnership of ultra high quality elegant luxury.
Universal geneves older watches, simple, even inside the bubble not so recognized, in a really affordable range and only you or some geeks know whats on your wrist without braking the bank😉
I was in agreement until you mention platinum daytona... i mean come on... cant argue with the porcelain daytona tho, only the very very rich one going to wear it
I don't think gold ( except white gold ) fits in the category of 'quite' luxury. Because yellow, rose, pink, or red golds are very 'in your face' type of precious metal .
People from old money don't ever worry about having to "flex", unlike most of the aspirational strivers who produce and watch these videos. Just wear what you like, FFS.
Patek Philippe , certainly not the most conservative. Look at their latest colorful Calatrava or rainbow Aquanaut : they follow trends and have to . The most conservative is actually Rolex for delivering and dictating what's next . Also , on the same caliber as PP , Vacheron Constantin is the one worn by powerful and conservative people . Only brand to offer you the possibility to make bespoke watch when people are chasing " limited production " Patek . These people want to blend in and exist through a group by owning a watch among others whilst people doing unique piece from VC dont need to comparz themselves to others because they are above all of that
They both started out with their own companies. Then they joined forces. They’re much better together and when it comes to business there is no shadow there’s just the bottom line profits. That’s it. Grow up.
@@Smood47 he and Roman have investors that have large chunks of the company from what I understand. But he is also a part owner. Roman is just more outspoken and Adrian does like to kind of be in the background
Parmigiani fleurier , H Moser , Many JLC models , FP Jorne
Vacheron constantin
JLC is the epitome of stealth wealth / quiet luxury
WAS...until folks like Jay-Z took an interest in it. Now its one of those, "Oh, you don't have a Jaeger?" types of watches they less than quietly flex.
Breguet is maybe in my opinion the best quiet luxury watch brand
Stealth wealth isn't about the hyped brands and models. Especially in all gold. Stealth wealth is moser, parmigiani, Breguet classique, laurent Ferrier, moritz grossman, Romain G., Roger Smith and so many others....
These guys are si funny. And this is not a compliment.
bit difficult to get a Roger Smith these days

No example from VC when talking about stealth wealth… hmmm
Roman is the opposite of stealth wealth. He's teenager on Rodeo Drive hypebeast flex wealth.
Great discussion and so glad you don't have Bobby Hill there interrupting every 15 seconds
Right….
Going way out of bounds here, but I think the Swatch Tresor Magique deserves an honorable mention... looks like it's a $15 swatch watch, but has a mechanical movement and a solid platinum case.
There is a big difference between wealth and class.

You can pay for school but you can’t buy class
Absolutely
Best stealth watch ever must be a Seiko Superior Quartz 1978. HAQ 5 sec a year.
You guys need a Lange 1815 Chrono in this series… Good vid though!
That's my holy grail watch

Very enjoyable to see & lots of great points.
I’m not convinced a white gold Daytona is so stealth when the SS version is almost as expensive 😊
Adrian, sometime ago you mentioned your favourite ladies watch, it was white, I can’t remember if it was an AP, or a Patek, I’ve looked through a lot of old posts and can’t find it, would you tell me what it was please, many thanks in advance….
Vacheron Constantine I consider a low key flex, maybe that's why they're so underrated nowadays

Can yellow gold and rose gold watches particularly rolex ever be a stealth quiet luxury watch? No chance.
To your point, a yellow gold daydate is not a discreet flex (regardless of year, dial etc), it is still a daydate. Stealth wealth is wearing a Phillipe Dufour duality platinum. Not a royal oak or a daydate.

A good stealth watch is the white gold 42mm Yachtmaster on its rubber strap. Only you will know you are wearing 30k on your wrist.

Yeah but stealth is boring. Bling (yellow gold) is fun every now and then. 😁
