This has been an difficult road to recovery, but thankfully my burns were not 3rd degree. Although it has put a stall on recording videos, I am glad to get back to producing content to help Inform, Motivate, and Inspire you to get up, move, and live a healthier life!

If no allergies, I've heard from plastic surgeon office that regular vaseline works great fading scars IF no open wound visible. Must be healed well beforehand. I called a plastic surgeron office about scar cream. Way expensive. Kind lady working there whispered on phone use vaseline nonstop. Hoping it works..too early to try it..waiting for burns to heal

Thanks so much for this and I'm so glad you recovered. I'm going through the same thing with 2nd-degree burns but on my leg (food accident too) so this is so helpful. I had to have all the dead skin scrubbed out the burns last night, which was one of the most painful things I've ever felt and definitely worse than the initial accident. It happened 5 days ago now but I only went for help last night (stupidly thought they would heal on their own). Anyway, thank you for sharing your experience!

Wow, I just thank God it didn't get my whole face or ever my eyes. This is a lesson learned. I am going through my healing now and going to use 6 weeks to get myself better. I am just thankful. @chelleywest  3 роки тому +1

Kris! I’m so sorry to hear this and also this is pretty common from nutri bullets! My first advice, go get a normal blender. I don’t use a nutribullet anymore. 2. Give yourself the time to heal. Don’t pick and be diligent on using your ointment 3. If you treating your body well, drinking water, eating good food, once your cleared to workout go move, then your body will heal faster. Take it easy and rest! Sending you so much love and healing vibes. You got this 💕💕

I was burned in a grease fire this past Christmas Eve. I suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 20% of my body. I had surgery on 12/28/20. They had to wait to see how far the oil burned down into my skin too see what surgery I needed.

The stupid things we do that we can look back on and go.. “what was I thinking?” I’m there now. Needless to say I thought setting my very hot just off the stove soup down before I sat down was a good idea. Well it was except I sat it to close and when I sat down my soup flipped and my whole right side of my butt and hip are burned. Thank you for sharing your story and I pray for your continued health. 2nd degree burns are the most painful because the damage is deeper in the dermis and all of the nerves in the affected area are intact. The process you described by the burn specialist is called “scrubbing the burn” and is standard procedure when treating 2nd degree burns. It helps the healing process and reduces infection by removing the burned skin and the fluid in to blister. IT IS EXTREMELY PAINFUL! Always take the pain meds as prescribed prior to having it performed. Great video!

@Way2Success I had 2nd-degree burns on my fingers. For me, it was a total of 6 to 7 months. It took me 2 months for the skin to heal enough for me to not have the bandages (I was getting my bandages changed at least once a week at the hospital). It took me another 2 to 3 months for the skin sensitively to be significantly reduced (I was using the A + D cream that’s used for healing tattoos). And about 1 to 2 months for me to significantly improve the mobility in my fingers and keep the scare tissue from hardening ( I had occupational therapy and I doing the hand exercises at home). Not all of the pigment has returned to the burned areas on my fingers (it looks like I have Vitiligo on my hand) and I still have some sensitivity. I hope that helped.

May god bless you and compensate you for the pain you’ve been through. My 3 year old pulled boiling hot tea off the kitchen counter ended up with second degree burn, while nanny was in the bathroom. We rushed him to the ER. The burn was over half of his face half of his chest all the way down to his tummy. We’ve been instructed to apply cream 3-4 times a day over his face while washing using special water for burned skin for the entire 10 days with no shower. His chest was in bandage for 10 days while his face was exposed and we would apply the cream on it. It’s been 16 days now. his face is healing except there’s a red spot still. Whereas all of his chest has turned into white different skin. He’s not allowed to go into the sun for 6 months. for now we gotta apply sun screen over his face and chest if needed to go out. I’m so sorry you had to go through this and I’m so sorry that my son an anyone who had to go through such pain and trauma… may god bless you all and give you strength and love that make you live safe moments with no flashback at all.

I took time off and just took care of it for two months - cleaning it with fisio water and steril bandage every day with max care and gentleness and constantly wearing a thick layer of a cream that the dermatologist prescribed to prevent infections ( night and day until the skin reformed around 14 days!), but WARNING(!) this cream contains silver in it and it reacts to sunlight by oxidating and it becomes black/ gray(!!!) wich can permanently pigment your skin- MANY DOCTORS DO NOT RACOMMEND THIS CREAM ON THE FACE! You got to keep it away from sun lite to keep it white/non oxidated and apply it fresh every 12 hours after cleaning the wound with physiologic water from the farmacy! I didn't even go out or close to windows for 14 days and avoid going out in the sun almost two months after just to avoid the pigmentation of the scar wich i kept always moisturised with Cica bio cream once the skin reformed. The skin underneath needed 10 days to start reforming and it was continuing forming for almost two months. It's essential not to hurt or scratch this delicate skin, no sun light exposure and not to pigment it anyhow. After it healed and the wound closed compleetly (a month/ month and a half after) I always wore a heavy layer of zink sunblock on the scar- for 6 months and every time I use to go to prolonged sun exposure too- I still do. For the rest of the time I kept the scar always moisturised with a Cica bio cream.
I can say I healed almost perfectly. It almost reached the same skin tone as the healthy skin around the scar - no one but me notes the slite difference in colour. Just take it seriously and You'll be fine. Good luck.🤞

      Hey Samar,
I’m sorry about you accident and i hope you heal quickly, but i have the same answer for you as i answered in all the other comments, you have to be patient. You’re wound will heal but it’s going to take time. I still have scars and it’s been over a year since my accident.
What i like to always think is, thank k god it wasn’t worst. My burn was so close to my eye that if it maybe went in my eye i would be blind. I knew everything was going to be ok with time so i took the time to heal.
I hope this helps. Sending you all my love 💕

      Hi Bernadette,
It took me about 4 months to heal from the pain of my burns. It took over a year for my skin to go back to its normal color. Tho i still have scars 💕

God that's terrible. I'm glad to know you're healing.
One should never put anything hot into a blender. You should always let it cool down and release all the water vapor/steam. Or just use those immersion hand blender.
That trapped steam inside the close blender increases the pressure and that causes the blast

Burned my face right next to my lip making candied strawberries last Monday. The burned skin, scabbed and fell off and now I’m left with this pink patch, that is very noticeable. I’m going out of town in a few days and am super insecure. Might try out Bactine scar defense. Have you tried it and did it work for you?

Hey Jaclyn, I’m so sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you heal quickly. I have never tried “Bactine scar defense” but i also never had anything to really go do. I was basically quarantining myself when i had to heal. But hope it works for you if you decide to give it a try. Good luck and all the best to you 💕

I burned my leg the day after Thanksgiving. Coffee spill. I thought it was 3rd degree burns, I could feel my skin boiling. I thought about showering with cold water but my skin was sliding off. I'm currently covered in blisters, I have been using 1% silver sulfadiazine. I came to your channel to see what OTC I can get since my insurance ended today. 😔 thanks for sharing your story.

I am recovering from 2nd degree burns on my thighs from an instapot boiling water for pasta. I had to immediately go the ER where they instantly said I needed be transferred to the Burn Unit.
That initial burn was extremely painful. But what was worse is the debridement. They had to scrape the burned skin from my legs. They sedated me with ketamine but I came out of it a bit early and felt the worst indescribable pain of my life. I am so fortunate it did not burn my face, I can't imagine having these burns there. I have the deepest sympathy. It encourages me to see she has recovered and returned to normal life.

So glad this video helped you! You can shower but just be careful. When i showered i used in scented soap that was for sensitive skin. And i didn’t scrub; was very gentle!
It took about 2-3 months for my skin to heal back.
