You can help support my channel for free by using my affiliate code when purchasing a grounding mat or anything else with this link: bit.ly/3vHBCvM.
You know I don't endorse things often (almost never), but this one has the potential to really help people. I bought the bed sheet, a yoga mat, the desk mat, and the feet wraps. (I know- kinda went all in!) I recently went on vacation in Florida and walked miles on the beach every day. I took my feet grounding wraps with me and slept with them on every night. (So small- great for travel in my opinion.) My order was sent with a free book too!
Thanks in advance for your support to my channel and happy grounding!

Just a quick FYI on the grounding......I have a cousin who does the grounding and has found out that plugging into an outlet is not good because it is what they call "dirty electricity." Instead, he puts it out a window to a grounding rod directly into the ground. I have also just started my journey back to health. Thank you for the uplifting and encouraging thoughts. Hearing you have back issues also and see what all you do is encouraging to me, that I can be healthy and active again after two back surgeries. Muscle building, that is what I need. Thanks Brooke, and Be Blessed!

Brooke you are my biggest inspiration. I had my first and only child at 40, and i knew that would put my cabin building dreams on hold. I got FOMO and quite upset, because I didn’t want to be in my 50’s starting my dream. And then while I was pregnant, i found your channel and it blew my mind. I’m so in awe of your capabilities and it gave me so much *knowing* that I can do it too. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and being that inspiration that i, and probably many other women NEED. I’ll be 44 this summer, but because of you, my age no longer bothers me. You go girl! So happy for you! 😎🥳💕

Don't worry about going out into the woods and building something with your blessed child! My parents took the plunge when I was 10, and I was the eldest of the lot... It did us kids nothing but good! And thanks to that lifestyle, I was fully prepared to dive into the off-grid life in the woods that I am now living, in my mid-forties and a grandmother :)

When I was 51, I started digging a koi pond with a shovel. It was 2,000 gallons with a brick waterfall. I had zero experience. I wanted the pond. It took me about 8 months because I broke my arm and had to wait 8 weeks to resume. It was totally mind over matter. I had to figure out how to move huge boulders. My husband helped me using pulleys and wood. It almost didn’t happen. I had a few more injuries but, I finished and the pond was beautiful! Brooke, you are the best inspiration on UA-cam. Thank you for helping propel and give purpose to women over 50. I’m 70 now and I do what I want!

I used to build things (decks, drywall ect) I danced all my life since a child, I could do everything as a single Mom, myself. You wouldn't know it looking at me that I could do all that. I'm very petite and not muscular. I now have a brain tumor and feel like I'm defeated. Fatigued all the time and can't accomplish things like before. It's not too late for YOU though. So I’m a 76 year old guy who used to lift weights in a gym and would bicycle about 1,100 miles a year. My wife died 5 years ago and much of that exercising slowly became almost nonexistent. I’ve been resurrecting biking again and using a Bowflex at home along with some free weights.
I’ve watched you off and on with admiration I must say. Rediscovered you after being away for a while.
I’ve already signed up with my email on the Whipple newsletter.
I’ll conclude by saying I think this video is the most important one you’ve ever done.
    I thank you Dear Lady!!😘

I started watching you and your husband when you were on ALONE. I have always been impressed with what you two do and enjoy your videos.
This video is very inspiring, and I already have a grounding mat that a friend bought for me, and I do watch what I eat but apparently not enough protein. I have gotten bored with my life. I have lived a very good outdoor life and also worked for 45 years as a Paramedic and during that time I also worked off and on full time and part time for 35 years as a whitewater raft guide. I was overweight but I have lost 75 pounds since June 1, 2023, and continue to lose. I have over 27,000 miles of canoeing under my belt and this year I will get back into a canoe. I haven't been in one for almost 6 years. I have decided to get back into sports this coming summer and your video has just boosted my want to do so. Thank you so much! It is what this 71-year-old needed to jumpstart his summer.

Not on any meds, still to this day.
So many seniors suffer from sarcopenia because since the 80's we have been told to eat low fat, no red meat and so on.
People need to research how that all came about!!!!

I hear ya!! I sometimes feel like I’m losing a step here and there!! I try to stay strong and lifting and moving patients does help. I’m not a very big person…probably 5’5” or so and around 120 and will be 65 in April. My patients look at me like, yea right, you’re going to move me. But I truly feel like moving them helps me stay strong. The cold stuff, it’s a challenge for me, I don’t like being cold. I could try it and see. I need to work on my core. You’re an inspiration and I love your videos!! ❤from NC

These comments are so inspiring!! I had to jump on here! I appreciate the sharing of vulnerable times in everyone's life. I have been on a healing journey for the past 15 years for PTSD. I'm a childhood abuse Survivor and later a Survivor of domestic violence these had their own set of challenges for healing and then Lyme entered my life. I've been learning all I can about various healing modalities and grounding is one of them! I hope to get in the swing of exercising soon. I'm healing from a Hysterectomy and have about 4 more weeks until I can really start moving and grooving. Thank you for the inspiration!

Good for you, Brooke! Stay the course and you will manage. Getting old is not something fun to face, but I do what I can without injuring my body. Taking it slow and being careful is important. We're not machines, so the body takes longer to heal.

I'm 82 years old and have since my youth had a strong focus on complete fittness. I consequently have long followed healthy eating, with emphasis on a "Macrobiotic" approach. I still workout with iso-metric exercises everyday but Sunday, and have my own weight equipment that I do weight work two or three times a week. In addition I ride my bicycle two or more often three times a week varying rides between as few as 5 or 6 miles,to as much as I 2 to 15 miles . I have blood panels done semi-annualy and my doctor says I'm the first patient he's had in 35 years of practice that he believes will live to one hundred years. Of course I pray he's right because I Love life! AND hunting and fishing has filled the space I have now that I'm retired from my work life. I have three sons 50,47 & 44 years, and thier wives and grandchildren to enjoy life with.
You'll never regret your focus on health and fittness ,body & soul. All the best to you !

Hi Brooke, as far as fruit goes they can vary hugely on the 'glycaemic load' index. Berries are 'low glycaemic load' but full of antioxidants and phytonutrients. I think it's safe to keep them in your diet. Best of luck with your projects. ❤

I am now 59 and back to where I was. This spring I plan on joining the gym again and Lord willing, get back to where I was before. I find I don’t have the motivation to work out at home on my own. In listening, you mentioned joint pain. About ten years ago, I did a Food Sensitivity test through a LEAP Program. My joint pain which was extreme was due to excessive eating of tomatoes in my daily diet. They come from the nightshade family which is high in alkaloids. These deposit in the joints causing inflammation like arthritis. I've since eliminated tomatoes from my diet and am joint pain free. I, too do some wood cutting.

This video is so inspiring... I'm a 45 year old woman and just purchased a lovely plot of land in Vermont that I hope to build on with resources from the land. Seeing your fitness tips and suggestions really has me excited about upping my fitness game so I can do this. I consider myself pretty fit, but as I get older, I don't want this to wane. I downloaded the 2 audiobooks you suggested and so far, they are really helpful. Dr Lyon's protocol is totally approachable and makes a lot of sense. Thanks so much for the recommendations and for everything that you do. Keep doing what you are doing!

You’re definitely on the right track. I used to be super healthy (about 40 yo now), then got married 5 years ago and let myself go. Then due to health reasons I had to change my lifestyle back to where I was before marriage, but actually much more knowledgeable now than I was before.
A lot of the things you pointed out about sugars, carbs and proteins are all things I have been learning… And for me, it’s especially challenging because I follow a plant based lifestyle and workout 2 hours a day, 6 days a week.
I’m not sure if you’re familiar with parasite cleanses, however, if you’re not, I’d highly recommend doing them.
You also mentioned you have tendinitis, as did I in my left elbow. I was also dealing with carpal tunnel in my left hand… I’ve been able to treat both with zero pain now using castor oil…. I’ve been learning A LOT about castor oil and its uses these paste few months and it’s remarkable what you can do with it.
You’re truly an inspiration and I am blessed I stumbled across your channel. Peace and blessings be upon you!

    You are amazing and inspiring.
I find that the biggest problem is the bio engineered foods (Gmos) bleached flour, sugar, (mostly high futose corn syrup). I eliminate all but some sugar, and my blood work is perfect at 65. I also eliminated fast foods, table salt, and sodas at least 20 years ago.
I use grass fed butters and olive oil, as well as sea, Himalayan, and red salts, only, never table salt.
Very wise, eliminating processed foods and using good fats is important for better health. Love love love bison! My favorite meat! Everything you are doing is wonderful. Gounding and proper breathing is amazing!
    Big hugs! 💖

Thank you for saying you're not too old, I taught myself (I'm in my late 60's) how to freestyle, I was tired of not knowing how. I knew swimming is an all body workout and I have problems lifting weights, water is the best for me. I have set goals to go a little longer and I have hopes this year to make it an hour in the pool with more laps.
I learned in PT about stretching because of my sciatic nerve and other issues, stretching is amazing. I believe my eating is the next thing to tackle and it is the hardest for me. I'm still working on conquering that mountain. Thanks for your pep talk and showing us your new normal.
