I've watched all your previous videos and the two things that I can relate to the most with you are the struggles with anxiety and the believing I am actually pregnant. I am 7 weeks pregnant after 12 years of infertility, having started IVF last fall, I went through 2 retrievals, a failed mosaic FET transfer in Feb and then 2 more retrievals in the spring, I get it now. It is so surreal, I can't wrap my mind around it. Even after taking a pregnancy test every day for a week after my two blooddraws, it's still hard to believe. I had a scare at 6 weeks, but come to find out it was probably just the vaginal progesterone irritating my cervix, but I had had zero bleeding up until that instance. We were fortunate to have a 6 wk ultrasound and found out baby was okay with a heartbeat of 121 bpm! The anxiety during the waiting period and the anxiety until I heard a heartbeat is unreal. I feel like this whole process is just a series of hurdles one after another. You get through one phase with a sigh of relief just to brace yourself for another challenge ahead. I've appreciated all your insight from the tips with PIO shots, I still have another 5 weeks of those, to the food ideas and just your overall relatability! Thank you, thank you so much! And continue to be in awe by that beautiful darling miracle baby boy you have!

Oh wow thank you so so very much for writing all of this to me!!😭 You are the sweetest and I’m so glad I can be a little ray of hope for you❤️ You’ve definitely been through so much; I’m so incredibly happy for you! HUGE congratulations on your pregnancy!!🎉💗
Keep fighting all of those doubts. Try your very best to trust your body, and the process. Try your very best, when you’re ready, to enjoy your pregnancy…because it will be over before you know it and you will have missed it. I so regret my disbelief. I so regret not letting myself enjoy my pregnancy, because it was over and I feel like I missed the whole thing.
I know it’s so hard, but try your best to get excited about it, because girl..it’s happening for you!!!🎊🙌🏻
BTW, I had the same bleeding scare too at 6 weeks from the vaginal progesterone.
You got this girl! Keep taking good care of yourself and I’m so excited for you!!💕

Such a beautiful beautiful baby! I'm so happy for you and I thank God for your videos! They are so helpful. These are things the clinic don't discuss.
I'm in the middle of IVF. I'm post retrieval and pre transfer. Mentally, I'm all over the place, depressed, moody as hell, tearful, HOT all the time. I don't even know that I want to do this again if I fail. I cry all the time. I'm crying now. My husband feels helpless. All of this is on me. I feel so alone. All kinds of people poking around in my body. And being an African American woman, there's an additional fear because we are treated differently in a medical setting. The Tuskegee Experiments and things doctors did to my ancestors are beyond brutal and is why I hesitated with IVF.
Providers are more annoyed with me or any requests i may have, more huffy, less patient, less polite, less careful, less compassionate, a little less helpful. You just never know who will do the right thing on my behalf because of my skin color, stereotypes or prejudices.
With these meds and this process, it just feels like I'm being burned alive and threatened that i better not scream because of the pain.

Thanks for this video. I'm a FTM at 31 weeks via IVF and what you said about IVF being a pre-trimester resonates so much. I'm so grateful to be pregnant but it feels like I was in the thick of it for 5 months before pregnancy. I imagine it feels similarly if trying for a while without ART as well but it definitely feels like pregnancy occupies more than just 10 months.

Aww huge congratulations on your pregnancy girl!! Yeah when my friend told me that it really resonated with me too. I’m so glad we can talk about all of this because I’m finding out we all experience very similar emotions and mental battles. Thank you so much for sharing and continue to take good care of yourself!🤗💕

Thx Brittany!! I relate to this so much. I just turned 38 in June and went through 2 egg retrievals the beginning of the year. I then needed open abdominal surgery to get fibroids and a baseball sized ovarian cyst removed. My 6 month wait post op to heal is almost over so I’m looking forward to a fully medicated FET. Your PIO videos are great as my husband is similar to yours and I’ll have to do it by myself. I also have all the respect for nurses, my mom has been a bedside RN working mainly in the ER and ICU and I know you guys really go through it!

Thanks for all of you IVF videos. I relate to working in Healthcare during COVID, plus going through infertility. I also felt burnout and switched jobs, which has allowed me to pursue IVF. I am doing my second IVF cycle next month. Seeing your success is inspiring. I like that you also talk about your exercise through everything as that's also my main coping tool!

      That’s a great question lol
So we’re not doing anything to prevent pregnancy…secretly hoping I get pregnant naturally but very hard to tell what my body’s doing at the moment since I’m still pretty fresh postpartum. I haven’t got my period back yet and I’m currently breastfeeding. So not sure if I’m ovulating…
Anyways I’m planning on doing another transfer next summer and I’m assuming I’ll have to go thru the whole ordeal of the PIO injections as well.

Love your videos! I almost feel like we have the same journey. I’m an ER RN, 37 years old, we did two egg retrievals and had 8 embryos. We’ve had 2 transfers: first one failed and 2nd one was a chemical pregnancy. I have uterine fibroids (very aggressive) and have had 2 open myomectomies and 2 closed to take out the fibroids and my husband has low sperm count/ low motility. So we’re racing the clock before my fibroids grow back. I wanted to ask what protocol your Dr put you on? Thank you!

    • @brittany_elizabeth_rn
      @brittany_elizabeth_rn  Рік тому

Hi and thank you so very much!! Yeah we have lots of similarities in our journeys…and us nurses need to stick together lol 🤗🤗
But wow uterine fibroids are so tough to have and deal with, I’m so incredibly sorry you have to go through that!! And you’ve certainly been through A LOT already!!
In terms of my protocol, are you referring to my FET process?
Sending you lots of baby dust and praying you have nothing but success from here on out!🙏💕
