I have walked in your shoes, hang on it's going to be a bumpy ride! Nothing ever goes as planned. I had 2 retrievals and 4 transfers over 2 years. I had multiple miscarriages. We finally gave up because we were paying everything out of pocket. Eight months after we officially gave up, and 6 years after trying, I saw the 2 lines! None less, I saw those 2 lines on my husband's birthday, which happens to be St. Patrick's Day. We have a very lucky 🍀 miracle! We proved 5 doctors wrong and had our son without medical help. Though we spent his college education trying to have him, LOL. Good thing we have years to make it up, he was 3 in November. Best of luck!!
It's so cute how whenever Joseph speaks he looks at Tasha for confirmation and he's delicate with his words. Tasha I know you know but let me say it, You are blessed. Your family is awesome.
I am so happy for you guys!! I remember one of the first videos I watched was while on my own infertility journey. Now I am scheduled to give birth March 6th!! Good luck to you two!!
Congrats you guys! I did IVF in 2017, first round we had our beautiful baby boy! We plan on round two this summer. Sprinkling baby dust from Texas for y'all 💕
@@EileenVincett sprinkling some baby dust your way too! I found the shots to be the most difficult part. But stay connected to your clinic. They will be a big help along the way 🥰

I had to look at the time stamp because I was thinking “they already had a baby, this is old” then I realized you’re going for a 3rd!!!! Congrats!!!! I’ll be following whatever you decide to post!!!
My gyno recommended me to an infertility specialist an hour away from us. My spouse and I fell in love. There’s nothing like the bond you share with someone who is not only helping you fulfill your wishes of creating another beautiful life but someone who truly cares. We originally went to a specialist closer to us, however, we didn’t get the same treatment. I can’t wait to watch your future videos during this journey. I wish you two nothing but the best 💕
I am also starting IVF it’s is a process and supporting each other is the best way in the highs and lows!!! I have been thru IVF more then once and watching other UA-cam journeys helped me so much, I wish you the best I will be following your journey
I wish you the best in your journey! I am 35 years old and I have had 2 miscarriages in one year at age 32 and 33 and then conceived my now 20 month old son at 33 and delivered at 34. We are thinking of conceiving this year and maybe having another next year. The information you gave was informative but also scary especially the risks of miscarriage as you age. Going into a TTC is always exciting but you never know how the journey will go. Thanks for sharing and I will e following.
I definitely recommend carrier screening - it is just a simple blood test and my insurance covered it entirely. All it does is provide you more information, although admittedly I'm the type of person who wants as much information as possible. You can also just have Tasha get tested first and only if she is a carrier for something bad you can get Joseph tested. Just get the full panel (180+ genetic issues examined). Good luck with IVF!! Infertility treatment is no fun, but it is all worth it when you can hold your baby :)
I had 3 failed IUIs and then decided to do IVF. My first IVF cycle only 2 of the 3 were ready for implantation. The third wasn't. So we had him preserved. Needless to say the two that were inseminated were lost. But the 3rd one was the charm! It was a journey of highs and lows, being fearful and hopeful at the same time. Wishing you both much success. Can't wait to follow you on this journey 🤗
I'm so happy for you guys, that is so awesome your sharing your journey with everyone. I don't feel alone now or so nervous now, I'm also starting my ivf journey too, this month in on birth control and i have my apt with the specialist tomorrow to do some testing. I'm so excited to follow along with you guys. I'm praying it works out for both of us. Thank you😁!!
I LOVE how candid you guys are! You cover some very intimate topics (infertility & finances) & I know that can be very tough. But I do want to thank you for being brave enough to do so. Your videos are so helpful to so many families. Wishing you all the best on your IVF journey, I will be tuned in & sending every positive vibe your way. Much love 💗
We've both done IVF (and still no baby), but we just had conscious sedation for the egg retrieval, didn't have to get put under! Looking forward to following your (hopefully successful!) journey and talking about the financial implications. The whole process has been such a huge financial blow for us...
Ugh, I am so sorry to hear that. The plus side is that we have insurance that will cover a good bit of the costs, which helps a lot. Are you guys still trying?--Tasha
@@OneBigHappyLife The funding/ coverage situation here in Ontario is very complicated, but always interesting to hear how it works in other places. The journey is over for me, but luckily my partner is still in the process of trying. Maybe we'll do reciprocal IVF at some point...
I wish you two the best of luck! We went through 4 rounds of IVF to get our daughter. Two fresh cycles then one frozen cycle then the last fresh cycle worked! It was very stressful and very expensive (added up to around $40,000 for everything after insurance) but totally worth it.
Fingers crossed for you! I’ve had 2 IVF pregnancies. If your provider hasn’t gone over it with you yet, an AMH level above ~3.5 can signal PCOS. PCOS patients tend to have lots of eggs (higher ohss probability, but sounds like you’re doing frozen transfers), but can have lower egg quality. Talk with your physician about supplements or protocols for egg quality. Best of luck!! 🍀
kudos tasha and joseph for demystifying and destigmatizing this whole process. bodies and reproduction can be wild (and emotionally intense but physically this is all real regular stuff and shouldn't be kept hushed. love y'all!

Congratulations in advance on the decision to have a new baby!! Thank you for talking about your IVF journey. I haven't had more than a fractured bone in my lifetime, and my largest anesthesia was for dental work where I was still awake, so I'm kinda scared knowing that to have kids I'm going to have to go through a bunch of medical stuff (0% chance that it'll happen naturally). It'll be a lot easier to go through it myself when I've gone through it with you first. Thank you so so much!
I’m so excited for y’all and am hoping for the best! Infertility can be so tough! I thought I would point out that you wouldn’t expect to see a family history of the diseases they look for in carrier screening because most of them are what are called recessive conditions. It’s understandable if you decide not to pursue that type of testing but I wouldn’t weigh lack of family history too strongly in your reasoning. Hopefully they have someone like a genetic counselor to discuss the pros and cons of genetic testing with you and answer any questions you have. I’m so excited to follow your journey!!
Best of luck on this exciting journey:)) I learned a lot that I didn't know about infertility, IVF; etc.. I look forward to seeing the process via video as you guys go through this experience.

All the very best! I had 5 years of IVF before having my son and 7 miscarriages that were because of abnormal chromosomes. Hello Tasha! I just checked my AMH.... I read and was told by an acupuncturist that anything above 3 is actually pointing to PCOS. Have you heard anything about that?
High AMH is a potential symptom of PCOS but I do think it's a bit of a stretch to say that anything about 3 points to PCOS. So far none of our doctors have expressed any concerns about PCOS, most likely because I have a regular cycle and have not had trouble ovulating.--Tasha

@@OneBigHappyLife Awesome! Really excited for your journey!
I had pcos,always had a regular cycle,just didn't ovulate regularly...fyi..😊
Sonja Matthews did you have any other symptoms? Did you figure out a way to heal it?
