@@Max-el7zd And Larry Lalonde. So the 2 core members of the band. They rotate drummers all the time between Tim Alexander, Brain, and Jay Lane, but Les and Larry are the constants in Primus.
@@smward87 I think a lot of this has to do with how do you recreate either of their playing? Both Les and Ler, especially Larry's specific kind of playing to Les's "lead bass." It simply cannot be recreated. That's why no one ever covers primus songs live. Leave it to the legend
Mark is a true rock god I grew up with him BLIND L. was the Baddest Band in The bay Area ,Contra Costa County Dam everywhere. What a cast of great musicians do you hear this !!!!!!!!!!
Very early in my film artistry production but even still the effects are due to the difference in meter.syncing the live to the studio.....difficult but come the belly dancer!!!!Superb.I say only 37 % correct on your judgement.Feel free to make a video for us!!!!1with love and a displeased respect...lolgfys The Biedermann
I still have great appreciation for the music created on their great lp, "The Sane... "And the children singing on the last song, Metamorphosis of a monster still sound somewhat haunting?! : ) Thanx for this, Mr. Biedermann. A friend from Norway.
These guys rock....so weird hearing Larry doing this stuff but shows his amazing versatility and talent
He was in the thrash/death metal band Possessed prior to this! Even heavier stuff!
I was there when he got repossessed into blind illusion. LOL
You might not know this but Ler is The Godfather Of Death Metal.
Did you know Larry was in a much heavier band than this? Before Primus, he was in POSSESSED
I never realized Primus started off in prog thrash metal. This is blowing my mind!
Yea mean Les Claypool right...?

On Bass This is Adam Gates in the film but Les on the recording!
Thanks for that clarification. I was thinking "But, that's not Les"
One of the best albums and line-ups of it's time! I made a great Blind Illusion T Shirt back in the day - wish I had it now ....
Never knew les Claypool was in this band...makes since...so much Rush influence
Playing a Rickenback with a pick by the looks of it
@@FerencHonkoop That is actually Adam Gates in the video Les's understudy.Les is on the recording and never plays with a pick.
@@markbiedermann7467 Ah yes I overlooked that in the beginning of the film, thanks for pointing it out.

Good job, Mark! Love The Sane Asylum til the day! Had a blast seeing you perform live at Headbangers Open Air 2017! Cheers and take care!

Great to hear from you!
This blows my mind thank you so much
Excellent. Thanks for putting this up
Great choice for Les to start Primus, his bass sound needed that forefront sound to shine.
Larry Lalonde as in this band AND The Possessed, hard to believe when all you are familiar with is him in Primus.
Wild af. Great find. Thanks for posting
This is badass!!!!
Lar is like give me a board or a guitar because I'm about to shred right now
I wonder if Chuck Schuldiner was a fan? I ask because it reminds me of later Death and Control Denied.
Mark. 👍
Hei..this remastered very wonder!! U make metal alive!!!
the fx on this video are destroying it... fucking annoying
ps great sound and band
Claypool picked his bass?
Sorry no, while that is Les on the recording appearing in this particular video was Les's understudy Adam Gates,respectively......
No that is his understudy in the video,Adam Gates.Les plays on the track all fingers!
