    Conceptually most of the exercises is to "overextend your body movement" to improve your speed or power. This makes sense if you want to get better at something you overextend yourself. For example train longer, train more intensely, go further, reach higher. I don't know if there is any scientific studies in overextending movement patterns to increase performance. But it is obvious to me that is an effective way of training. I believe if some resistance was given at just the end of overextension in any movement pattern it may improve speed or power.

      @justjumari  Рік тому

      You could say that, more of a hip flexor thing, the position of the torso really tightens the hip flexor and doesn’t put the hamstring through a crazy stretch. there isn’t a lot of momentum for it to put the hamstring through much activation I’d say

      Sprint to get better at sprinting. Seriously. Break the run into phases(start/drive, acceleration/power, stride/form) and focus on mechanics. Starts and short bursts are different from long straight-lined speed. Hill sprints. Forward and backwards, etc. Things that force you to activate your fast twitch muscles.

      If you're taking them at max effort then probably no more than 3-4 per session. It doesn't feel like a lot, but it's about quality reps and staying consistent. As soon as you feel like you're not moving as fast, back off. Only need 1-2 hard sessions a week to get it going.

    its hard to find people to race against tho thats the problem for me and probably alot of people your gonna have to travel jus to race people and prob have to pay them to race u lol its how it is. Or like join a camp or something it is a pain in the ass if u want to be elite sprinting

    • @Andrembramwell
      @Andrembramwell Рік тому +1

      join a camp and if the people are not faster set a stagger in front of you. That is what i do. For instance if im running a 300m i have them take off from 250m mark and i chase them. This makes me exert more energy than if i was to run even and be ahead the entire time. Its very hard to train with elite athletes unless its a really cool coach that accepts everyone. most of the elite coaches/camps will not do that in the united states. you can join the camps in jamaica at any stage i plan to go down there for a couple months

      It’s just apart of common A-series sprinters do for motor learning. High knees emphasizes improper patterns for sprinting since force into the ground is what causes knee drive not forcing it up. So an A-run is putting force into the ground to get a “high knee” not vise versa

    Yo you’re a fool, there’s no way you break this down and think the worlds current fastest man over 200 is doing useless things .
    - hurdle drills = open hips, activate the hamstring, activate the hip flexors
    I.E. if you don’t know, don’t comment on what an Olympic world champion athlete is doing … you have never been on that level .. you have no room to internet coach and breakdown athletes.
    -- if he did an acceleration and it look like a fly to you ,doesn’t mean it’s not an acceleration…. In track and field an acceleration varies from athlete to athlete but what’s consistent is it being a “build up” you can start slow and speed up or pop off the line but at the end of the day it’s an acceleration until you hop in them blocks and do starts. This video is a smooth 3/10, it’s too much misinformation and I can tell you gon spread more. Recommend workouts don’t break down what an Olympic athlete does and you have never coached, been coached by an Olympian or been one. Cause you can’t speak on pure speed if you’ve never touched it … you a spectator, a fan …be that …not a coach. Btw you can get fast by yo self it’s just difficult a clock is a clock.
    Power Cleans & hang cleans are essential for speed stfu. It’s too much research on this stuff for you to be this dumb. Olympic level coaches and strength coaches know why you do cleans.

    • @justjumari
      @justjumari  Рік тому +1

      Do your research on me before you speak. Coached 3 guys to run 10.2 and coached over 1,000 athletes. Worked with NFL speed coaches and study under nba performance coaches for years. Im allowed to have my opinion and I can easily just debunk every thing you said but not gonna do that debating stuff in the comment. A simple Instagram search on my name and you would know all this. My opinion is valid and I can back all of it up with research and personal data

    • @justjumari
      @justjumari  Рік тому +1

      I’m even on the works of getting someone to go sub 10 currently , also got over 10 guys running 4.4, so once again. Do your research on someone before you try all this rara. I did the video live, didn’t cut it up and pause and take my time, so I’m gonna stutter a bit and have to think on the fly with my thoughts and opinions. I’d love to see you try!

    • @amirmagic3541
      @amirmagic3541 Рік тому +3

      @@justjumari first off 4.4 is slow and 10.2 is average unless the kid is in HS and if I’m not mistaken the only kids running that fast don’t run under you. If you coaching a person it’s post collegiate or non D1 program. They simple times you get if you actually practice and have any bits of talent. Not hard to achieve but takes discipline. I have done my research is why I even took the time to write it and write back. Working with someone is not the same as simply getting folks there yourself, you are not the reason you’re an audience to the work of your coaches system. You have pure misinformation and you must correct and do research on what you’re saying. The talent of these athletes are results have habits and genetic traits. More habit than you’ll ever realize, as a person who trains with olympians, the habits are more of a factor than you’ll ever realize.

    • @amirmagic3541
      @amirmagic3541 Рік тому +3

      @@justjumari your are entitled to your opinion but you got these kids thinking an Olympic , World Champion athlete who’s speed is form based is incorrectly doing drills and what not. What coach were you coached under. My coach was the world record holder and is a current world record holder. If you said this bout Christian Coleman, that’s fair his build and running style is genetic and repetition of certain habits while running and only focusing on certain things while neglecting some others. But Tim Hall and his staff knows what he’s doing. Abby Steiner just ran what 21.7?? Yeahhhh these coaches know why they telling they athletes certain things. Btw personal data is to subject to bias .. specifically confirmation bias so that’s just null. If you have research data it’ll support what I’m saying. Which I ain’t said shit but what you saying is incorrect and can’t tell these people a kid who went from 20.1 to 19.31 he’s incorrectly warming up. That’s wild to even type or mouth.
