3 years later and this video still sings to me! Thanks Dale, Matt and the entire WTT family! I've got my 50 WL motor sitting on my kitchen island getting ready for assembly!
@@Forzaplayer it is incredible! The staff are even cooler than the bikes if that's possible. Dale is awesome . It's crazy to see oil leaking out of museum pieces . So cool. Good luck friend .
It is, back when it first opened Autoweek Magazine did an article about it so my wife and I planned our annual summer vacation escaping Mass. to it . I borrowed a trailer from a friend a my wife found a cabin to rent for the week and went down and had a Great time , we also did the Tail of the Dragon along with many miles of fine Roads . That was the start of many Vacations down to the Smoky Mountain area . I highly recommend it !
Mate I’m blown away with your absolute unique old school collection, I’ve never had an urge to travel, up to know Tip top my man, Keep up the great content, such an education I salute you from down under 👍🍺
I bought a 37 WL back in 77, ran it for a couple years, went overseas to Beirut in 82 and ended up selling about eight bikes in 83 to clear my parent's basement when they sold their house in 83. I wish I'd had a place to keep them, miss them every day. I'd give a lot to have an old flathead these days, they're kind of hard to find, keep looking in old barns. Thanks Matt!
Thanks Matt for this series of videos really enjoying them, my wife and I were there in spring 2017. We really enjoyed the museum and maggy valley. I'm going to need a new Wheels Trough Time T- shirt soon , have to get back down there again. Besides Dale gave us a free pass to come back again because we got there an hour before closing, him and his wife asked if we could come back the next day because one hour wasn't enough time to see it all. We changed or plans stayed over night in Muggy Valley and had a great time at the museum the next day. Dale thanked my wife and I for changing or plans and coming back to the museum, and gave us a free pass if we ever made it back again. Hope the Walksler family is doing good. ThanksAgain
I was there in early June, 2016 and did not see this trio, at least I don't remember them. Were they on loan or did i just miss them. I do remember the twin Crockers. Dale was so nice, he took my wife all around the museum and showed her all of the original art work. I wish I knew what was going on with Dale, but I guess it is a private family matter and I totally respect that. All I can say is that when we walked up, Dale was sitting on the porch with some other people and he jumped up and said "hey ya'll get in free for having the longest beard today". It was really cool. Even though he is a world famous celebrity he made us feel important. I told him we had been in Florida and were heading back home to Texas and took a side trip to see the museum. Tears came to Dale's eyes and he said, "I can't believe you went so far out of your way to drop by".
I loved those three bikes the minute I saw them the last time I Visited the WTT ! They are even Cooler in person ,thanks for another awesome Video ! 👍👍
Very similar to our own family history. My father had 3 different WL models and my brothers and I purchased a basket job from a friend's uncle back in 68 and built a nice little bobber. If you were a good rider you could easily do a right hand power turn on a WL. IF you were a master rider you could do a left hander(LOL).
Do 1936 only cyls have much less fin stagger just like these cyls? I mean the front cyl fins like he pointed out. Plumbers nuts look too small? Bought the Big Book Vol 1 and 2 seventeen years ago.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
