Sometimes we as humane humans cry because innocent kind souls got afflicted by injustice.

I'm watching this while procrastinating 😭🤦
😂😂😂😂😂
Me too 😅😅😅
I think anxiety is also a very important factor..
Sometimes it doesn't even have anything to do with ADHD and it's just the sheer stress and anxiety of failure n stuff that can get in the way of doing tasks and we end up procrastinating.
You fear that you might not get things as perfect as you wanted and feel like you're not "good enough", and you feel like you're better off not doing anything at all..
And when the night comes you realise you literally haven't done anything at all, and it adds up to that self blaming train of thought you had already.
And it's really a damaging and painful cycle.
I recommend daily meditation and “Shoden” ashwaganda to lower cortisol… and sometimes, we have to rewrite our life stories.
Yes, anxiety will block flow state for example. In flow, we’re 5x more productive, 7x more creative, and our learning doubles.
@@Green7JR exactly. Life can turn into hell if you let anxiety and your "inner demons" take over you.
And thanks for your advice i'll look more into it❤
Recently i've tried out the reward technique and i reward myself whenever i complete tasks that require a lot of energy..and that's been helpful so far.
That's called 'paralysis by analysis', speaking as a person who has worked with a lot of Autistic people (including my autistic brothers) I researched a lot about neurodivergent conditions and I also noticed that they tend do what you described because they have a problem with hyperfixation, and, usually (but not always) a negative bias. They think they're automatically the worst person in the room, the most flawed and awkward when irl they're just scaring themselves.
It's not that you're being too sensitive or illogical, it just means some neurodivergent people are more susceptible to internalising negative things around them including negative comments about themselves. For some neurodivergents it can get so bad that the idea of failing/embarrassment completely prevents them from taking any action. They're fixated on the negatives, and this hyperfixation can be helpful ( if you fixate on work/finding solutions ) and other times it can be destructive ( if you fixate on how much you think you screwed up all the time ).
One friend described their struggle to me as 'you start to doubt you can do anything right anymore'. Imao the trap they fell into was fixating on what they feared was 'wrong' with them instead of appreciating what they can do, or what they could do in the present. They started to convince themselves that nothing they could do would succeed and their life was 'over' because they found something they couldn't do. They resigned themselves to failure and essentially cheated themselves out of the opportunity to turn things around because they gave up and couldn't forgive themselves for making a mistake.
This ever-present obsession with being self-critical is not the same as being 'humble' or 'aware of your limits' this is actually very toxic and negative.
I don't want to sound arrogant but I think you can get out of that self-defeating cycle with practice:
- First, be KIND to yourself (!) because if your friend messed up you probably wouldn't scream at them and tell them how they're hopeless a million different ways so why the heck should you do that to yourself ??
- Second, ask yourself - 'is this thing I'm worried about in my control and can I change it now?' (like other's opinions/past mistakes) and if it isn't changeable and it's negative then bin it, don't look back!
- Third, ask yourself 'where do I want to be in the next 5 years?' if you know roughly what you want to achieve (it doesn't have to be super well-defined) then cut anything out that isn't actively helping you achieve that goal.
Hope it helps!
@@Cosette-cz5xh I feel directly spoken to in your comment, thank you it was a very helpful read right at the right time 💖 I will save it as a reminder

@@ruriohama will you be my soulmate?
I am almost 50 years old now and never considered that I may have ADHD. But after watching this I am almost certain I do.
April 15th is tax day so of course I started my taxes on April 15th. I ended up loosing some tax documents due to reorganizing my office. I ended up having to file an extension; which now gives me until October. I know I should finish the taxes quickly and get it over with, but of course I haven’t yet because I don’t feel it’s important or urgent.
I had always thought ADHD was something little kids got because they had too much energy and didn’t want to sit still in class.
Everything you have described in this video sounds the way my brain works.
Thanks for taking the time to bring it to light.
Ruri may not be pregnant but never fails to deliver.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol
Hilarious
Nice one
@@ruriohamaI love you 🫵
I spat my drink out at that one
I don't know why but all this motivational or improvement videos or stuff doesn't change me. The only thing which changing me now days is my commitment to change my life
Ruri's video arrives at the right time, whenever I feel I am being lazy or I am just not trying to get the work done. I remind myself of how crazy this procrastination game can be.
Thanks for the wonderful reminders Ruri!
Yeah❤❤ I do have my assignments left to do....and just waiting to encourage myself to do that (waiting for due dates)
I procrastinate because I've never achieved any success before. For 10years I'm in failure state. Right after I found your videos i tried to focus more on doing some works. For now, I tried to finish my coding bootcamp and I tried to finish 1 video a day. Thank you ruri for doing all these self-motivating videos. I may share my success with you in the next year. Doing my best currently.
Thanks for another awesome video Ruri 😊
You know procrastination often occurs even when it feels bad due to a complex interplay of factors. It could be a result of feeling overwhelmed, fear of failure, or a lack of motivation. Despite the negative feelings associated with procrastination the temporary relief it provides might seem more appealing than facing the immediate stress or discomfort of the task at hand. Breaking tasks into smaller more manageable steps and understanding the root causes of procrastination can help address this common challenge.
I hope that long explanation sums it up
I feel so identified with the most of topics treated in this video. Love your content Ruri!
I’m glad i came across your channel…as someone who suffers from most of the same problems as you, i feel a kinship to you. Thanks for all the effort you put in for us ❤️
This video literally explains the kind of things I have been dealing with from last one and a half year, thanks for providing the solution as well as sharing your experience with all of us.
So glad you posted! Thank you for sharing your knowledge ❤ it really helps to feel less broken
Thank you for this upload, procrastination is something i've been suffering from for quite some time and will definitely need to work on it significantly over the next few months.
girl this video is on time! I was struggling so bad procrastinating all my deadlines and then feel extremely terrible about it, tells myself that I gotta start working on them tomorrow.
Guess what? The same routine happens again.
Thanks for the video reminding me to act the f up and start facing the problem. Subbed.
I'm step by step changing my life and it's really few changes btm but I just start few days ago with your previous video, here is another one which can help me to change my mindset. I know you since many years and we even talked couple of times before when I was using Instagram. I usually never get effected by UA-cam videos or others opinion but listening to you is making me more consient and I would like to say huge thanks for your work. Hopefully, I will be able to change my life and make UA-cam videos on my main channel and one day I will become succesful UA-camr like you. Thank you Ruri!💜
Man it felt like you listed all of my problems at once . Truly thankful for this video , let's hope I don't procrastinate from now on 😁
I'm a fan of both you and Izzy.
Of all the videos I watched, this one hits home the most.
A deserved subscription to your channel.
I literally faced this problem right now and your videos are so powerful and useful thank you ruri
From one ADHDer to another, I appreciate your efforts.
What I like most about this channel is that it presents the video to the audience in a fluent and perfect way without any delay.
Wow. Such a nice video. Many times it's just the fear of failure that causes one to procrastinate. Many work harder and beyter under pressure when their projects are close to deadline. Thank you Ruri for an insightful video.
This is just in time ! Thank you ❤
Thanks for helping us for free, Ruri.
You’re always the best!❤🔥
Love your content 👏
Thx you are one of the few UA-camrs that give tipps that are ADHD compatible. You changed my life with it. Thank you
Hell yeah Ruri! Thanks for raising ADHD awareness and helping spread great tools :)

*Thanks Ruri , somedays I know the task I need to do but sometimes a sense of overwhelmed hit me and left me paralyzed and make me procrastinating , after you explained the issues and reasons I know better how to fix it and I hope my life will go to a better path , bye 👋*

Awesome video, always nice to get the confirmation of not being crazy. And knowing why I procrastinate making art even though I love making art. Also what amazing jacket. Looks super good on you as well.
You are my favorite youtuber Ruri!
Your content is all I need to get through my day
You have made my life so much better
Thank you soo muchhh Ruri❤
To be honest , you are doing so well with your content ...thumbnail , video quality , sound quality ..
💯
Hi Ruri, many thanks for the video. Your video came to my recommendation at the right time. I been struggle with the same issue for many years, now only found out that I actually I have ADHD. Also, INTJ myself, I can totally relate to this
I am binge watching your amazing videos - is this procrastinating?
I am loving everything about you. Well done young lady, you deserve all the success in the world.
Keep up the great work. New Subscriber here. Cheers from Western Australia
I have adhd and I really appreciate this video. I feel like I literally cannot turn my brain off and it genuinely resonated with me. Sometimes I feel regret for not knowing these kinds of tips earlier because I would be much further but the only thing I can control is the future. I am glad that you made this video because it helped me put everything into perspective more and made me feel less alone. Keep making more good videos :)
Hi ruri, just wanna say your video always help me so much!! Thank you for making such helpful videos!!! You're awesome ❤
Human beings awared that they have got similar problems! In this seperatist world order just to realize “you’re not alone” is a big thing! Thanks to Ruri’s amazing videos! Not just point out the problem but also provides the solutions…What else you expect?
Thanks for sharing such a awesome video as i have also been dealing with this type of ADHD procrastination for some years now
The video I was waiting for has arrived, thank you very much Ruri!
I appreciate the inspiration, there are times where i didnt wanna work or go to workout in gym, i do it even if it isnt 100 percent. In my early 20s i messed up and goof around but I have to give my future self a chance. Its not too late to start over, people are just afraid to see it work out without trying.
I had a protracted burnout after having basically no life in high school. I almost failed my first year of medschool because of the fallout. Luckily I was able to find a way to measure myself. These are really useful tips, thank you for sharing!
Who else clicked on the video, watched 3 seconds, commented, dipped and said "I will come back to this soon (promise)"
You touched on some thing amazing about hyper focusing within people who have ADHD this is definitely identifying me, but sometimes it can go to the point of an unhealthy thing
Yeah definitely…
Hey Ruri!
I was listening to this in the background and once I heard ADHD I had to focus (ha ha ha...) more. Immediately bought the kaizen system as it will help me as I'm currently launching my design company. So, thank you thank you thank you!
As a rare foreigner to have the title 課長 at an old traditional company in Tokyo, I was writing kaizen reports daily at the end of the day, and while I dread those days, this is much more relevant today for me!
By the way, as a designer, I obviously went to your site to buy the kaizen system via mobile, and there were a few issues. Mainly with just getting everything within a wrapper, as some things are touching the edge of my screen (Galaxy S22+).
Just a heads up as I'm sure you'll be able to fix it! Thanks again! ADHDも頑張りましょう!
After watching your video, I feel like I want to be selfish in wanting less people to know about you, you are like a pearl in the ocean, your knowledge makes me better. Thank you very much, 6 months later I will come back to comment and review it.
From my own humble point of view you are the one who knows the most about yourself and you are the one who is able to create a system with the optimal convenience to you, so yeah I love the part when you said that none of the apps you tried worked for you and therefore, you developed your own system
Im addicted to watch your new videos every time
❤❤❤
I love your videos. They make me feel better about myself
Thank you for your video, Ruri!
I just want to say that your videos have not only inspired me to start making videos that I am passionate about, but you also (somehow) get me in a hopeful and good mood to actually sit down and make them, and make them as good as I can, and for that I thank you.
I appreciate it🥹
I'm just came back after 6 months of English studies to say i'm almost fluent. Just followed all the Ruri's tips and i'm very comfortable to say that it worked well. Thank you Ruri for all you support here teaching us how to achieve a good language level and start talking without fear. My tip? Do what you already do everyday, but now in a different language with, for example, if you like listening to songs, just listen to songs in this target language.
this was much needed as i am inn college and have projects and deadline but i always do things in last minute instead of doing on the freetime so thank you for this videos
I can relate to all the problems mentioned in the video. I procrastinate quite and severe level of ADHD which is depriving my sleep as well. Thanks for the insights you shared about the problems.
Ruri, I really love your storytelling ❤.
Ruri's, I always follow all your video uploads and I like your inspiring content🙂
Thanks Ruri. Your videos always help me
Merhaba, in Turkish , Marhaba in Arabic, i have all the symptom's u mentioned for ADHD, and that really make me feel disappointed with myself for not achieving what i want to do, it is also true what you said about the flow of ideas we always think of, and unfortunately most of the time it ends up forgotten or never done, easily distracted and procrastinate is also a stressful thing and to me it mainly happen because of the lack of focus, i test that on myself and found that eliminating certain food from your diet could really help with that, like i tried Keto diet for a while and surprisingly i got all the energy i wanted and the focus, of course i couldn't keep it up and back to my old habits again. The reason i share this is because i know a lot of people out there might struggle with this and sometimes learning from others experience could really help . bless you ruri
Oh my god... You just described me and my issues perfectly. Your day could have been mine almost exactly! I'm gonna have to take a minute to digest this. But thank you, because i know you can't solve a problem if you don't know what the problem is
It's been along time since I have been to UA-cam the last video I remember watching was to learn Japanese with ruri and now I am here as usual for some motivation from my best UA-cam influencer and my loneliness killer as usual ruri never fails to deliver
I don't know if I've got ADHD or not. But, I have all the same symptoms and situations that you've went through. Also, I too get stressed and frustrated not meeting deadlines. For ex - If I'm reading a book, and I have to read it in 1 week to spend the next 2 weeks preparing a whole month of articles for linkedIn in which I'd share my learnings and lessons, I find myself spending 2 weeks reading that book, and only 1 week left to prepare all the articles and posts sharing my learnings and lessons on linkedIn. The Kaizen template is gonna be a game changer for me, thanks a ton for making this video.
Thank you very much. I guess I’ve always wanted to do Kaizen and didn’t realize it! I have ADHD and it makes it harder to stay on task so this is great. I will see if this Kaizen planner works with me.
Thank you for creating this video
You're absolutely right and have had to humble myself, wanting to break 2,000 take home and not realizing certain days of week land in next week's pay. Procrastinate on home advancements etc.😊
Thank you Ruri ✨
Interesting, I've been following up on your channel's videos Ruri, appreciate your advice.
Thank you so much Ruri💓⚘
Very informative! I love you! Ooops! Haha
I just love your content Ruri 🥰
Wow, this is great to hear. I thought I was weird because my brain never turned off at night time. I’m always thinking about video ideas or thinking about problems of the world constantly.
I'm an INTJ too!! That's why I felt so identified with you! Wow... I like a lot your videos, keep it up! 😄
Thank you I think I got my brain refreshed.
Just took the 16personalities test, and got INT[P]-T, so we differ in the planning and organization aspect and it kinda makes sense as i never fully took advantage of management tools even simple ones like Todo lists 😅. That explained a lot, I'm definitely reading more about this 😮! And Oh hey, great vids as always! Keep up!
Thanks a lot for this precious video❤❤
It was a great informative video thanku Ruri❤
you are amazing. thank you for your being. hope i will know better now how to deal with life
Thank you so much! Awesome video ❤❤
Thank you so much for this video it will definitely help me out!
Thank you, Ruri. You video notification just saved me from the UA-cam swamp I was in.
I love your voice so much!
You are extremely interesting to listen to. You have extremely interesting topics. Now you are my favorite blogger
I'm going to save this to Watch later.
Hopefully I will be able to watch it later...
She uploads it just when I needed it
Good health is our most valuable and precious need. 😊
It's such a depressing feeling when you know that you should be doing something but you don't and you feel bad about it and that cycle repeats itself every day 😥
I am not sure if I have adhd or not but this video is extremely helpful either way. I probably wont be able to buy the template but I will most likely try to incorporate some of the elements of it into my schedule
One of the biggest motivations for me to learn English is that I can easily understand quality channels like yours.
love you keep moving forward all love from iraq
Thank you for sharing your experience, it can be very useful for me. As always, a very high quality post.
With my regards Ruri
i love how u point out problems, like if you're living with us
keep up the good work! Fighting!!
Every time I see your face my self-esteem drops a million meters, but then I remember that my personality is what I love the most and it goes away immediately.
shes so good at story telling
I'm actually procrastinating while watching your video. It's insane :D
Happy Thanksgiving Ruri!!and I wish you have a amazing amazing weekend✨🩷🤗
For some reason I really like the thumbnail of this video, great lighting and expression
I really liked the template but tbh it seems so complicated to me. However, the video is great and inspiring, I really enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing your tips, my friend
Lol, for me the effort in managing kaizen chart regularly, is itself a reason enough to procrastinate.
You’re so kind ruri
I really like your video❤ ,as a Chinese,we have little research about ADHD ,and I even don’t know if I have this problem, but it’s very hard for me to finish a text, even get distracted when I listen to English listening in the examination room😢
When Ruri posts, I stop everything I'm doing and get my coffee ready and put on my glasses like I'm Clark Kent. ☕🤓🦸🏻♂️
