As others have said, just what I needed. I can fly and land, but I want to make it more of a Sim, and follow ATC instructions. This will help me get there.
Hi there from the UK . Thanks for the video . Its was very informative . I am looking to upgrade from (don't laugh ) the old MS2000 running on my old Win 7 pc . Looking at MS2020 although a few of my pals are using Xplane 11 . Looking around on You tube I am leaning towards MS as I like the Graphics and it will more than likely be similar to my old Sim . I have the Yoke and am now in the process of building my rudders ( It was always set to auto rudder in the old version I had but that's not viable for spin recovery and side slipping ) I have bought an old MS Joystick and gutted it and now will be making up the linkage and drive system to the control potentiometer to vary for rudder inputs . This did work on the old system during tests. I have about 150 hours on a few types spread over many years and fly out of Liverpool International EGGP . which is a Full ATC class Delta airport . I love it more when its seriously a busy time with the big jets incoming ,certainly makes it very interesting This covid thing is doing a number on us all . I need to to get flying again so a sim may help me keep sane . I do fly Tomahawks and Warriors with the old steam gauges . I hope that MS2020 still has one of them ?? Perhaps you can advise . Thanks again and stay safe Ron G4DIY
I don't have any experience with Xplane but I can say I'm very much enjoying MS2020. Probably the closest thing to the Warrior would be a Bonzana, and there are a number of small aircraft similar to the Tomahawk. @@Turbochuck Hi there , Thanks a lot for the reply .. I have taken the plunge and ordered it . So its all system go . Good luck my friend . Stay safe and healthy . Ron
Wouldn’t KAUS have wanted you to get clearance delivery prior to contacting ground? Asking bc I’m trying to use msfs to practice radio in my local area (KAUS, KGTU, KEDC, etc) and I’m not sure how or if possible to request VFR to practice “CRAFT”. When I do it IFR it tells me something ridiculous like expect 12000 going to Exec in a C152
Yes, IRL you would call clearance first. In MSFS, I don't believe it works well to call clearance if you're just flying VFR, so I go straight for Ground.

Good instructions!
