Originally, this video had audio narration. But it was stilted, and didn't match with the style of the video. Which would you all prefer? 1. Text commentary, no voice-over 2. Text commentary with audio narration 3. Free-form narration with text clarification
I'd say 2 or 3. The audio narration you did probably isn't anywhere as bad as you think it is, and getting good at narrating things for a video might come in handy for some reason in the future so it's not a bad idea to practice it now. The Factorio UA-camr Michael Hendriks used to only do text commentary and was worried about how his commentary was, but everyone seemed to like his voice and commentary when he switched to audio narration. It couldn't hurt to give it a try for a few videos, you can always go back to text commentary if people don't like the voice over, or if doing the commentary stresses you out for some reason.
Not only did your videos are informative and high quality, you also make a skin for the vehicle too (Lots of them). I really appreciate your effort that you put into your video and this game, kudos to you good sir.
In the 109 g and k variants, you can set your radiators to 35-40% and continuously WEP. The only problem in that the WEP drinks up your fuel very quickly, but the k4 is most noticeable.
New player here. Great! Awesome vid loved it. One thing that confused me was how you managed to WASD your plane around moving but not having it revert back to your flight cursor when you let got of WASD.
Lol had the same problem when I started. It was maybe dozens of flying hours before I realised theres the C key for free look. Just practise to hold the C key when u use the WASD for flying
Hello, I love your channel. I've learnt a lot. Can you please go with Ki-83? I loved it since the trailer and still fly it. But there's still much to learn.
Please use the matchup thing you did, it’s good for me to know what to do when fighting against other American planes in a bf 109 please keep doing it thanks
Your content is super helpful & concise in it's delivery of information but I have one pressing question: What witchcraft is involved in getting into matches where people actually engage each other at +4000m? I always find myself cruising along at high altitude in my beloved 190D only to watch all the action happen at like 500 - 2500m where my Dora is just about useless.
@@Renta352 Thank you, respect for your patience doing things like that. You wouldnt happen to know a list of trustworthy optimal climb speeds for some of the most common/popular fighters? Still a newbie and see different numbers for the sama planes. I only do props and look for numbers for the various versions of P51s, Bf109s, Fw190s, Spits/Typhoons etc.
@@soderstadion77 All of my Fighter School videos on specific aircraft--and all of my gameplay videos that have commentary--have their optimal climb speeds listed, usually in yellow. Most planes I haven't done a video on, I have yet to test.
Thanks for your helpful vidéos 😊 I want to ask you something, why did you not use WRTI for more infos on your screen (pitch angle, climbing speed, etc) and do you use manual controls for your radiators (it help a lot on the 109 to climb without overheating) ?
I have to find optimum climbing airspeed by going through many trials of testing different climb speeds with a stopwatch. The thing with shallower climbs is just by feel; past a certain speed range, you will really notice that your extra speed doesn't make up for the lower climb rate.
Question: If I am zooming after a dive with a bogey on my tail climbing with me, and it has a better climb rate then mine. What should be the suitable counter of that? Do I start roping or something else? In this scenario, I had a F2A-1 and my bogey was a P36C or G.
The biggest factor here is the difference in energy states. Is the other aircraft actually keeping pace with you as you zoom, or are they simply following you--even as you're pulling away--because they know they will eventually catch up?
@@Renta352 I see it now. Now that I reconstruct the fight in my mind, I can see that I could have determined that by tracking what my opponent was doing before a zoom.
@@roughrider4048 If you do have the energy advantage, keep Boom-n'-Zooming. Just make sure not to drop below your best climb speed. If you don't, and you're not getting away in a zoom climb, your only option with an F2A against a P-36 is to accept a turnfight. And with two aircraft so similar as they, you'll need to beat their pilot, not their plane. Trick them. Feint going one way and then go the other, unexpectedly chop throttle and then rev up again, suddenly kick the rudder, etc.
If he's above you them dive, if he's not follow you climb to force a scissor fight. If he's follow you them he will compress at 700 kph and then you can turn and re engage on his six. Would work better in F-109-F4 or FW-190A but G6 can do it just fine.

Awesome video, I wish I watched this when I started playing almost a decade ago lmao
Learning a lot with your videos
Is there a way to know your best ias to climb ? Or is this mostly from experience with the plane ? Thanks for all your vids they helped alot
I was about to ask that same question 😄
Any answer to this?
Go and see the adamtheenginerd video about climbing, and there are several lists in the internet with the best climb IAS speed of each plane

I have a bug where my enemies have brains, is there a way to fix this?
Would love to see one about the FW 190 A5/12
Thanks for your videos, they are really helpful. Do you use a sound mod? And if yes, may I ask which one?
I'm not currently using any sound mods.
i wish there were lists with all the best climb speeds in them
Don't need to watch but commenting for algo 🥰
Why does this man not have 100k subs

This was a mountain map, where both airfields were already kilometers above sea level. Without that head start, I wouldn't've climbed so high.
Climbing basics : 1) select BF109 2) climb
Or spitfire
Thanks for the video. So G6 optimal climb speed IAS is 289. How do you find out the optimal value for other planes if I may ask. Thx.
Graph climb against speed, pretty tedious
I usually look up historical references and test different climb speeds with a stopwatch to see which is fastest.

Kiwi has an old climb chart. Should be possible to google it. I use it to great effect.

It's best not to clutter up a basic tutorial with things people don't absolutely need to know.
How do you determine ideal climb and shallow climb speeds?

The Bf 109g6 has to fight the i225, there is nothing it can do against them
uhhh...no. this is a skill issue i am afraid.
it is not a skill issue, the i225 out climbs and out speeds the bf 109g6 at every altitude, it also turns well enough to hang with a bf 109g6

Idk what I’m doing wrong still. All the enemies outclimb me by pretty big margins:(
Are those enemies flying the same aircraft as you are?
Perfect timing 💀
Goddamn i've been climbing with me 109 with 230ias because i found some olx excel chet sheet guess it's outdated
Which model of Me.109? Earlier variants have lower climb speeds.
230 is basically stalling wth 💀

Of course you would in a BF. Of course you’d fucking play that plane. Those need to be nerfed
