Don't normally comment - but what a fantastic film. If anyone ever in doubt than dogs are our best friends. They were just brilliant and you cared so much for them
Thanks for that. Dogs have very short life compare to us humans. And it's up to us how they live it. All of these trips with them are pretty special to me and will remember them forever.
What a great video Jonas. I have the Rum Cuillin on my list. It was good to see what’s involved. You had great weather. Good to see that it’s manageable for dogs. Thanks and well done. 👏👏👏
Enjoyed this mate, what an adventure. Feared for the dogs on some of the scrambles but you looked after them. I did the traverse back in 2014 and loved every bit of it. Came down the wrong line on Trollival and had to scramble down greasy wet terraces. Was bricking it.
Thanks Robin. for me.. it was one of those days I was in some kind of happy trance.. if you see what I mean. If I didn't have the pictures I would say I changed into a dog for that day and we did as a pack of three:-] Can't say I loved every bit of it though.. but the feeling after in the bothy was... amazing.
Brilliant Jona, what an adventure, loved every minute of it. Thank you so much for sharing your's, Sophie and Tilley's adventure with us. All the best Dave
Aaahhhhhh 🥃 Brilliant Jonas. What an adventure. 😎Always fancied the Rum Cuillin. Need to get over there. Sofie & Tilly looked as tho they had a ball. 😊 Bothy looked great too.
What an absolutely amazing video Jonas 😍👏🏻..It looks so amazing there..Looked a hard workout even for a super fit guy like yourself 😁💪🏻..The dogs were brilliant 😁..The Bothy looked great and those mountains OMG 😍😍😍..Really enjoyed that mate 😁👍 Cheers Robert
what an absolute joy to watch this one, Jonas. My mate and I had planned to do the same journey a couple of years ago but the weather window was rubbish and spent the night at Kinbreak at the end of Loch Arkaig. I haven't been out this year as such apart from a couple of bothy trips, one at Raasay which was devine. Take good care fella
Thoroughly enjoyed this Jonas, what an adventure! I would love to try the ridge but at 11 years old I think it would be too much for my Meg and I would leave her at home. ATB, Ian
Thank you Ian. Yes 11 years of age for dog sounds like too much for Rum Cuillin traverse but you must know best what she can do. You can actually escape down to Dibidil bay for the bothy after you hike/scramble ''only'' first two hills [Hallival and Askival] if that helps or alternatively you could do just low level walk to the bothy from Kinloch. That is the path I used for going back from bothy. I hate leaving dogs at home but understand it will get hard later when they get old. ATB Jonas.
Thank you Sue, Tilly wants to be a good girl soo much and that sometimes may cause the problem🙂 She is Sofie's daughter but they are both different characters. Thinking to breed Tilly, it will be just once in her lifetime like we did with Sofie so let me know if you want to book one pup. But remember it's a lifechanging decision! Cheers J.
@@jonashubalekwhiskyandthewild ahhh! Tilly is a star & she melts my heart! Alas, I can’t commit to a pet 🙁 Will you keep one when she gives birth? A future third canine UA-cam star? ❤️
@@FIVE-FOOTLyth Wise attitude. Definitely not! We will sell all of them. But that was the plan last time and it didn't work:-] This time I will ask a written confirmation to each family member that we won't keep one😁 I love them but three would be too much for us.
Fantastic, takes me back to 2010 when my pal and I stayed there for 3 days and climbed every top, some of them twice! Because they’re not Munro’s they don’t see the same amount of foot traffic and are all the better for it and let’s be honest, they can hold their own against all but the best Munro’s.
Thanks. I agree, Rum Cuillin are steep and more difficult to ascend than many munros where the terrain is less steep and with a path up on summits. Cheers.
Fantastic video! I've got rum on the list! I need to learn how to plan routes/navigate better before i take on such a task! Have you got any advice on planning hikes better?
Thank you. I am not the expert but.. Just go and do it I would say! Start with something easy and well marked like WHW. Gradually go for more difficult ones. Go in good weather, it helps a lot. Cheers.
Superb 👏 👏 👏
5 tops, 5 dry humps, 2 lagers, 1 whisky and 2 special friends....brilliant video
Thank you. Had 2 big Tennent's and 1 small Staropramen in there I think🙂 Cheers🍺

Thank you. It was windy a little but clear and dry. Yes manageable with dogs but you need to find the right route for them. Cheers.

Really amazing video and guidance.

Great filming Jonas, loved it, now I can't wait to get over there with my pooch later this year :)
Thank you. Have fun! It's a beautiful island.
What a great tough adventure. Your dogs did brilliantly but I can appreciate they were ready for a good sleep. Awesome.
Thank you. Yes all three of us were ready for a good sleep:-]
That was a big day, glad you got good weather to see those stunning views. Sofie and Tilly are honoury mountain goats after that.
Thank you. I was waiting for that weather in there for some time. Yeah.. they were great. I am proud of them.

brilliant! thanks for showing us the rum cuillins, and well done sophie and tilly. you earned that infinity pool at the bothy, tough tough day.

Absolutely fantastic Jonas! Just watched this with my dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it!! My wee paddy was watching with envy!! Stunning mate! Paul

Fantastic video big man, looks like you got lucky with the weather. Respect, that looked a tough hike, well done all.
