How much do I love this man??? He was the original real deal... how many other artists modelled their image on him or were influenced by what he created and never gave him the credit.
He absolutely paved the way for many things. Race + religion + talent+ sexuality...it can’t have been easy being Little Richard. But he did it with a wop bop a loola. RIP wonderful man.

He was such a joyful soul. Genuine, funny and charming. I just loved his laugh and zest for life. He was also highly intelligent and very interesting; and quite handsome especially when he was young. Full of life; he had it all and then some. Mostly, I admired him for his love of Jesus. I hope to see you, Richard, in Heaven. You were a witness for Jesus Christ and I thank you for all the joy and light you brought to this dark world

Richard was hilarious, he was a super nova of personality. he was a man that had lived a hard life and seen lots of pain, and he never let it turn him into a old bitter person. he would complain and he would brag, but it was all part of hist shtick and there was always a good heart under it. but Richard also had one of the greatest voices in rock history, and was one of the hardest working tireless performers of all time. and his early explosion was the personification of everything that was rock and roll. he had the energy and the charisma, the flamboyance and ego that we picture our rock gods to have. he was like an alien being exploding out of radios, a vision that must have shocked people in ways we cant even imagine now. he was the epitome of rebellion, he was the person he was and nothing was going to censor him or contain him. it breaks my heart that most people will really never realize what we lost with him. his contribution and importance is so much more important than the few early years that he was on the charts. his influence is the life blood of some of the most praised and respected stars of all time. he was so much more than the jestor that most people see him as, so much more important than the man that says "shut up" and we all laugh. thats just one of the many facets of the man that is a true ICON. for as long as i am still around you will always be missed Richard.

I loved it. Fact little Richard grew up in church, his grandfather was a preacher. He sung in choir and I'm told played the piano. He was 5 years older than my mom. She went to same high school he had. Yeah I'm from Macon ga. I go home every 3 months. We come to Jesus as children. Most of us learn about Jesus as children. Had his father not kicked him out. He'd never did what he did.Jesus saves. He already paid the price. All we have to do is repent, ask Jesus to come into our ♥. Heart.for last couple years all he talked about was he just wanted be saved before he died. We put off old things and become new. I truly believe God was with little Richard all his life.he just had to go through some things to get there. None of us are perfect. I'm told this man always had a good heart. Helped a lot of people. Not that his childhood home has been moved and restored, its now the little Richard resource center. Will help a lot of people.in that area old and young.he was proud to be from Macon and Macon loved him.God love all his childrens. He was saved when he passed.I remember him most for his later years when he would preach pass out books about Jesus. .I'm sure he's at peace. Rip little Richard you did good. Love, respect and positivity to all. Neita James.
