Well, based on determination flat number nerfs (and possibly grace and discipline as well), this will compensate pretty well for those. Also shield crush buffs. And bleed also getting buffed based on all the higher numbers
@@jedrusnowak3317 It's not amazing, but it's used all the time on ES builds simply for the ES gain on hit Watcher's Eye mod. Now that I think about it ward could be super nice, from what I remember a wardloop build requires you to run all ward gear but with the quality change maybe you can drop an item and hopefully be less squishy to instagibs.
Probably worth noting that the lvl 78 ES chest shown in the teaser has an extremely high int requirement. Likely we will need to be more cognizant of stat requirements in 3.25, or Supreme Ostentation is going to be hugely popular
Oh man I immediately thought of Emperor's Vigilance with corrupted 30% qual when I saw the change. One of my strongest builds ever was a shield crusher with a decent one I managed to chance back in crucible. This doesn't quite reach crucible levels of silly with the shield, but will be very good.
Keep in mind that auras like determination are also getting nerfed based on one of the previous reveals so it seems like they’re putting an emphasis on gear and a little bit less emphasis on the auras
I feel like ive been asking for this for years i just didnt know it, I thought the skills were bad for leveling but if they really dont want to touch them then its the items that suck and quality item currencies were pointless before you get to endgame now you can upgrade more easily and I hope to try new attack and melee skills for leveling
The hunt for 30% quality and good rolled bases is now a thing to really strive for in SSF. I only see 0-1 Sacred Orbs a league, so figuring out a method to mass farm high ilvl bases in hopes of a good rolled base would probably be a better choice.
I'd consider winds of fate only if there would be item with modifier like: "your hits count as critical strike hits". So that weapon would actually damage with every hit but actual crit chance would be capped at 50%, and yet decent rare weapon with capped crit will be better and easier to build around 😅
I get it, but it's just one of those things that's required in a way for the channel to grow and evolve. It depends on the video too, fe. in the forgotten uniques I'm only present on screen in the intro and outro
Crazy idea. The base with more life on it - what if that is an adjustment.... to a skill tree rework? They just imported the boss life bars from POE2 to POE1 - what IF they import their version of skill trees, complete with removing life off the tree completely, and instead they moved all the life to the gear?
I doubt that all life is being removed from the tree, but I could absolutely see some of it making way for other defensive system reworks, and in that case a small buff to the amount of life obtainable on each gear piece would make sense
I guess they want to reduce difference between XXX stacking and crafted weapons. This dmg boost is nowhere close to compensate the 50% more dps from totems, so there has to be way more.
Can you break down how a weapon like Pillar of the caged god work with the new changes? also how does the weapon work compared to a normal weapon when adding things like flat added dmg from other sources such as bloodthirst support?
For pillar the quality change doesn't change anything, it would still directly improve the weapon base damage and because there's no other local modifiers, it doesn't matter if it's increased or more quality. Added damage is applied after weapon base damage, so it wouldn't be affected by quality
Very unlikely uniques won't be nerfed to cancel out the quality change. We already saw this happen with unique bows when bases were buffed. Mods were nerfed to make them unchanged, even though none were being used
If a massive NERF on gems is not confirmed, this opens the possibility of reviving thousands of builds that had already become obsolete. Incredible. On the other hand, I wonder if this will apply to Pillar of the Caged God, considering that it increases the weapon's physical damage by 16% per 10 strength. That is, with 29% quality, it will increase 20% physical damage for every 10 strength?
I hope GGG will at least have the decency to thank you for bringing these to their attention after they nerf them. Edit: Oh, you did mention potential nerfs. Sorry for not having enough faith in you.
No, it will only multiply the flat base damage of the weapon. Added damage from sources such as bloodthirst is added after weapon base damage is calculated
how will this work with weapons that are pure elemental such as oros? i mean specifically while enchanted with harvest elemental scaling instead of physical damage. also atziri splendour might be a nice item for cheap stats.
We don't know if Harvest quality will be changed, but as of right now the wording implies it will remain as the stat stated: ie. quality instead grants % inc elemental damage. I think this change is supposed to be a buff for physical weapons in part
Because of this Quality rework to bake in the melee damage with the removal of required totem use was going to mess the defensive numbers, they are nerfing Determination/Grace/Disciple, instead of nerfing each and every Unique. And they are adding the new base types to make up for the aura nerfs, if you are using crafted items. They aren't nerfing Aegis, Brass Dome, etc. The #s aren't that "crazy", they removed 1200 flat from Determination cause your getting 1200 back on your other gear. I highly doubt they're touching any of these.
I would like to know if necropolis is going core. I think the reason why we have not heard anything is because it is hotly debated. The crafting system as is, is extremely busted. The mid league nerfs to allflames would be explained by this move. (Kinda), so maybe just keep allflames. We did lose access to sextants, so it is almost a perfect replacement. On top of that, if we get new tiers of everything also ward, then they could at first, lock it behind the new mechanic. 😅 Yes it would be a D move, but it would force us crafters to engage with the new mechanic.
