Love final product. Great gift for a guy. What if, after your epoxy coat you put down Stonecoat’s countertop Matt finish? You’ve got me thinking Clara! Love the cup!
❤️🌈❤️ We need the failures to see that we can keep working it or sometimes things just don’t work out. I prefer how it ended up. Also hope your son got a “A”!
do you have to use resin? can you use a clear acrylic spray paint? have you ever watched an artist paint? they do multiple background colors and paint over them again and again to get shadows and highlights and depth. I never know for sure that what I set out to create will be what I end up with
I agree. A build up of colors to create depth is a good way to approach any type of painting. As an artist, I do that quite often and am very happy with the results. Tumblers sometimes are a bit of a surprise, especially when using such a fluid medium.
@@ClaraLawrence Thank you so much for this! I think I'll get some of this for another project. The only objection I have is that it dries glossy. I found the best alternative is using a Krylon Matte finish acrylic spray. A couple of light coats. It doesn't add anything at all to the thickness and no gloss.
I like the final! I love how you show your mistakes and how you fix them 😊
Thanks. I find it helps me out when I see another artist problem solve to get themselves out of a situation. So I share.
End result is gorgeous!
Absolutely love how this turned out Clara.
Thanks. Supper happy with the result.
Final! Love it when you show the "mistakes" and how you recover.
Thanks. Will do then, because it happens all the time.
This turned out very nice! It's not often we see cups that are geared toward men. This is perfect!
Thanks. That's a great way of thinking about that. Humm.
@@ClaraLawrence thank you! You do such nice work! 🥰🧚♂️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm really late to the party on this one but I have to say I love the end result so, so much. It's stunning.

Darlin. You don’t fail. You just change your mind and the results are always lovely.
Awe you are sweet, but yes I do fail and sometimes like this one it turns out better than I originally planned.
Love the happy accident, and the colors, wow!!! Love it
Thanks. Those colors have a lot of really nice depth to them.
I like the final result Clara👍

Buy I also have a question what are the tray rounds under the table? From what I can see they are beautiful.
Those are Acacia Wood trays, Target was carrying them, not sure if they do any longer.
Wowwwwww👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks so much
Are there any alternatives to using a thick layer of glossy resin as a final coat? I much prefer the way it looks before any coatings. Thanks.
This might work. It is a Mod Podge product. Here is my Amazon affiliate link for it. amzn.to/3oQsaiM

That is one perfect mistake! Me lovey!
Thanks. I wish all my mistakes turned out this good. Giggle
Hi, how do you prep your tumbler? Do you paint them white, if so what type of paint do you use?
Yes I do prime them all with a white primer. Here is my affiliate link amzn.to/3bv8wGc
Like the final results the best. First would have been good if the drips went straight down the cup.
I agree. Thanks. Might have to try the first thought again, but will have to do some thinking or playing... or both
Final definately
Thanks, I appreciate that.
💓💯
Thanks, I appreciate that.
Please translation to Portuguese from Brazil.
🇧🇷 Obrigada 😊
I added that. Hope it helps. Thanks.
