The armor could of been high stat farmable in activities would of been smart at least by Dumbgie...by my biggest disappointment about the armor they could of at least made the armor artifice armor
They just need to add all the old content back, this game has a reason to be 300-400 gbs. And it would be nice if diffrent content was split into different downloads. Check out of all games call of duty mobile. Its has one of the best storage opimizations in the indistry. Ill gladly pay a hundred dollers each year for replayable dlc, but seasons are not it. BRING IT ALL BACK. Then we can have new players that see it as a very long game apealing game.
Sorry to disappoint but Destiny is done and is no hope. All the real good people left in D1. Most of the special grind is gone, and elusive weapon skins, guns, and armor just drop fast now. And let's not forget Eververse.
I have a suspicion that all the Into The Light content with Onslaught the weapons and everything were prepared for 10th Anniversary but released early to mitigate the disaster of Lightfall, it really feels like we got 10th Anniversary early with Into The Light.
It not a suspicion it's truth. Look at the timeline. Lightfall had 6 months of "dead air" and In to the light/onslaught would be good ways to bring back all the good retired gear. last 2 times that we had long seasons was season arrivals decent season with nice replay loop and the witch queen but we had 30th anniversary to fill that gap. Whoever is the one managing content over there needs to be fired and shamed.
That wasn't the "veteran" set i was hoping for. More like "heres the shit we had collecting dust and never wanted to put in the game" All of that armor looks fucking awful. Give me the set that was used in the 1st live action trailer for destiny. Thats a Veteran set.
You can guarantee if Bungie did a Destiny 3, Bungie would spend the entire D3 lifespan reissuing content from D2. This is why I don’t think D3 will fix anything.
Seven years in and they are still bringing just now back the oldest of Exotic weapons, I fear you are right. If Bungie was to ever make a Destiny 3, it needs to be incredibly distinct from the current state of Destiny (location in time or space or whatever) and they need to reserve these "callbacks" to only the most exclusive of things like Gjallarhorn, not Trespasser or the Queenbreaker or Red Death or old Destinations and Raids
I just want a different genre for d3 but with the aspects that we love about destiny. What I mean is more survival exploration based game maybe set as a prequel
If they don't fix the underlying problem, bad management and uninvested devs, it won't. It will just be the carrot and stick cash grab version 3 that it's been for so long now.
> is tired of everyone complaining about the same valid criticisms about the current state of bungie's neglect > goes on to complain about the incredibly underdeveloped 10 year anniversary pick one
Bungie's ability to leave so many players fatigued to the point where their grand finale is the least profitable expansion yet is something that should be studied by the entire gaming industry. Generally, when people think of the concept of "bad product = financial failure" the logic almost _never_ applies to the most famous brands, yet Bungie somehow managed to fail financially even with a GOOD product. Bethesda has thrown away almost all of the goodwill of their community after several underdeveloped game releases that are clearly just shameless cash grabs, yet Starfield was still one of the biggest commercial successes the company had ever seen. Apple spent a decade dragging their feet on product quality compared to their competitors, and they still remained one of the most profitable tech companies in the world. How? _Name power_ - At a certain point, a company just becomes too big too fail, no matter how many terrible business decisions they make, simply because there are so many customers who will still buy their products no matter how expensive they get. Bungie had that power for 20 years, and their leaders finally managed to ruin it.
Final Shape wasn't even that good. It was mediocre. But destiny players are so used to terrible content that anythhing better than that seems incredible
@@tomekk.1889 Agreed. The story was a surface-level Redditor hackjob, no moments were earned, dialogue was awful and everything felt like creatives had actually given up. Missions were not fun, combat encounter design was severely lacking as usual for the past few years, new enemies were pitiful. UI got somehow even worse, didn't think that would be possible but they did it. There was a lot of stuff, and most of it just wasn't good. I'd probably still be playing if I liked it, but me and my friends checked out completely. Not because of some sense of story completion, but because of knowing it's never getting better.
@@SaddleSniffers4000 Finally someone who gets it. The saddest thing is I genuinely think this was the writers' best effort. The whole first 4 missions of the story should have been entirely cut and replaced with something else. They're terrible. Zavala's transformation was also pointless. They just needed to force in some conflict to push the story forward. It was not natural. It also feels like Targe's death meant nothing to no one. They barely react and Zavala gets over it very fast. I could go on
I still want sparrow/ skimmer racing league to make a comeback in Destiny 2 it’s really the only thing left from destiny 1 aside from bringing back a remastered campaign for the taken king and rise of iron maybe also bring back the wrath of the machine raid then it’s bringing back the red war campaign forsakens campaign and the leviathan and crown of sorrow raids as well then moving forward I would like to see something more done with siva maybe a subclass and advanced weapon and armor crafting where they do away with the relic and make it a feature you access from the collections tab
What they should’ve done is update and upgraded Dares of eternity Edit: How I would do it 1: add new bosses, since we face fallen as opposing “contestants” why not a boss. Imagine facing off against Skolas or the archon priest. 2: new mode that’s like a heroic version called “all or nothing”. Increased enemies, loot and difficulty on bosses. (Like when crota duplicates himself it’s now 6 instead of 3, or the vex boss’s deletion walls appear on the left and right sides) and once you defeat the boss you can “double it” by fighting a taken version of it. 3: New weapons and armor that act like references to old armors. Get legendary versions of exotic weapons. (Universal remote = The All Controller, Icebreaker = Frost Cutter, first curse = Vital Oath). Imagine getting armor that looked like the Thagomizers or the Mauler Gauntlets. 4: give us Ghaul, yes that albino cabal. Have him become the travelers watcher or something. Have him be a random appearance within the traveler since his ascension. Maybe it’s like the red skull becoming the soul stone watcher.
I just can't bring myself to be excited about ice breaker. The nostalgia card is just getting more and more tiring and just chasing another weapon we've already had. Leadership has led us where we are and it's such a shame for all those hard working devs that feel the effects of those poor decisions meanwhile the higher ups have golden parachutes should anything go wrong.
Icebreaker isn’t even a part of the 10th anniversary! They ran out of low cost things they can use to get players to grind the game so they just announced the next dungeon exotic, which just happens to be Icebreaker.
A set of Armor and Ornaments, and a Title to chase is really nice and all but there could have been more. .. Course, that's what we've come to expect anymore. And who decided that one Triumph in the Legend Title where we lost engrams in the Cosmodrome? I want to talk to them
As an event, it's pretty mediocre. As a 10 YEAR celebration it's unacceptable, icebreaker does coun't because thats an entire thing sold on a different thing.
@@N1GHTM4RE_YT I don't mind Icebreaker coming back, what bothers me is that it's the new dungeon exotic. It should've been the season pass exotic or something.
As an event, it's pretty mediocre. As a 10 YEAR celebration it's unacceptable, icebreaker does coun't because thats an entire thing sold on a different thing.
At this point, the apathy for the game has fully kicked in. I say this as a 10 year vet. Bungie has done the “well bring them back with X thing” so many times, it’s lost its effectiveness. They can bring back icebreaker and give it the most busted perks to where it breaks the game, and that will still be the 2nd time they have done that (at least). We also know what will happen next afterwards, aka, they nerf it after it’s done its job to rue-balance the a temporary fix, but if you know any about addiction, you know the same fix isn’t going to hit as hard the second time. Let alone the third, fifth etc… That stacked on top of all the bad news with Bungie’s Management and I am more sure than I’ve ever been the game is going to die a slow death at this point. It was great while it lasted, and I had fun, but I think I’m out and I don’t think there is away to fix the game at this point. It’s to old, apathy has set in and they clearly have issues with management to a point where people have little faith in them. That said, to anyone who wants to keep playing feel free. I’m sure I’ll hop on occasionally for some nostalgia as a time killer when other games are slow. But with Helldivers and Space Marine 2 kicking off, It’s looking like they will be a great replacement for my relaxation time.
i don't care if your negative or positive . i care that your honest i always wonder why people would want you to lie ? or that if people don't like something that people acting positive will balance the scales or something . so please chibi just be honest
Bungie doesn't care about this game, and neither should we. The only thing they are trying to do is nickel and dime the last remaining players in this player base.
All my friends stopped playing once Bungie removed $240 worth of DLC that we bought and paid for from the game. That wound still hasn’t healed from me. They said they’d love to come back if it was put back in the game, and I can’t say I blame them.
They could have done prison of elders. Brought Variks to the cosmodrome and have him host the event. 10 years is a big milestone and they definitely squandered it.
It's your channel and your opinion, people can disagree. The thing is having a good conversation about it, but people complaining that you are speaking your mind need to be quiet. That shows who is keeping the trainwreck that destiny is going, the fools that will die with the ship. Like I started over fully since my account was gone into final shape, I had a blast. But seeing the layoffs and the way bungie was taking destiny it ruined all motivation for me, like I was in fully to see the ship was sinking.... Oh well, I will keep watching you sir. Love your videos, even if they are talks like this.
It's amazing to me that people still play D2, given what all Bungie has done and said over recent years. They had a great base foundation for the game, and they have blown it completely almost every time. It's wild.
Into the light was supposed to be 10 year anniversary, but due to the layoffs and delayed TFS they took that from 10Y. this is what ive heard and it makes sence.
I would have loved to have them bring back the Prison of Elders with new rewards and now run by both Variks and The Drifter. Just imagine the voice lines we could have with those two
I’m still holding out hope that things will get better but times like this REALLY make that hard to do. Never thought I’d say this but Sony needs to take charge. At least they generally treat their employees better.
I got to say as a player who took 2 years off and came back at season of the wish, without any prior knowledge going into lightfall it was a miserable experience for a power that by the had been nerfed. Tfs was pretty good but is very expensive like you said and just makes the game too easy. Then the new season comes and failsafe is such a cute character but the story is so monotonous and boring that i just spend half the time styling my character and the other half not even on the game.
I never see this mentioned, but: Destiny 3 would mean the biggest content vaulting yet. I don’t think a severe lack of content will fix a lack of content, and in general, reinventing the wheel is a huge risk (and bungie currently has a bad track record for successful risk management-think they must have fired that department).
If you didn’t like the triumph and the toy-like/ ritual armor set then the devs probably didn’t either. It’s not hard to imagine the devs wanting to implement more into the anniversary event but upper management refusing to pour resources into something that doesn’t fill their pockets.
I've brought up basically every point here with my friends in my Discord and one of them has now blamed me for Destiny 2 no longer being fun for him. I have just become sick of people defending Bungie over and over at times. Aztecross and Datto saying we are so strong, some try-hards saying the game is overwhelmingly casual. I wish Destiny 2 could be great again, but ever since Season of the Deep all I see is nerf after nerf with no innovations to actually even try to keep their players. That's why we are at our lowest player count, why Bungie had that -45% revenue loss before the first layoffs, the fact Final Shape sold worse than Lightfall. There needs to be new leadership and actual innovation instead of what we are currently given. I'm still sticking around to finish this year, but everyone I used to play with has already left and Bungie refuses to fix things. Thanks for wasting money on a car collection Pete, you really know how to not only screw over your consumer base, but also your own company.
Yeah almost everyone I played with has either moved on, or blindly defends the game at its worst and dont play with me anymore. Game needs a FRESH reset which only a sequel can do. Them continuing to milk D2 and recycle more n more to resell is so annoying. Id be perfectly fine with them taking 2-3 yrs off Destiny to bring us a true sequel. New story, new gear, new environments, new activities, new writing team, desperately needed new engine and hopefully new n better management.
I laugh when Content Creators say the game is too easy, they think people are leaving because it’s easy. Wrong. Casuals and many players think it’s too hard, too hard to find groups, too hard to do missions with comms etc BUT the streamers have a different reality. When Aztecross or Datto needs a Fireteam they get the best sweaty teammates, players that have god rolled gear adept guns and are going full try hard because they are also “now on stream”. Its like IF LeBron asked someone to come down out of the stands and play with the team, instant try hard mode, lots of people watching, time to straighten up in the gaming chair & play pro. So the Aztecross and Dattos have wildly different experiences & think “game too easy”. I disagree. All my friends literally said “they can’t be bothered” with destiny 2. It’s all too much, too much grind, too many steps, too hard content, raid callouts in every activity, it’s no longer fun.
@@EchoDoctrine Agreed. Been saying that for a long time. Even went to forums that agree with me and some random comes in pretending the game is the easiest in the world. Then he gets ratio'd.
Imagine if they brought back Red War campaign and gave us 3 exotic rewards. Invective for beating it normally, Pocket Infinity for beating it on Legend and Icebreaker for beating it on Challenge mode. Have the OG promo armor as rewards through critical moments in redwar campaign. Then Wrath with a reworked SIVA Zhalo wouldve been amazing.
The content vault, the lying about nerfs, and the cutting of content to sell it in small chunks. I love my girl Tess, but she shouldn't be the only way to obtain the best looking in-game items.
I would've been happier if they gave us the character creation armor from d1 or the argus armor instead of what we got, but yeah there should be way more content than just an armor set, and one gun.
Time gating is what has hurt this game bad. However episode 2 in regards to bringing new players in removing this is huge and hope for the future of this game does look bright with what’s to come. I have a good feeling we’re in for a bright future remain optimistic 🙂!
The sad thing is. Our whole clan got on for the new raid and completed it as a team. The last time I touched the game was 2 weeks after the dlc dropped.
What i also dont really like is that we get icebreaker as the 10th anniversary weapon, but it is being put inside the dungeon as (probably) the exotic drop. As much as the icebreaker is cool and all having that be the exotic for the new dungeon while we could have gotten something much cooler really downs the hype i had for the new dungeon.
I don't get that additude. Dont complain about the bad product you spent money on because i like it. Grow up kids. Criticism is not hate. Its constructive. If you sont tell them what they did wrong they wont change.
people are just complaining like its doomsday and they just got scammed for their life savings. people have right to be mad but 50% are whining over the dumbest shit
I was really disappointed at the end of the mission quest line. We never got a final fight with her, we didnt get the echo back which is the point of these "episodes" All it this season was two same sex couples being all emotional. I just want d3 maybe a prequel thats more survival based with two factions to choose iron wolves and warlords and maybe we could pvp on sight
I feel like it should be obvious that Into the Light was supposed to be the Anniversary event. But preorders for the final shape were abismal so they used it to hype the community. It worked. Everyone was hype but now there is nothing for the 10th.
they come up with awesome shit like into the light and dreaming city roguelike activities but never expand or build upon them, the onslaught grind was fun because there was truly something to chase, getting a limited edition god roll to drop felt like something we were missing from d1, that excitement to finally get something that might aswell be rarer than an exotic by this point. I feel as though devs want to expand on these things but never can when they have barriers set before them, investors who they need to talk to before they implement anything, leadership who answers to said investors who care only for their own gain. I just cannot see this game going anywhere unless the current leaders resign and are replaced with people who truly care, but when was the last time a developer became a lead developer in a tripple A studio? I just cant think of any time that its happened in the same company
They would need a super epic beginning for a Destiny 3. Hard to top the final shape. Destiny 2's beginning was Dominus Ghaul and the red legion attacking the last city and the gaurdians losing their light and regaining it back. How would they top this opening with a Destiny 3?
It drives me nuts, how Bungie hit a home run with Final Shape but literally the episode dropped and we were back to the usual crap content. And it’s like they put no effort into the 10th anniversary
It’s like the pale heart is an amazing space that they aren’t building on and instead will be like many other cool set pieces and that are left behind and abandoned instead of expanded upon I’m surprised after all these years the only seasonal effects we ever got were relegated to the tower
@@CIII__ The overworld formula in Pale Heart should be used across all the locations to replace the lame patrol system. The gameplay loop stays fresh even when it's become familiar
@@sethious1 we can blame corpo but bad writers and abysmal seasonal models that don’t build on any activities that are ripped away can’t be all their fault Why hasn’t onslaught got any content? Coil 2.0? Raid return schedule or why is difficult to do so? Dungeon loot refresh or prophecy the only one?
it would’ve been so cool to have some small quests with old vendors to get d1 sets and weapons. Queen’s Wrath, Efrideet and Iron Lords, Shiro-4 and Vanguard etc.
So I always had the theory that Into the Light was actually supposed to be the anniversary content. It really plays with Nostalgia, cause the content they released, was A LOT for an impromtu "we gotta get players back in the game" update
They should of added origin perks on all the guns in Vault of Glass, and Loot Cave dungeon for the 10th anniversary, and made two of the triumphs to complete them both in a fireteam while wearing all the 10th anniversary armor. Icebreaker should of been the reward for doing all of the triumphs, a quest shows up in your mail box and you find it in a modified Lost Sector in Russia.
I can confirm this. Lightfall was the last DLC i bought. And i am from the beginning on board but this DLC was the last straw. Never touched Destiny 2 again after this.
They said they wanted to do more into the light stuff, 10th anniversary wouldve been the perfect opportunity to bring back prison of elders since thats similar to onslaught, could've added weapon focusing for og prison gear like Her Benevolence. We even already have a prison arena from a strike... What a shame
I have been playing destiny 2 almost 7 years... love the game see all the good n bad. Some free updates n free stuff I love dungeons very much.. Keep your heart were needs to be.
I only started playing destiny this year and I'm having a blast but then the 10th anniversary dropped I grinded for 2 days for the the title I was super excited when finished only to find out I needed to be rank 8 or higher to achieve it 😒 the anniversary in my opinion isn't fair to new players
I recall the developers saying that some content from 'the future' was ultimately pulled forward for Into The Light with the delay of TFS, and it seems to line up that a lot of that content was intended for this anniversary. With all of the (good) fanservice like Superblack, fan favorite weapons, and Pantheon, it would match. To Bungie's credit, not many franchises can sustain either annual releases or a live service content style and still manage to reach a 10-year anniversary. Maybe Call of Duty, but those games seem to hit more internal milestones, like "the tenth Black Ops game" or "the fifth Sledgehammer or Infinity Ward-developed game". And against Bungie's credit, with the deletion of practically all content from the first two years of the game and all of the years of content in seasons - how much has the game truly been sustained? I like your ideas of adding things like Skywatch or First Light as an Onslaught map or additional Onslaught weapons or vaulted content or even a weapon refresh for any of the older weapon sets like the Moon, Europa, GoS, or VoG - adding Pantheon back, even in its initial form, could have been a show of good will. With the second wave of layoffs after the way this episode has been going, it really feels like Bungie is limping along the finish line, and there are still months and months of episodes until the next expansions! If Bungie is in this much trouble hot off the heels of an acclaimed expansion, things are not looking good. Against your point, I don't necessarily think the problem lies with people not being interested in "buying games that go back and forth" - TFS managed to hit critical score highs AND was within 1-2% of the lifetime Steam peak, server issues included. TFS is a finale for a story, a natural point to leave the game (though the quality of these episodes isn't doing Bungie any favors).
there is another game I'm playing that is also having a 10th anniversary event, and for that they decide to have the ENTIRE YEAR full of events. 1 event per month, tons and tons of stuff for players, there has never been a greater time to start playing or to come back. and here on destiny we have 1 nostalgia card, some armor that looks mediocre (it should have been the exact same armor sets from that first trailer) and a title. amazing
I got tired of spending $100 on DLC and season pass only to realize that I have to spend more money if I wanted the cool armor/weapon skins. I also got tired of the grind and the same old formula every season. I quit playing over 2 years ago now and have never looked back.
Absolutely I agree with you. You should watch “Warframe is a wake up call” seeing that video really made me rethink my passion and dedication to Destiny. Honestly, it made me ashamed and sick to my stomach to be a Destiny player but they did it to themselves.
The Final Shape was fantastic and amazing. Once it got to the episode story and gameplay, it became like most of the other boring Seasonal content I skipped. I've been with destiny since the dark below. Bungie management needs to be changed. They fired many incredible devs, because of their own mistakes.
The engram part on the cosmodrome basically pissed me off, so I quit doing the challenges. It is horrible! If you equip the veteran class item, then equip the ornament at the same time, it counts as two, so you can put on an exotic armor piece. Still is a load of huey!
I have played this franchise since the VERY beginning… and even owe my life to it, and right now… I can’t find a valid reason to play it. I hate how far it’s gone down hill. I PRAY TO GOD that the developers and the administrators find a way to bring this game back to life.
Місяць тому+2
"Being tired of the negativity" is being in denial. As long as Destiny players don't accept the fact that the 10 years are done, from now on and AT LEAST until the end of the decade Bungie is simply going to wing it whilst trying to once again fight the drama that surrounds the company, nothing will really change. It's we the players, we the *PAYING CUSTOMER* that need to let be made very clear on what we will tolerate and what we will not coming forward. I've done my ten years like I promised and from now on if they want money they'll have to earn it.
The only thing that can get me back into Destiny is if they bring back the content we paid for that’s still locked in the DCV. I unfortunately bought TFS and played just enough of it to void my Steam return window before I got bored and already started to feel pressured by FOMO of a new episode launching so soon after I bought it. I honestly think the phase of my life dedicated to grinding looter shooters for days or weeks at a time are over.
Dude, this game is almost 8 years old. I've gone through so many changes. I've graduated high school, been dumped, and went homeless twice. The point is we need a destiny 3. 1 game can not support itself for 10 years
Yes it absolutely was. All the sunsetting and restarts then undoing it all. We interacted with the witness for like 45 min of content frfr. The 10 year big bad we all waited for was killed with friendship like some care bears.
No! Because it was the perfect reflection of how Bungie has always disrespected the player’s time. So a mind numbingly boring grind for the Legend title was an absolutely fitting celebration of 10 years of Destiny 2!
OW getting a lot of criticism too and a content creator said something that I think totally applies here “The art (and backend) teams deserve a handwritten apology” The complete fumbling by the balance and story teams has been abysmal for years Truly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
I'm basically just tired hoping, tired of them giving us hope, after so many "yeah don't worry everything's gonna be fine, they'll cook soon" it's exhausting. Witch Queen really elevates that hopes after the bleak of sunsetting and dcv we've experienced in Beyond Light, but after that, is just half-baked after half-baked with their under-delivery motto that keeps haunting this game to reach its highest potential. This game is done.
it also locked me out of free teaming back to the tower on my hunter + warlock unless i fully complete the campaign on both characters. which is upsetting as i was able to travel back there before the update for this dropped.
10th anniversary would’ve been fun and not so underwhelming if we had all heavy recharge, super recharge, the beloved siva raid coming back. Make it a time where guardians are just OP as well for a while so that casual and hardcore players can just jump in relax and have a blast. They could’ve even brought back the old school raid armor for doing raids on hardcore mode. Even brought back the old D2 raids as well. But nah here’s some crappy armor and a title with a really buggy quest
Honestly, at this rate the only thing that could actually possibly bring me back to D2 is removing Prismatic. I liked the idea of it in theory but I knew it was gonna be a problem and while I had a lot of fun with it for the first day or two after I unlocked it, I got tired of it FAST and immediately switched back to my other Hunter subclasses. Just having everything (mostly) at your disposal at all times just feels like it removes any uniqueness subclasses had. It feels dumb that I can be have Golden Gun equipped while busting out Invisibility spam like I'm using Nightstalker or be on a Strand super and causing scorches/ignitions like I'm on Solar Hunter. It feels like one of the major aspects of the game (deciding which subclass is best for whatever scenario you're in) is now gone and overall I prefer the specialized builds of the base subclasses. Before anyone says "well, you can just use the regular subclasses still", I absolutely did before I quit. You also have to realize that in a lot of instances, doing that instead of just using Prismatic is just nerfing myself. Now maybe they've nerfed it since I quit the game but as a Hunter main, Prismatic was basically the "go-to" for every meta in the game at the time.
As a returning player I really hoped the 10th anniversary would have agnowledged destiny 1 or the beginning of D2 in some way. Like reintroduce the farm as a social space (maybe with a quest or something else in game) or add a strike from D1 thats changed. SHIT THEY COULD HAVE FIXED THE TOWER
I think one of the biggest issues is that whatever bungie will put out, it will never be enough to get people playing again. It has to be a brand new thing with tons of innovations or else it will just be the same thing over and over again
i agree, as a destiny 1 player all the way from beta, im just tired of it now, 10 years i have committed to this game and i get this as the 10 year anniversary? come on, I am just done. love your videos as well. been watching for a bit now
The Taken armour sets would have been nice , some of the glowing shaders would have been awesome too , bring back the PRISON OF ELDERS. some crappy OG blue armour sets that nobody will ever use won’t get me excited to play
you forget every Destiny launch has been terrible and you honestly expect you wont be regrinding for the same weapons for a third time. you cant honestly say to my face a D3 will fix everything. Is D3 going to be $60 again? or the free to play model bc THATS really working from them, right guys?
As someone who loved destiny and spent probably thousands on merch, DLC, silver, etc. over the years, Lightfall really was the last straw for me. Insane how a DLC can be that bad that I just tune out the game entirely. I played the final shape and it was not really that good! Campaign story was really bad, no lore was explained, the missions themselves felt like they were all the same, and no one even died! I’m kind of sick of hearing that final shape was good just because lightfall was 10x worse.
For someone who has over 700 hours in the game, I feel like all the negativity is well deserved, every time I say they are reusing old content someone will called me negative, grifter or something along those lines, it’s time to let this game go, every “new” weapon are just reskins, every “new” seasonal activity is just another grind or reused mechanics, the story is just nostalgia bait, and nothing creative at all, if a live service game is built around coop and semi competitive gameplay sometimes, having only 20000 to 30000 players at the same time is not good, if you’re only blaming the leadership and Sony for this dogshit, at what point should we start blaming the devs too? The executives and the CEO didn’t “decide” to not add Crucible map until the end of Lightfall, they didn’t decide the build diversity is lacklustre, they didn’t decide the Titan melee should be nerfed, if someone got laid off, it was probably for a good cause, it doesn’t matter what your opinions are, it matters what the opinion of the majority is, and just by looking at the player count and the “new” content, not to mention the horrendous monetisation, I think the general public had already decided this game is not worth their time and money, they never cared about the game or the lore, they only ever cared about money and only money, and it’s not just the leadership and Sony, and don’t talk to me about how “limit” the budget is or how tight the schedule is, it’s bad leadership, bad working environment, incompetent devs, toxic positivity, flat writing, boring story missions, I loved the game but it’s time to let this shit go, and no Bungie is not the company 10, 15 years ago, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sony shut down their support for Bungie in the next two year or so, it’s just not working man, and sometimes we all need to let things go or just play another game.
As a few different people have said,I think ITL was originally supposed to be the 10th anniversary but got brought forward because of the lack of pre-orders for TFS. I really cant see any other reason why they would put so little effort into what should of been a big moment for the studio
Honestly as a Destiny veteran I just feel so burnt out and disappointed about recent choices. I just completely dropped off the game because of recent issues.
Yep, it is. I literally just played Iron Banner for a couple hours just to farm engrams and buy Iron Banner armors for transmog purposes. There's no point in playing the game for "recycled loot". They should add new armor sets, new weapons, and new gun models to entice their players.
Hope For The Future I Guess...
true, it's getting out of their control
It once belonged to us.
Honestly, I reckon you probably have a point.
@@Silkie_Dragonit makes sense with the whole idea of the shaxx hall and all the returning weapons tbh
You might be correct. If TFS came out in February. Into the light probably would've been packaged as the 10year
I thought it was stuff for Final Shape that they bumped forward to bring players back/in.
One of the hardest things I had to come to terms with is that Destiny did not love me as much as I loved it.
I’m sad at the fact that Ice breaker coming back isn’t enough for me to care about destiny 2 anymore

@@lachydragneelThe Dark Ages, yes. Apparently that'll be the phone game which is genuinely depressing to hear if true
Stop being so prophetic right this second.
If they don't fix the underlying problem, bad management and uninvested devs, it won't. It will just be the carrot and stick cash grab version 3 that it's been for so long now.
how can people be tired about negativity in the game if the game it self is bringing negative content????
Military grade copium. And the reminder of negative stuff breaks their illusion.
what you just said is poetic.
How does the negativity coming from the game make people any less tired of it?
> is tired of everyone complaining about the same valid criticisms about the current state of bungie's neglect
> goes on to complain about the incredibly underdeveloped 10 year anniversary
pick one
No company is ever too big to fail.
It's because bungie has already lost so many players that not many were left to buy it
Final Shape wasn't even that good.
What they should’ve done is update and upgraded Dares of eternity
Edit: How I would do it
1: add new bosses, since we face fallen as opposing “contestants” why not a boss.
@@jackmack4181 That and done some unvaulting. Bring back old strikes, Crucible maps, and Gambit Prime with each of there respective loot drops.
Idk why this just reminded me of how much I enjoyed doing POE runs in D1 🥲
I just can't bring myself to be excited about ice breaker. The nostalgia card is just getting more and more tiring and just chasing another weapon we've already had. Leadership has led us where we are and it's such a shame for all those hard working devs that feel the effects of those poor decisions meanwhile the higher ups have golden parachutes should anything go wrong.
Icebreaker isn’t even a part of the 10th anniversary! They ran out of low cost things they can use to get players to grind the game so they just announced the next dungeon exotic, which just happens to be Icebreaker.
They literally had it behind a glass wall

At this point, the apathy for the game has fully kicked in. I say this as a 10 year vet. Bungie has done the “well bring them back with X thing” so many times, it’s lost its effectiveness. They can bring back icebreaker and give it the most busted perks to where it breaks the game, and that will still be the 2nd time they have done that (at least). We also know what will happen next afterwards, aka, they nerf it after it’s done its job to rue-balance the a temporary fix, but if you know any about addiction, you know the same fix isn’t going to hit as hard the second time. Let alone the third, fifth etc…
That stacked on top of all the bad news with Bungie’s Management and I am more sure than I’ve ever been the game is going to die a slow death at this point.
For me they could bring back zhalo and the original 3 exotic swords and I wouldn't care
i don't care if your negative or positive . i care that your honest
i always wonder why people would want you to lie ? or that if people don't like something that people acting positive will balance the scales or something .
so please chibi just be honest
Bungie doesn't care about this game, and neither should we. The only thing they are trying to do is nickel and dime the last remaining players in this player base.
I have been playing since destiny 1 beta...it is tough to play destiny 2 nowadays.
All my friends stopped playing once Bungie removed $240 worth of DLC that we bought and paid for from the game. That wound still hasn’t healed from me. They said they’d love to come back if it was put back in the game, and I can’t say I blame them.
You idiots at like you would be playing it
They could have done prison of elders. Brought Variks to the cosmodrome and have him host the event. 10 years is a big milestone and they definitely squandered it.
If the armor was actually the OG pieces I'd like it, maybe I would've bothered to try and grab it lol
Into the light feels like it was meant to be the 10th anniversary event.....but got pulled forward to boost sales for TFS. Who tf knows though.
Player's: Isn't this the 10 year anniversary
Bungie: Oh no, you misunderstood. We meant it would take 10 years.
I would have loved to have them bring back the Prison of Elders with new rewards and now run by both Variks and The Drifter. Just imagine the voice lines we could have with those two
We got the 10th anniversary early. I am pretty much sure Into the Light was 10thA content. If you consider it this way... It was pretty decent.
Feels abt right, since there's too much of a gap between LF and TFS, they just spilt and put into the light early
I’m still holding out hope that things will get better but times like this REALLY make that hard to do. Never thought I’d say this but Sony needs to take charge. At least they generally treat their employees better.
Hello there
I like your style
I got to say as a player who took 2 years off and came back at season of the wish, without any prior knowledge going into lightfall it was a miserable experience for a power that by the had been nerfed. Tfs was pretty good but is very expensive like you said and just makes the game too easy. Then the new season comes and failsafe is such a cute character but the story is so monotonous and boring that i just spend half the time styling my character and the other half not even on the game.
Today I finally got euphony
I can’t even get a group together to raid…
I can't even care anymore I never finished the raid at 3th encounter random team sucked. Now i've been enjoying tfd.
Congos guardian ^^
Enjoy the exotic
Nice gameplay man, thats exactly me, when I dont know what to do anymore in the game :D
10 is also the amount of employees at Bungie
Shouldn’t have made a deal about it being a tenth anniversary event and just released a title quietly because people will naturally call this shit
when they got rid of the OG music team that also made people give up right there
What i also dont really like is that we get icebreaker as the 10th anniversary weapon, but it is being put inside the dungeon as (probably) the exotic drop. As much as the icebreaker is cool and all having that be the exotic for the new dungeon while we could have gotten something much cooler really downs the hype i had for the new dungeon.
I don't get that additude.

I was really disappointed at the end of the mission quest line. We never got a final fight with her, we didnt get the echo back which is the point of these "episodes"
All it this season was two same sex couples being all emotional.
It’s like the pale heart is an amazing space that they aren’t building on and instead will be like many other cool set pieces and that are left behind and abandoned instead of expanded upon

I agree. Totally a missed opportunity by Bungie. No event even is mind blowing.
A Destiny 1 4K Remaster was too much to hope for
So I always had the theory that Into the Light was actually supposed to be the anniversary content.
I’ll load up D2, sit staring at the character select screen for a min or so, then alt F4. The 10 yr event was a slap in the face.
I 100% feel, and have done, exactly this.
Compare the Destiny 10th anniversary with WoW 20th anniversary, Bungie is lame asf right now and is so sad
Destiny 3 will not solve any problems. They need to lock in on d2
I only started playing destiny this year and I'm having a blast but then the 10th anniversary dropped I grinded for 2 days for the the title I was super excited when finished only to find out I needed to be rank 8 or higher to achieve it 😒 the anniversary in my opinion isn't fair to new players
I grabbed the armor saw the the event chore list and said "yeah thats good enough"
1 event per month, tons and tons of stuff for players, there has never been a greater time to start playing or to come back. and here on destiny we have 1 nostalgia card, some armor that looks mediocre (it should have been the exact same armor sets from that first trailer) and a title. amazing
Bungie managed to steal the L from the jaws of Victory
I agree about everything but the not blaming devs , devs have a HUGE hand in the modern problems we're seeing.
With the power of friendship and lazers... Pew pew pew
Vault space is also needed. There’s over 8000 items in collection vault space can do that too.
This 10th anniversary event is better than the GTA V 10th anniversary that Rockstar did. Neither are great, but Bungies is better.
No! Because it was the perfect reflection of how Bungie has always disrespected the player’s time. So a mind numbingly boring grind for the Legend title was an absolutely fitting celebration of 10 years of Destiny 2!
10 years and Bungie still doesn't feel like they know what they're doing. Rollercoaster ride for 10 fucking years.
OW getting a lot of criticism too and a content creator said something that I think totally applies here
“The art (and backend) teams deserve a handwritten apology”
The complete fumbling by the balance and story teams has been abysmal for years
Truly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
I really used to enjoy playing destiny 2 but I gave up a month into lightfall and never went back
10th anniversary would’ve been fun and not so underwhelming if we had all heavy recharge, super recharge, the beloved siva raid coming back.
Transcendence I believe was the plan for the 10th anniversary but was moved up after the panic before final shape released
Bungie saying “There’s more to come” is the equivalent of Count Dooku saying “This is just the beginning” - no one gets excited.
I gave up on destiny 2 a long time ago. I don't really care anymore, but I wish I did. I honestly hope the leadership at Bungie completely fails.
Getting necrochasm was a pain to get
you forget every Destiny launch has been terrible and you honestly expect you wont be regrinding for the same weapons for a third time. you cant honestly say to my face a D3 will fix everything.
No one ACTUALLY wants a destiny 3
