We Are Big Kids and we visited Snowdonia for a spot of sight-seeing and steam trains. The town of Llanberis is the place to go if you wish to head up Mount Snowdon or take part in the ancient past-time of Tourism whilst in Snowdonia. Here there are no shortage of places to help lighten your wallet.
In our opinion, this was the least exciting of Snowdonia's railways and probably the one you should avoid, unless you're desperate to see and ride on one of the few remaining narrow-gauge steam trains used in the Welsh slate mining industry. We suggest you save your money and go up the mountain railway or head across Snowdonia and try The Welsh Highland Railway that travels from Caernarfon to Porthmadog, both options are far more interesting and exciting.
However, whilst you're in the area, the Castle featured briefly in this video is worth a brisk visit. Dolbadarn Castle, a fortification built by the last Welsh Prince Llyweln the Great, overlooks part of the railway and has views of The Electric Mountain and the two lakes, Llyn Peris and Llyn Padarn.
You wont even notice having a crash.

I commented on this video that had been uploaded to a different channel and what I said on that comment still applies, me and my family had a great time at the Llanberis lake railway , the 4.2 star rating should show to you that this railway isn't lacking or poor in any respect, I find your views of this railway pretty offensive as they are clearly not justified. I have some smashing memories of this railway and the fact that anybody can't see that it's one of Wales's best attractions completely amazes me :(

I’ve seen a slower train at a old train station 40 years later it’s still there hasn’t moved, not even one millimeter.

There was a massive steam loco with 6 cylinders but it could only go 5 mph.
