You can trick the engine into "thinking" its warm by placing one of those emergency hand warmers onto the engine temperature sensor . lift engine cover and you will see a small grey sensor in the front / center of block . you can also get a rag soaked in boiling water then wrung out place around sensor wait 20 - 30 seconds and start the engine . with the wet rag method the auxillary belt might "squeel" for 10 seconds if water has dropped down onto it . Hey presto and your up and running. Hope this makes sense and helps . Enjoy the rest of your travels. kocham wszystkie twoje filmy. Dziękować

I trick my car by telling it I'm going to the supermarket, but get it delivered instead. What's the world coming to, when you need to trick your car into working? LOL. Good tips, though. I'll definitely try them next time.

You're welcome. But I'm starting to have a different take on my Land Rover, in the wise words of Mr. Miyaggi, "Best Defence - No be there."
I cannot remember a car that has given me so much trouble in my entire life. Ha ha ha. It's a great car, when it works.

On the edge of my seat. Don't think I've ever seen the glow plug lamp in my Toyota but that is in Australia.

In this modern world of persuing energy efficiency, I suggest Land Rover simply have a bulb that indicates the car is working correctly and we assume it's broken until that light comes on.

Great video guys, very entertaining. I had all 6 glow plugs changed last year, starts great with no lumpy tickover when cold now. I also have the remote for the FBH but that is hit and miss even after a decoke and new burner etc inside. I would definitely invest in a higher amp charger. I have the Ctek 25amp which is pretty quick on the 100amp batteries.
Hope you're both well and enjoyed your trip away, it looked amazing!

When I first got my FBH going I noticed the exhaust muffler would leak a lot of smoke, right into the FBH air intake. I proved this by creating a temporary barrier between the two, using a sheet of PVC, which made the FBH run really well. Then I ordered new exhaust hose and a brand new muffler from Webasto. The muffler on my D3 was discontinued and replaced with a better one, so they must have know there was an issue.
