Rikan has plot armour stronger than beskar. Ain’t no way he should have survived like 10+ lightsaber hits to the torso from the GOAT.
Thats some bs right there. Damn.
Beskar
Rikan is wearing beskar. Know your lore.
@@vincejr2141 I obviously know what beskar is, it still doesn't make sense that he survives since some of those strikes hit the unprotected areas like the neck joint. The commander, no matter what class you play as, should have been able to kill Rikan before Sahar shows up going by lore.
@@blueeyeswhitemoron4488 At 2:25 we can literally see wrath open his guard and wail on him. It doesn''t matter if he's wearing Beskar, a competant swordsman would easily decapitate Rikan, or the blunt force trauma to his helmet would probably render him stunned and possibly blinded for a while. Rikan has such BS plot armor and I just don't care for his part in the story at ALL.
I refuse to believe that anyone walked out of this fight alive with Xithari being there
Xithari is known for leaving survivors, he just humbles them first
Spank no jutsu
May be next time
The handsome sith was carrying that fight and we know it
Ah yes, missiles 1:03 do almost nothing to beskar armor, but a punch 1:07 does, and the puncher is not hurt afterward.
It was more so the fact that the punch came *immediately* after the rockets that made it have an impact.
@@54lolman How does that work? If a military bunker is hit by a ballistic missile and not destroyed, then it should not be damaged by a bullet fired from small arms. The armor being hit by missiles and the wearer unharmed establishes it as capable of withstanding much greater force than a simple punch can deliver.
@@JohnCena-le1jj I'm sorry, I worded my response poorly. What I mean is that you are correct in that the armor or "bunker" shouldn't take damage from a measly punch if it has survived a rocket barrage.
However, the armor wasn't really damaged either from the punch. Rather the victim was very much stumbling after the barrage, and although it seemed he recovered immedieatly. No one simply survives a missile barrage without nerves and head spinning. Meaning a well placed and heavy punched immedieatly would've knocked the victim back.
In regards to how the puncher is fine after? Adrenaline combined with pure hate for a target does wonders for dealing with pain!
@@54lolman If the armor prevented the missile impacts or shrapnel from harming the wearer of the armor, then it should also disperse the force of the punch. Why should it be any different? Is the punch magical? You can clearly see that while the missile barrage caused him to stumble, he just walked right through it whereas the punch launched him backwards. If a soldier was wearing a ballistic helmet and I shot him in it with a pistol and the bullet bounced off, without staggering the soldier, then if I threw a rock at the helmet of the soldier, I expect it to also bounce off harmlessly. Instead, by the same analogy, the rock should cause the soldier to stumble backwards, as if he was not protected, suggesting it was stronger than the bullet.
@@JohnCena-le1jjYou are merging traumatic damage with stagger and balance. Those are not always synonyms in a real life fight.
Armor doesn't prevent the shockwave of the missiles from pushing you around. It may genuinely prevent trauma injury, but if you are not anchored enough, your balance is gone, which is what happened.
The was punch, two-fold, a direct hit unlike the missile, applying a focused *twist* onto the neck. Once again, unless your armor is so weight heavy or inflexible to disperse the shock, it will instead force your neck to move.
Pushing force from a fist or rock is very different from a bullet's needle level of application. A helmet usually does nothing to prevent this push. It stops traumaic damage of the impact, not anchoring that follows.
Your neck *will* move. And when your head moves without you expecting it, it ruins your balance. Doing so to someone who is already lost footing will absolutely send them reeling.
**This was how medieval knights won real life fights when they battled each other wearing genuine quality armor.** You HAD to stagger an opening, then strike at the gaps in the armor.
Now. Did the punch "hurt him?" *NO.* But he will ABSOLUTELY be sent reeling from the hit. It would be unrealistic if he didn't.
I'm not sure about this Warrior, but I was fuming during my time playing the Sorcerer. Everything felt clunky; i never casted force lightning the entire scene. In fact, my character did exactly what the warrior did. I didn't even use any variation of the force during this entire arc.
Yeah i hate how they always share the cutscenes .... its funny how the FORCE USERS forget how to USE THE FORCE in almost every cutscene for the sake of the non force users characters... or simply because its a bit more work cuz the warrior cant so force lightning and the sorcerer cant do force choke
@@georgigs From being crushed by falling debris, to letting a Padawan escape out a window by RUNNING over (Could've froze that blaster bolt from Shae Vizla and force held that Padawan). I'm tired of playing the underdog, I've been fed enough of it back with the Knights of the FE/ET. I do not need my Sorcs progression with Sith rituals and force feats to be completely neglected in the pursuit of an "all classes story," which seemingly demonstrates that they can't even conceive of making- or bothering with- independent class stories that acknowledge power differences (without proper consideration of power differences, it inherently destroys and devalues the class. The power of The Force is the sole foundation of a force user and their role in the story). I didn't play the Sith class and go through all their story content + expansions to end up a second-rate Sith Lord.
Right all these scenes and fight cutscenes um hello? Where's the force?
So... a freaking padawan force pushed the empire's wrath, the same wrath that... beated the shit out of THE SITH EMPEROR, not one, but TWICE???
I mean... at this point, you're literally the most powerful sith, and probably one of the most terrifying beings, in the galaxy
Unified story and it's consequences
I always hate how weak the player character is in most cutscenes. Atleast here, he killed someone and won a fight against the living embodiment of plot armor.
She went toe to toe with Malgus the False Emperor - arguably second or third strongest Sith of his time, force pushed the Emperor's chosen warrior and his greatest rival and only equal.......
Its safe to say she is now the main character!
@georgigs I thought it was kinda bs that she even got to knock the second lightsaber out of malgus hand. Yes, she probably got a boost in her power because of her emotions at that time, but still. Malgus could be her grandfather and fought in multiple wars against the dozens of Sith and jedi alike. Ain't no way he even struggled against a padawan. Not considering plot Armor ofc.
2:25 Sith delivered such a combo and was ready to make the finisher until he got interrupted 😂💀
2:03 Did he just beat The sith warrior into the ground? A feat even baras couldn't perform
Ofc the Baby Jedi has to thwart Xithari's attack. Nice work Georgi.
Force users suffered in this expansion the same way non force users suffered in KOTFE. The story was made with specific classes in mind and it shows.
This is....very clunky
(Ma)Clunky indeed
Wrath: I've killed like, hundreds of mandos before. Why is this guy able to resist like a hundred lightsaber strikes?
Mando: *Beskar*
Wrath: Ah, right, Plot Armor.
2:40 ah yes. Wailed on by countless lightsaber slashes (/blaster bolts for all you non force sensitive classes), STILL ALIVE SOMEHOW! NO VISIBLE WOUNDS EITHER!
2:18 hold on! Wait. Did he....did he just whistle? Through a helmet? Is that even audible? Much less possible?
Just use your mouth
Reminded me pf Power Rangers, the green one had a sword with trumpet that sounded eith helmet on....somehow
The irony; The Jedi won the war against both Sith AND Mandalorians!
SWTOR is a better portrayal of samurai in space than even the mainline movies, which was what Star Wars are conceptualized as, before adding in the more modern political blah-blah, like the Vietnam War.
Wrath: You know, I could have Force Jumped after them, but that would require effort on my part.
How are MANDALORIANS able, to go foot on foot, with someone, who beat Malgus, Arkann, Vailin AND (in this case) Baras?!
You know I just googled if the game is canon and it looks like it is.
I swear the owner of Star Wars might as well make everything canon or just literally reboot the franchise with The Phantom Menace or a little bit before that movie
2:22 Oh come off it. He is dead after so many hits and slashes with a lightsaber. All this after he's been shot to pieces and saturated in shrapnel from the rocket barrage.
His Beskar armor working overtime
Can't believe I'm saying this.....fight choreography in cutscenes peaked in fallen empire/eternal throne
THERE! I SAID SOMETHING POSITIVE ABOUT THE ZAKUUL EXPANSIONS! You happy now, metaphorcial strawman?
This feels like the Disney takeover all over again, but now its happening in the Old Republic vs. the movies.
Everyone’s much more focused on Mandalorians, Beskar, and some mary-sue female super-jedi that has no right to be as powerful as they’re portrayed than they are on Jedi, Sith, the Republic, and the Empire. They turned Malgus into a glorified Kylo Ren, dumbed down the main characters that have already done amazingly powerful things so they appear to struggle against what should be fairly weak enemies compared to how they’ve grown, the fighting is way more clunky, leaves a lot to be desired, and simply doesnt feel or look as good as the stuff we had before
*Ri-kaan sees Ordo*
*Proceeds to shoot in his general direction... And surroundings*
Some animatuons in this game are low key hilarious
1:48-1:53 what's even going on over here? Sith throws his lightsaber, mandalorian deflects.....something (or rather implied, seeing as it looks more like he's swinging at air), then gets his by.....what, exactly? Two invisible shots? And THEN your lightsaber actually lands a hit?
Do none of these warriors have grenades?
That was a serious combo
I was just glad to watch the cutscene. I felt like it was going to make me fight wave after wave. Just waiting for the next scene, but nope. Just a long cutscene. I was thankful just to sit back and let my character do all the work lol
Ri'kan is lucky that the Beskar armor he has actually works. Other wise he would be sliced into pieces by now.
Tbh this fighting scene was the best one in this game so far, even though I do not care about mandolorians
This probably came up but what outfit is the sith warrior using? Looks awesome.
Man I wish those fights would look better with some diffrent animations instead of the same one repeated 10 times made for Arcann fight.
Since when can beskar(I'm assuming thats what Rikan's armor is made of) withstand repeated lightsaber strikes? If this game gets more updates past 7.4 they need to really figure wtf they're doing story wise with this game cause its a hot mess
come on, mando vs gideon s2e8… its beskar new feature)
Since always? He should have died though the force users get plenty of chance to kill him
why would he even bother duelling them when he can choke them all out with the force smh
Ri'kan has bigger plot armor than Rey, wtf was that?
If this battle was real, how can you tell which mandalorian is on Shae vizla side and which isn't
Mandalorians recognize each other more based off the appearance of their armor than anything elts. what would confuse them would be to put them in a brawl with no armor on
More like Ri’kan CLEGANE, damn
Is it just me or does this look bad?
Its super janky. They need to seriously re-assess how they how they have fights play out going forward if they continue making content post 7.4.
I feel like the animation cycles SWTOR has been using since launch are simply outdated and too limited for doing much of the stuff they've been trying to do in the cutscenes the last few years. Also while I was watching this I was thinking "that's a lot of fighting, why can't I play thought it instead of just watch it?"
