They expect you to be computer illiterate and just go along with everything they say. If you ask any questions they freak out because they think they're losing control over the scam.
That's what happens when you have the emotional maturity of a toddler and aren't bright enough to ad-lib if they deviate even slightly from the script.

I don't get this scam. If "Amazon" calls and tells me there's a suspicious order, I can log into my Amazon account in ten seconds to check the order myself.
I imagine they have some kind of an excuse, for example that the hackers hid the order or something.
What's really strange is how they turned it into a "virus" on their computer that they must fix.
I think the excuse they used here was that the hackers duplicated the account with all the information in tact but like. You could still take a moment to check your bank online and see that there were no transactions.
@@thecatherd First of all, your account being hacked into to this extent is a matter for the police, not a random indian dude on the phone. And you most likely have an insurance included with your bank account, or your bank can easily revoke the payment/freeze your account. And if your bank can't do it, neither will Amazon.

I had a guy call yesterday and I told him I just didn’t care what was going on with my accounts I only had 6 days to live 😂 he asked who told me that and I said my doctor. He then goes onto say only God knows that mam and I said well I dreamed God told me the same thing. 😝 he asked how old I was I told him 98 and he said yeah they’re probably right 😩 he was pissed

It is so interesting to see what actually happens whilr the scammer are trying to implemant their scam. Thanks for making these videos. One called me yesterday claiming to be from the Social Security Admission. I took my time to explain how her hustle is full of lies. As soon as she called she was asking for my SSN. I manhandled her over the phone. Sick of them trying to scam people.
I got one last night. They told me the cops were coming to take me to "the jell huss, behind the curdhouse!" I told him to hurry because it was pizza night at the jail. 🍕😆 Got a quick CLICK after that!
That happened to me 3 times also the IRS scam as well. So i have 7 warrents out for my arrest. Still waiting for the police to show up.

I thank you SO much for posting these videos. I work customer service for banking. A 73 year old called me about getting an email from Norton about a charge on his account. He said he spoke to them and they said he needs to fill out a cancellation form and put in his address his bank name and bank account. Once I heard that I immediately knew that was fraud. Thanks to you I've learned something new and share it with my customers if they're worried if it's fraud or not. Well done 👏big fan by the way 😁👍

The social security scammer called me and said that my social was being suspended for illegal activity so I said excuse me what is the name under the social that is being suspended and they hung up on me 😂

Had an experience with an email scam today with my grandfather. It was extremely convincing since it looked like someone from another state had ordered a new iPhone through his amazon account. Thankfully the number provided was easily a scam number and I double checked his account and orders on my phone. Thank you for making videos like this. It’s so great to see someone calling these people out.
I know they prey on the elderly but the premise of these scams makes no sense at all, so amazon is not gonna cancel an order from an account they believe is being hijacked and the solution is remotely control the account owner's computer? I mean... who's writing these novels?

It would make more sense also with the fact that they couldn't access Edna's credit card. They could fake it by saying "I'm sorry. For security reasons, outsourced personnel cannot access customers' full credit card numbers. Only on-site personnel can do that".

I had to deal with amazon with someone actually placing an order on my account. They will never tell you any info about the other person, like the name or address of who made the order.

You're far more polite with them than I am. I just hung up a call with an amazing scammer after forty five minutes, then he called me back for another ten. All I did was swear at him and call him, his family, his country and his religion anything bad I could think of. I KNOW YT wouldn't have let that one be posted.

Thanks to your videos I save a lot of my customers daily ... I work at home for Apple. I love my job but its sad to have someone calling in to me crying over being out of hundreds or even thousands of dollars in gift cards... Scammers are still spoofing Apple’s number and trying to get gc’s or saying their iCloud is breached. I share your UA-cam with them too to educate them! Keep up the awesome work! 🥳
I got a fake Apple pop up ad a few months ago - it made a buzzing sound and said there was a problem with my computer - happily just clicking the X on the ad made it go away.
Brandi Leigh same here. I work for a credit card company and have to counsel the customers after they have already been scammed. When the customers dispute the transactions, these scammers have the nerve to fight the dispute.

I got one recently that told me I could get a better rate on my credit card debt. So he asked me all the pertinent pieces of my credit card (expiration date, zip code) in a casual conversation out of order. and then asked me for my credit card number! Just totally going for the “gusto” I was shocked!!!
