What do you lose if you wipe off Primer? Is it the SiO2? Can you apply a tradional sealant over it. I am looking for a one step finishing polish (very light cut to remove surface things like light water spots. etc) that the prep spray never can remove and then go to non-Si02 or Si02 based product.
So you should wipe off primer! You should use it like any other polish. But if you want to fully remove it with a degreasing product like Gyeon Prep to coat shortly after you use it, then you can. You are able to apply a traditional sealant over it.
Thanks for the in depth on the polishes and pads. For the primer polish as stated if someone does not have time it can be panel wiped. Will the panel wipe remove the SiO2?
You should be able to use just a single pad with primer as long as its in good shape initially. Since its not removing a lot of material and should be the light last step. Just keep cleaning it with a brush when necessary!
They do very different things. Primer is a polish that can take a coating on top after 24 hours. PPF renew is a chemical process to restore and renew old paint protection film.

Best polishing system on modern market. Like in the best times of 3M 15 years ago. IMHO.
Is Primer enough to remove an old coating to prepare for a new one?
Yes, even light polishes like Primer should remove any sort of ceramic coating or sealant when its used with a orbital or rotary polisher
Hi, if I’m using primer before applying CanCoat, how many finishing pads would you recommend using for a Ford Bronco?

With the primer does it need to be wiped off immediately
We would recommend wiping it off like you normally would but get all of it off, then let it sit!
