Yay! More Hades II, the new update I thought was really good, it's nice that you can pick which items will show up more often, but don't have to constantly switch up harvesting tools. All Hail Chaos! Consequences be damned!
That line of dialogue from Zeus in Charon's shop made me think. It's interesting that Chrono's objective is to bring the past status quo, his Golden age. He's the god of time and even he says it can't move backwards, only forwards, yet he seems to be stuck in the past himself
Good point ^ but maybe it's in that contradiction we can further support that he's lying to the mortals about the Golden Age. However, I also think he's stuck in the past.
Mel sniffing the mysterious flesh plant from the Abyss was great. I think it might be bubblegum scented. Sure looks like it. Hermes shrines are basically the Charon wells of the surface. With a delay. Gotta love our speedster. I wouldn't mind seeing more Chaos trials. Maybe the next ones are more difficult. All in all they are a good way to gather those reagents you need. The ashes, bones and psyche you got from Eris' chamber are the gifts Eris would have given you whenever you met her in the Underworld, I think. They had to somehow deliver to every player that was ahead in the game.
We had someone saying it would smell like "????" and you with bubblegum. I'm sure its odor is more pleasant than it looks. A question worth asking to the devs in some Q/A. Hermes kept busy with those work orders! I found it they get more challenging, so they may be worth watching after all! Oh right, the patch notes. How oddly nice of you Eris.
I'm glad you chose Hestia's Soot Sprint; I've read that it's good against Eris. You only have 8 more keepsakes to get; I think you're only missing: Icarus, Heracles, Circe, Hecate, Moros, Aphrodite, Hestia, and Hephaestus (I *think*).
Hestia's sprint sounds soo good on paper. I just don't get into the habit of running into projectiles, so I find myself not abusing it as much. Her scorch may need some work, but her sprint and mana regen is top class ^ I should do a showcase of the keepsake I have so far in some run, I'm sure I have Hecate, which should be the first keepsake in the cabinet. But I can't believe I don't have Moros, you're right. I thought I gifted every person at the Crossroads already. I'm a bad friend.
22:03 I find it interesting that Mel can make idle comments to Homer where he actually responds back. Perhaps as Goddess of Ghosts she has a better 'connection' to wherever his shade is than Zag did. "Sing, O Muse" is a specific quote from the opening lines of the Iliad. If Charon could deal more damage than Hades himself with his oar, I pity whoever was on the business end of the Moonstone Axe back when he wielded it. Also, Hercules was returning from Olympus since he ascended there as a "God of Strength" after he died. This is why he wasn't around to right in the arena in Elysium, and considering his damage numbers regularly average in the thousands, Zagreus dodged a bullet.
Seems so, and Mel would've had this connection since a child. Recalled that Zag did hear Homer, but never had prolonged comments, so his connection does appear limited, or that Zagreus never cared to learn more. Can't imagine Charon's damage with a real weapon.
Considering the randomness of some encounter, I think you should keep at least 3 ambrosia for the next time you go to Olympus : - Hercules, no way to predict when he might appear. - Icarus, same thing. - Circe, she is at least the easiest to encounter. Also don't forget about the Bath salt : Dora is ready to receive one and I think Nemesis too is ready (last time you offer her ambrosia, the salt where shining a bit in the selection screen).
Good call, although I think you mean Nectar*. Ambrosia is usually end game relationships, which I expect those relationships are not available until the full game. I'll definitely want to gift my boy Icarus. I'll keep my eyes on the codex too! It's been a great help.
These videos of yours really are my favourite ! Your commentary is always welcome, and so are the little reflection times you offer us all the time towards the end. They are a great insight on things, and it’s always interesting to see how you build your strategies, your thoughts about your runs, weapons and characters. Thanks again ! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself : the most important thing is that you do what you love o/ And yeah, it seemed like one of Chaos’ voices held a higher pitch than usual ? Interesting, especially if, like you said, it shows how they might be trying to covey more emotions.
Thaanks Solo! Your thoughts been sweet as always! I'm glad there's a space for my thoughts without scattering them all in my runs for people to find like easter eggs. So I'll keep it up! Appreciate your concerns again. Hmm, if I do take a break, I'll be sure to leave it in the description or comment for a heads up! Right, I wonder if Chaos' voice changes because of all the nectar. It may be gift dialogues is when Chaos' pitch changes. Rare cases where even the Primordial Originator is pleased.
55:44 If memory serves the patch notes said these resources were meant to be a reward for handling Eris’s “boon” early on. And she’ll given them alongside the “boon” on a fresh file. Makes it easier to stomach it.
1:00 Huh, interesting that Chaos states that Nectar cannot be unmade. I wonder if they mean that its existence can't simply be undone, or just that it can't be returned to its base ingredients (like how you can't separate the eggs and flour from cake) 3:40 Well, it did say that the number of eyes on a given trial denote their difficulty, and this is a one eye trial, which is the lowest difficulty. 4:10 Oh jeez, I did not notice until this moment how much Health and Magick you have. Imagine getting the boon (I think from Hepheastus) that increases your max HP by a percentage of your max Magick. 12:03 Okay, I did not expect Chaos to just shank you at the end of the run. I figured Melinoe would walk out of the room and just be teleported back to the Crossroads. 22:45 So mote it be. 29:15 So, Heracles battles you to see who can get more money in a given fight? Interesting. 31:03 One of Heracles 12 labors in his story involved traveling to the underworld. 55:40 Eris is littering with Ashes and Psyche? Interesting choice. 26:25 And bones too?
Seems like Chaos means the flour and egg, but I see what you mean about its history being undone. Both interesting insights from Chaos tho ^ So about the difficulty, I should've taken that more seriously... Chaos was like, "Experiment over, now you can die." Ig I didn't think Hercules recently visited from the Underworld, his story may have been more recent than I thought. I mean, Icarus is still here, alive or dead?
I feel like the poof disappearance is a placeholder for at least some of these characters. Like maybe they'll create an animation of Icarus taking off and landing.
I think so too! The very least, Nemesis does a super leap off the screen, so I expect other characters to have their own custom animation. Even Hecate teleports off.
So not only did Supergiant add an additionnal route, they also added trial runs that will change the way you play? I'm gonna waste so much time on this game!
@@Hamstir4 Disregard my question. I confused my mythology and thought that in the Odyssey our main man never ventured into the Underworld himself. But I was mistaken.

It feels less bad this way! A nice compromise in choosing what kind of items you want to show up often, while gathering others along the way ^

I do think most players would appreciate that, even if it is uncharacteristic of Eris. We'll take the free loot!
Chaos trials are so funny to do aren't they?
It's all a joke to Chaos I swear.

Dune!
