i believe that meli will struggle with dora's incantation. we can't even enter elysium or the other places in the underworld, so i think it'll come in the third major update since the old places (asphodel, elysium and styx) are probably going to beam with new reagents that we'll probably receive.

1. Here’s the thing, I think it’s worth mentioning that Dora is a terrible source of information lool. That was merely her guess, but I do think she drank from the river of forgetfulness too because it would’ve been within her reach ^ 2. Daaamn, I did wonder about her name reverting back too. She jokes about how we invoke her when she plays up the scare, but I think it’ll lead to somewhere ^ I’m worried for her mental state but predict she will take it better than we thought. It may be a little underwhelming, but I think she will re-experience her memories again as Dora, not Pandora. So more of a third person perspective. This would be easier to take in as she has separated her past self for aeons ^^ I do think the ticking time bomb is better with the recent build up ^ Daeity- Shii, you think we’re going to have access to the other previous regions??? I’m not prepared for that! It would be so great seeing Zag’s other friends and their whereabouts. Patroclus is alone again :’(

True about Aphrodite ^ and glad I wasn't missing a dialogue. Oooh, I remember you mentioning Kaos and it featured Prometheus. I did not know about the Hera coup haha, bet! Shame about Netflix, bleh. If it’s great, it’ll be somewhere in my watchlist. I’m still doubtful of many more new characters appearing because I think this game has its limits. At best, they’ve only done namedrops for Helios. And feature other Nyx childrens as aspects. Promy described his three brothers but did not mention their names. I would love there to be more characters added tho ^ and that’s not including old characters from Hades 1 that have yet to appeared. Asides from the Fates, Ares, and Typhon, any more new characters than that would be extremely welcomed! You mean an alternative aspect of Demeter for example? An aspect that represents their other titles. Another example could be Dionysus representing festivities and arts, but then there’s a mythic aspect that portrays his madness? I’m down ^^

@Hamstir4 with the new "mythic" aspects having the likes of ostara (easter/spring/famine) , lilith (mother of demons), or other gods that arent too familiar in lore but are present in current media. or something along those lines.

@@daeity1 Hang on- an aspect of Lilith would go so hard! It's as you say ^ the lore isn't too familiar, yet their names have gone around enough to strike aura by mere mention! With Ostara too, the writers could take this opportunity to flex what kind of mythics they want to bring! It's just too bad it's limited down to 6 options...

@@Hamstir4 tbf zag had the aspect of lucifer with the rail gun, can't see why lilith can't appear. maybe as aspect of the skull? also with ostara, demeter could be the one to relay the mythic message. same mechanic as the old hades game, but more unique? maybe the incantations need specific reagents for melinoe to fully embrace these mythic variants since they could be vital in hurting chronos' attempt to return to the golden age?

@@daeity1 Lucifer worked as a parallel with defying the gods, or in Zag’s case, the Underworld. I do think Lilith could work in a similar manner, paralleling Melinoe's night monster side. Specific gods relaying the messages have been an interesting touch too ^ they were given a phrase and felt compelled to translate it to the player. Very prophecy-like ^ Oh, you consider the mythics to be canonically used in Chrono’s return? I still imagine them to be fan service or just for fun. I would be pleased to see how far the writers are taking the mythic aspects in the story if they do play a bigger role ^ The chances of Hecate commenting on each mythic makes my mouth water! She could comment on a force as old as Chaos when speaking about Lilith. ugh* This is too much for me, someone hold me.

Love that last bit!! And the death animation of him standing, it’s peak ^^^ some of the coolest characters in fiction have this attitude where if they are to die, die standing up. And those are people who will always fight for the cause. Promy is one of those, cause he’s the goat!! Story has been fantastic with him ^^ and we needed someone in relative power to call out the gods, and Promy fills that role.

I figured back then, he picked the lesser of the two evils and sided with the gods. Then he realized the system wasn’t working and the whole thing must be burned down. I really do like the friendly boss fight ^^ but can’t imagine Supergiants allowing us able to “beat” Ares. Maybe prove we’re good enough before proceeding, similar to Cerberus standing in the way before Hades ^^ But yes!! In an actual war, Ares, how are you feeling mang? I do think Mel self-actualizing as the goddess of nightmares may be related to when she begins to obtain Entropy ^^ so it may be awhile before we see this. Truuue, this guy would never share his face with others lool! They are really nice with their Narcie lool. I would’ve been disrespectful with my own interpretation. I’d imagine he wouldn’t be taking care of himself, looking starved, not showering, nor sleeping (do Shades sleep?), while insisting that he’s still the most gorgeous guy in the room. This is where it gets confusing. Surely Promy would have seen Chronos betraying him or being insincere with mortals ahead of time, so I don’t think he is loyal to him, despite calling him “master”. And actually, was wondering if the concept of lying would come back to this game lmao. It was Chronos that lied to Chaos. Now it’s Promy’s turn to lie to Chronos. From Nyx, “Chaos is a trickster but not a liar.” Perhaps Promy is both a trickster and a liar ^ regardless, I’m a fan of some double-cross shenanigans. That would be cool! I remember you proposing Ananke, and I didn’t catch they were a wife to Chronos, huh! If the Fates really are daughters of Ananke in this, it’s funny they dethroned Chronos. I’m skeptical how much more new characters Supergiant is comfortable adding, but we have so much added in this expansion (Dio, Athena, and Promy). So, I suppose I wouldn't find it crazy for them to add even more characters in the next region. Wonder what kept her from appearing before? One last say, I do think it’s really neat if the higher up the mountain we go, the closer we could make contact with peak deities like Ananke ^^ Daeity- Reagents from her would be cool ^^ I hope Chaos won’t be the answer to everything, so this would be good.

I would also imagine they'd give a Chaos level treatment, taking freedom to expanding the scarce lore they had. They appear to be doing this with the Fates in this game ^^

i feel like hecate WOULD bring someone else. i can only imagine that medea, circe and the rest are gathered for this specific incantation.... because i don't see her doing this *alone* also, maybe ! zag is important since meli is going to zag's room... so i also think they need the mirror that nyx gave (or something that was "useless" in the old game) OR it's some of zag's former keepsakes that now change ??? idk

I could see that ^ tho I saw Persephone better because she really loved the dogs in her farewell letter. Also! The fact Hades calls Cerberus and they can attack Zagreus is hilarious to me. But I can’t see them attacking Persephone, which is why I think she will mend their scars. Hmm, that's interesting! I didn’t think the incantation would cause more issues but would not work as intended. It won’t entirely stop his regeneration, but he would feel his abilities are manipulated in some way. He may ask Melinoe what’s up, and she may respond again how she’s his worst living nightmare and can make the effects worse. (bluffing) But I don't think people would buy Chronos being scared, so idk. Daeity- I also feel suspicious Melinoe is doing all these Titan-level incantations solo. Coven Assemble! My very serious input on Zag’s room is Melinoe will lift the weights with no issues and move on like nothing happened. (just you watch) Anton- Last battle is going to be cinema!!

@@daeity1 Right, the lack of the dress interaction seems like an odd oversight. I highly doubt they just forgot. The dress interaction likely exists, but available at a later update ^ The build up for the Summit is peak because there’s going to be so much payoff at once! - Who is causing the rumbling - How far the Surface spell can take Melinoe - Ares whereabouts - is the final boss Chronos' end game plan, or is there more, aiyah..

I adore both versions too! So luckily it sounds like it will be a win-win for us regardless of what happens! However, with the way they’re hyping, it would totally be a waste if he doesn’t play a big role ^^

I doubt she understands it’s the entire establishment that’s to blame, which includes her. It’s practically confirmed when she at one point stated that the gods rightfully rule as decided from the Fates. She believes in maintaining the status quo, not realizing that the war has been the consequence of their aeons of mismanagement. The mortals are fed up. The people challenging for better change are the ones who typically suffer ^ We see this irl with many protests met with police brutality. Activists are a threat to the establishment living in comfort that refuse to change, and Promy is one of those activist that suffered. And ofc he still fights. Interesting Nemesis seems to support Promy, but ultimately sides with the gods (mostly her mother’s wish but she’s definitely conflicted on this). No actually, I do believe she’s pro-god, I forgot if she said anything about Arachne, but my false memory says she deservingly was cursed for talking down to a goddess. This deserves a bigger rant, but simply put, there are arguments of there being “good actors” such as Hades that might have governed the world better. (definitely better than Zeus) Except I think this is a false solution. Much like in our world, we cannot depend on “good actors” to manage a broken system, we just need a good system. And how that looks like in Hades 2, I’m curious! If my reading is right, it’s whatever Promy foresaw.

Hera gets some points for this ^ I just don’t know if she includes herself in the batch of the older generations. I figured she saw herself as the exception, similar to how she sees Melinoe is the exception of the younger generations. I see the appeal to both too (this is tough)! Moros is such a dork lmao. And Icarus is such a good boy and true ^ they already seem to know each other well. It would be very cute to ship a Hades/ Nyx dynamic like the first game, so I’d be down for either Moros or Nemesis. A god pairing with a mortal is another thing too! Idk, I need a break from this loool. The easy answer is we could choose them all, but there should be only the hard way, the only way! Actually tho, I’d like to know Melinoe’s feelings more because in other dialogues, she gave off aroace vibes when speaking with Narcie. Doesn’t mean a relationship is impossible but would impact who I may pair with Melinoe.

@@daeity1 Good point, I can totally see Melinoe putting all her personal thoughts aside and focusing on the main goal ^ it’s cute to think about, but I’m refraining from labeling Mel atm for this reason. And even then, I prefer not to focus on labels, because perhaps Melinoe is figuring out her own sexuality herself and it’s all a spectrum at the end of the day! Not intending to bring aro erasure, but I think it’s fine to feel aromantic as a placeholder for people who are still figuring out themselves.

If I remember, I didn’t appreciate the Omega Special at first because spamming normal Special already delivered results. Omega Special has reliable missiles but is still a bit slow. But that’s only a problem if you insist on watching your missiles do all the work. What I appreciate now is you can Omega Special and dance around the room with dash-strikes while the missiles find their target. (that may be what you mean by movement)

I would appreciate it if Hera is aware of herself as part of the problem but I doubt it. Lmao, I only see Zeus running from Hera. Melinoe will make us proud you’ll see! Hmmm! Anton you’re cooking crazy. I forgot what he said about the Titanomachy, but this sequel is Ares’ dream. I’m sure if the first game escalated into a war, Ares would also have a thrill. I also wonder if Ares is the type that would drag out a war? Eris makes sense because she’s gained self-validation out of this war. It would make sense Ares would feel the same way, but I also could see him fantasizing a “perfect war”. A loose analogy, but imagine a clumsily dragged on chess game versus a short concise chess match with beautiful moves from a professional. I feel the battle nerd in Ares would appreciate the latter, but this entire war feels messy from the Olympians part so, maybe there is no “perfect war”. The bit about Aphrodite and Hephaestus tho!!! Hmm! There's a ton of connections back to Prometheus (dude gets around). However, seems like Supergiant isn't including as many characters with Prometheus, seeing as we haven't even got a name drop of Epimetheus for Dora's story yet. Seems their focus is on mortal issues in this game.

Oooh that’s soo specific, bet! I haven’ seen it yet, but if you ask me, there’s likely no such reaction. I think the only way Supergiant incorporates this interaction is them pointing out a Chaos gate before it opens. Such as “Cousin, there’s an ancient eye staring under us.” or something. Seeing as how they don’t even have an Arachne dress interaction with Scylla and Chronos, I don’t expect them to react in real time.

Yes, I have read Zeus actually took away Fire in response to Promy substituting the sacrifices with bones. Depending on the versions, Zeus either knew of the switch but selected the bones anyways (ig…) or he fell for it and got upset. Either way he punished the mortals for what Promy did. Not sure if that’ll be brought up in Supergiant. All Promy mentioned was the meat they’d have sacrificed to the gods. I hope Supergiant does include Zeus picking the bones. Same of Chronos’ opinion of mistaking a rock as Zeus lool. I need them reflecting on the times they’ve been duped.

Hmm! It hurts because Arachne only had one enemy, Athena. But this revelation had her realize it’s all the gods and titans that may feel this way about her. She’s succumbing to how the world actually is, and it may be crueler than she initially thought. You made me realize Hecate may have shared a similar view with Athena, but then learned of Arachne personally, thus regretting what she had done to her. That’s all to say, Hecate may have came from a similar place as Athena. I do like that Melinoe will learn a lot from this ^ wags tail*

Ya, Hephy’s circle was what I could tolerate out of his offering lool. Out of your list, I may like Zeus circle more ^ It’s true, Pokemon has inspirations from creatures and myths. I also find the object pokemons interesting, how it visually integrates into human society. Ghost pokemons are best at this ^ Chandelure as an example.

@@scarletowl4556 yess, it was a nice comparison of Mel needing more perspectives, especially from her encounters with mortals ^ I usually don’t like when a character interrupts another from asking a potentially juicy question, but it’s from the goat himself!!!
