Gravity, the weakest of the four fundamentals, but most likely the source of most aneurysms suffered by physicists trying to understand the fundamentals.
Don't stop making videos, i know youtube for some reason hates this type of science videos, but these are amazing. I learn a lot, and get motivated to read text books about science.
9:09 “What’s important in my opinion to remember is that the wavelength of light doesn’t mean it’s color it means energy it’s just that our brains and more accurately the eyes evolved to interpret this energy as color. Color is life’s interpretation of light energy not a property of light.” Thank goodness you said this so many people think that it is part of light itself. This causes a lot of people to incorrectly think that purple does not exist because it is non-spectral which irritates me to no end.
to count all the mass you need to add another effect, the pion field that is actually the biggest contributor of the 3, but i don't know much percentage wise, because it's cutting edge physics and wiki does not have that much info on it, you can find only papers (if you can find it) and books (?? i really do not know if books talking about this actually exist)
Being that the weak and strong force plus the electromagnetic force have been unified, I would suggest these as the four horsemen: gravity, the electromagnetic weak strong force, entropy, and spacetime
14:11 what if photons just have positive and negative mass in a small pattern that all of it is 0 gravity? Maybe it would not work if you do the correct measurements but an easy patch for detectable gravity would be a gravity neutralising edge but that'd be weird. Where would you find a foundation for that? If you like create a perpendicular field (you can’t visualise a 2D plane double perpendicular in 3D space) and it has like walls that are hard or impossible to cross which makes the gravity be not there. You probably don’t need infinite barriers but I am too tired to think more about it.
13:59 I might be wrong, but from how I understand it, you can't really say mass gets created here. The photon itself dosn't have mass, because it has no energy from it's own inertial systems point of view, so no resting energy. However from an outside perspective the photon has energy and therefore increases the mass of the system it is in. The overall mass of the system stays the same, the only difference being that the mass now doesn't come from the interaction between photon and the outside, but from within the electron and positron themselves.
Also there is no inertial systems from which viewpoint mass gets created here, since every inertial system, in which the photon dosn't add mass, stands still in time, so it will never experience the convertion of photon to elctron and positron.
" The photon itself dosn't have mass, because it has no energy from it's own inertial systems point of view, so no resting energy" yes photons dont have rest energy; they can never be at rest. They dont have a frame of reference.
13:12 I find it interesting, the most problematic thing about quantum physics explanations is the usage of phrases like "wave particle duality" because it borrows words from the macroscopic world where there is no good analogue for the behaviour of light. The best way to put it is light does light things, it's *as if it were* both a particle and a wave, it's not *actually* both things, it's its own thing, and we decided to call it "wave particle duality" because those are (argueably) the best words we could've used Another thing I wanna mention is about asking "why fundamental forces are fundamental", the video leaves an impression that it's like that just because - as if it were ground truth, but it's more accurate to say it's like that because of our assumptions and the way we model the universe, physics is just that. We assume space time is a fabric, we test its predictions with experiments, we get confirmation that the predictions are correct, that validates the model of General Relativity. This is why asking "But why is spacetime a fabric" is futile - we assumed so, and it predicts things very very well, we will never know it to be ground truth!
The animation in this video is hilariously awesome. The little tantrum for electromagnetism/light is so perfect when trying to explain to people how the little nuances of how and why...at some point you just have to say, "Look, im not a professor, this isnt college, just accept it and move on..."
Before this video i thought, that i'm a lot of tiny-tiny balls, that happened to be together. Now i understood, that i'm a lot of even tinier balls and magic. Mostly magic.
i was bored and looking for physics videos and my favorite physics channel uploaded a funny video about how wacky math and physics are and i love it already
8:33 shouldn’t this be the other way around? Longer wavelengths with less energy tend to the red and infrared end of the spectrum and shorter ones wavelengths tend to the blue and ultraviolet end?
Wait so the weak force can switch around particles(the quarks) and a nuetron can become a proton by ejecting an electron(an assumption i am making) and an anti nuetrino, so i assume that the switching of the particles releases energy which is a photon (or photons) and then becomes the electron and an antinuetrino so question; why does the photon get out and become an electron, is there something about the emission of photons that decide whether they will turn into electrons or positrons by any chance can we control that?
So if you can combine sin waves to make them flow inwards. If all matter is energy, all energy is Amplitude, frequency and phase, could gravity be the leaking specifically of the inward traveling wave or the sum total of the waveform of said atom would be inward motion or attraction? Would that make gravity itself a monopole but a monopole that just attracts everything.
Hey man, I like your videos but I wanted to give some consecutive feedback based on my own preference. Sometimes when you get into the hyper loud voice like around 8:10 it's a bit distracting. I often listen to these in the background while working or relaxing and the intense change stresses me out. This is just my opinion though and I hope your channel grows does well!
Well, I did mention the gravitons and the photons, but other bosons are really boring in terms of the forces, so I just wanted to leave them for the elementary particles video
After having watched the video I want to criticize one part, the Electromagnestism part of the video has a pretty hard to understand. The individual explanions are good in my opinion but it's complicated to understand how the different models operate. (Though I didn't have any previous knowledge on the subject, It's from a perspective of someone that has ABSOLUTLY no knowledge of how advenced physics work). Anyways have a good one!
Not having any prior knowledge is not an excuse for me to make explanations that aren't good enough This just means I'll have to do a better job explaining them in the future
I also felt this problem, I have some surface level knowledge on electromagnetism but the video felt disorganized in its explanation of electromagnetism making it difficult to follow
this sounds like some trying to explain fate (the novel/ manga/ anime series not the whole fate destiny fatdestiny people throw those words arround like tennis balls, well i eat balls for breakfast)
Gravity isn't a force "per se" as well but enough physicists suffered strokes to try and explain what exactly it is that it makes more sense to model it as one until the poor unfortunate innocent physics major have leveled up enough to even conceive a chance of grappling with its true nature.

Horsepower.
It’s funny how gravity (the weakest force) works on a large scale while the strong force (the strongest) works on the smallest scale
It's not really that surprising if you think about it.
actually the weak force is smaller I think due to its bosson are massive
Interesting to know
The weak force isn’t the weakest force

20:41 nope you didn't mess anything up, that's indeed the cross product
The knowledge required to put all these together into one video is mind blowing. Hands down one of the best physics channel on UA-cam ❤
The enthusiasm when you mentioned that mass does not have to be conserved is somehow contagious!
The channel is so underrated You deserve way more
i cant believe i actually found a channel with high quality physics content and not some for school type sh
Thanks a lof for your videos !! They are amazing !! I particulary like how you explain how electricity work it really help me to understand it !
amazing content and clear visuals. keep it up!!!
With the weak force I think a more efficient way to tackle it is going through it particle by particle, since each does a pretty specific thing.
i love your math videos! i hope you continue them.
