NASCAR: "Driver's need to give 100% at all times"
Chastain: Goes 150%
Other Nascar Drivers: "That's not fair! 😭😭😭"
especially denny hamlin lol
150%! What if this was for the championship I think Chastain will go 1,000,000,000%
@@jgmusic_ Normally i dis denny, but he actually complemented ross on his move
Literally nobody said it wasn't fair not even Denny please stop
I haven't heard of a driver say that it's not fair. Larson's comments are the worst I've heard. Other than him, it's mostly been "That was cool, but we should probably have a rule in place to make sure it doesn't happen again".
56 years watching NASCAR - one of the greatest last lap finishes ever. Congratulations Ross Chastain and team.
Absolutely agree. I still haven’t stopped laughing!!!
🤣
Pass on the wall. It was a genius move. 👏
Agree Jim..epic
I could not believe what I saw. Absolutely incredible. I could not stop laughing. There's going to be a rule against it next year for sure.
"The wiring in my head... Mmm, I'm an organ donor so maybe they'll study it one day." That's an amazing quote. What a legend!
Most brilliant move in NASCAR history! I have a feeling it won’t be the last time we see this.
NASCAR will be quick to outlaw that move from now on.
It’s called the 💩stain on the wall 😂 I love it Ross
@@johncarter1137 Sadly i think youre right even tho i definitely disagree. But i dont see how theyre gonna word it in the rule book, like what did he do wrong exactly? and how do you word it to not make it situational and open for shitty inconsistency?
@@ciscogarcia3463 Nice. It may be the last time we see it.
@@zumptt NASCAR likes the grey area rules where they can penalize teams they want and advantage other teams they please.
Everything about him seems like an extremely likeable person who is well articulated and obviously very skilled. This guy is going to have a career of many accomplishments.
funny I feel exactly the opposite
@@MrKeithkerr So you think he's dumb and a bad driver? Interesting take.
@@MrKeithkerr If you feel that way about Ross you must really hate that dweeb Hamlin.. am I right?
One thing that I learned today after the impressive move he made.
I was looking for video to share with my friends then saw his birthday is the same as my dad's.
It gives me a certain faith in our birth dates than the Bible.
I'm definitely a Chastain fan now more.
Like my Dad, he's got balls to try new things!
Yeah in my personal opinion he didn't race in the traditional racing groove.
But he made his own groove on the last corner and i applaud him for that!
Agree. Job well done young man.
Ross said the people in the pits came out and congratulated him, the real point is: THE FANS LOVED IT, THE CHEERS FROM 90 % OF THE FANS WERE NOT FOR BELL WINNING BUT THEY WERE CHEERING FOR ROSS' EXCITING FINISH.
I'm not even a nascar fan and I'm here
@@nonamesinenomine same haha
@@patrickshortiktok pareho tayo
A sign that ppl are bored as hell...
dude is a legend. i haven't much nascar lately. i'm gonna follow Ross Chastain from now on...
I watched him earlier in the season and he was instantly my favorite driver. So reminds me of Dale Sr.
Cool to see you here! Not a huge NASCAR fan, but that was wicked cool!
Me too
Congratulations Ross you made history today
That was the most insane but brilliant, Big balls move I have ever seen! This guy just solidified himself in Nascar history! He thought out side the box! it was awesome!
Big time bro I was flabbergasted by that incredible racing move.
This is what Nascar has always been about!
Yup
Nah he thought INSIDE the box, inside that gamecube 😂
Actually he thought of the side, not outside.
I love how ross is always super chill in person but drives like a mad man
He’s got that chaotic good ‘Florida Man’ vibes
He really does 😭😂
One of the greatest moves and pass in history. My opinion it's the greatest
Forget the “Pass in the Grass”. From here on, everybody will remember the “Watermelon Slide”! Awesome move, Ross!
nobody is forgetting sr. for this unlikeable fruit loop
🍉💨
Great name for it😅🍉
Hahaha😂. Best name ever
The Watermelon Wall Ride.
Ross Chastain is a legend and will forever be remembered for this day October 30th 2022! Ross you my favorite driver now much respect! WoW
I’m with you been looking for a driver to support ever since Tony Stewart left now i’ve got one
Yup. Kurt retired, and Ross just took his place as my new favorite.
I ain't been a committed fan of any particular driver since Sr and this guy definitely got my attention the same way Sr did back when I was first introduced to NASCAR
@@AndyToAll well sr was an asshole bully and nobody liked him until he was gone however Ross is as real of a humble and nice guy you’ll ever meet . Going with the Ross Chastain fan group is a great choice he can definitely drive .
@@AndyToAll I hear that. I was a huge Dale fan. Kurt got my attention when he began rebuilding his career in the 51. I'm proud to say I'm a fan of the last driver Dale Sr ever flipped off. Ross reminds me of Dale, as far as his driving style goes. Just pre-ordered his Martinsville raced edition 1:24 elite.
You got to wonder what his crew is thinking when he speeded up and hit the wall but he also did it with precision one of the best moves I've ever seen in NASCAR this is what you call thinking outside the box
Thinking outside the car, the race and out of the officials minds themselves
They were like all of us. Mouth wide open... brain frozen... and 1 minute later "what the.... what the hell?"
Nascar better not penalize him for that move. That was an outstanding move and didn't hurt another driver.
NASCAR said that it was within the rules.
There’s nothing to penalize.
How would this be against the rules 💀
it's a trash move
With as shitty as this car is and easy to cause potential career ending injuries. He is stupid for doing it as he could have hurt himself...not to mention it wasn't racing. Chicken shit move.
Boy just redefined 'Getting Chastaind' in one season
one corner lol
I’ve been pulling for this dood ever since I found out he is FLORIDA MAN!
if this guy win the championship gonna be the best season of the entire history of nascar.
This is Tim Richmond all over again. This guy can help save NASCAR
He has reminded me of Tim Richmond as well.
That's a very accurate statement
Just need more guys that have had to grind to get a ride and or work on their own equipment along the way before if they make it to nascar. The ones given rides because of their parents bank account, connections or political correctness have brought nascar down along with other moves Nascar has made since the 2000s.
Ross Chastain redefined the 100% rule. SEND IT!!!!
Agreed
Chastain: I am going to send it into turn 3 and 4.
Hamlin WHY ME
That car is legendary. I hope they keep it together and give it to the Hall of Fame.
Agreed, Ross mentioned they might spread any scrapped pieces to company folk's, but I'd pay to see that car as it sits... Please Justin, Pit Bull, save it just as it is... It's a treasure!
I think he should have the car! Especially if he wins in Phoenix! Give the whole car to Ross, and put it in the HOF after he dies!
I am pretty sure that Nascar has a rule you have to run at 100%. Well if that wasn't it, then nothing is. God bless Ross for doing all he could and not taking anyone out.
That's was 120% well above the minimum requirement
@@sabirtalut2311 I get your premise and hyperbole, but remember, 100% is the maximum for everything dealing with effort, except economics. Still appreciate your reply.
@@davidconley6267 What about relative performance?
This is Days of Thunder level! This man is a legend!
Ive kinda rooted for chase elliott since Gordon retired, but over the course of this season ive became a 100% Ross Chastain fan. That move at the end solidified that
Ross Chastain is the type of driver NASCAR needs. He gives 110% every race. He loves this sport & proves he wants to win!
What a move to make the Championship 4!
The man executed a perfect one-man slingshot maneuver, absolutely incredible! Also, who did he point and laugh at in the back of the room in this clip?
NASCAR has needed a replacement for the retired Carl Edwards...NASCAR now has one, named Ross Chastain.
How dare you curse him with the Carl Edwards name. Now he will never get a championship and will retire after many unfair championships
Still miss Carl. He was a blast to watch.
Ross Chastain/ HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS
The fans/ HOLY SH!T
Why
Fuggin beautiful!
Chas Tainted
i want to know Chastain's last lap time!
That's gotta be the fastest lap a Cup car has ever had around Martinsville.
I heard 18.8
18.845
Fast and quicker than the pole 🎃
Ross must have been driving 150 mph
What I heard on NASCAR radio is Ross ran the fastest lap EVER recorded at Martinsville. Faster then any pole speed EVER
Just so happy you beat Denny to the line, coolest move I can remember, been watching for 30 years.
Ross Chastain I’ll probably never know if you see my post but I need for you too know as of this Martinsville race I’am now a Ross Chastain fan. Good luck next week buddy ❗️
Ross is right that most drivers and teams aren't going to destroy their car to improve their finish. In this instance it was worth it because he's fighting for a championship spot.
The difference in money from those 5 spots or however many he took will pay for the damage.
@@NovaSixx They don't use prize money to build cars. The teams make most of their money from advertising. The purse this year from Martinsville was over $8mil, divided amongst all the teams, on a sliding scale. Sure, Ross earned more by making that move, but not enough to build a new car. That prize money is pocket change for the big teams.
Ross's move was EPIC and Genius!
Any other drivers criticizing his move are just jealous they didn't think about it or do it themselves!Larson saying he doesn't think it's a good look,is especially hypocritical!
I haven't liked larson since he said it didn't pay him enough to sign autographs. When asked numbers he was dumb enough to answer less than 100 more than 50 bucks for 30 to 45 minutes 🙄
@@1STGeneral I liked Larson because I was a cgr fan, then the Monza madness thing happened, and I don't like him anymore
I know, just lost a little respect for Larson
The only way this could have been any better, is if it was for the championship.
fire man, car in flames would be incredible
That might’ve been a bit too much for my liking
if he win the championship this move is going to be for it
If I were the driver he did that against I'd get out of the car and slug em
Well, it put him in contention for the championship, so....
The Chastain Maneuver
Amazing how Chip Ganassi’s old, underperforming team, equipment, etc. gets new leadership and goes right to the Final Four. Congrats Trackhouse crew & I know Ross is gonna drive the wheels off the car next week🎉
That was the greatest move in the history of sports!!!
That made pass in the grass look like a school bus ride
That move is instant Nascar History of the Greatest move EVER!!!!!!! HELL YEAH!!!!
Seeing him fly around the wall like that and pass Hamlin blew my mindddd. That was the purest, hardest laugh I probably ever had, I was pacing the living room freaking out for like ten minutes. I had recently become a Boss Ross fan when I went to the Bristol night race with my mom and two brothers. Since Jr. retired, I never picked another favorite driver, but since they all had a different driver and we planned on getting shirts, I went with Chastain mainly for his aggressive racing style. He'll wreck someone and own up to it while laughing at the same time, he's a funny dude. I was pulling for Bell to win the race since he's my older brother's driver, and for him to clutch up back-to-back elimination races in a must win is crazy already. Then we had Denny bumping everyone in his way to try to lock in that final spot, and to see Ross say "F*** it" and pull that was one of the best things I've ever seen. I had already counted Ross out then all I see is a smoking black and red car blowing by the 11 and couldn't believe who it was! I wish I could've seen the look on Denny's face when that 1 car passed him at the finish. So glad I witnessed that in real time!!!!!!!
You should see Denny's post race interview and Ross drives by with helmet on the roof and he had to stop the interview because you couldn't hear
I just started watching Nascar again since Dale passed. I saw today race with my brother. It was an awesome ending. I think I am A fan of Ross Chastain is old school racing. Does what ever it takes to make it... Yee Haw
Agreed
Damn..he looked like an old hot wheels sizzler car going around turn 3 and 4 …pure genius move
You from Indiana?
Ross, nascar will never be the same. Thank you.
I’ll be cheering for you to win championship
He’s so humble and appreciative to his team members. Respect!
All-time great moment, there, Ross!!
Absolutely loved this move, great stuff!! Legendary moment
he shot his shot and took it. been watching this kid for a minute, just gained a new official fan good driving bud
BEST DAMN MOVE I HAVE EVER SEEN .
Love this guy!! Cheers buddy, you deserve all the attention for what you did today! Amazing move!
I've been watching Nascar for a long time and I think that is the best thing I have ever seen, well, especially this season! Awesome Chastain, Awesome!!!
Agree 😊
LOVE it....and the fact that he bounced Denny Hambone out makes it even better.
Little denny is going to do anything he can to get Mr Chastain's finish changed
He also passed Chase Elliott in the standings too. In order of points:
Logano (win)
Bell (win)
Chastain
Elliott
Congratulations Ross, that was Absolutely Awesome, BALLS TO THE WALLS PASS will live with the best forever. You MADE THE FINAL FOUR!!
And Thanks for the MOOSE airtime, Brother! 👍
Surprised he didn't just smash a watermelon on pit road in front of Hamlin after that history making move. Chastain definitely got the last laugh on Hamlin
True and in the best way possible
I noticed Ross last year when he was driving the 42 and became a big fan. While I knew he was capable of winning a championship I never thought it would come from a moment like this I am speechless
That was the most incredible thing I've ever seen in nascar
Damn smart move, then just by coincidence he knocks out Denny, Hollywood could not have written a better script. Congratulations Ross and Stackhouse Racing.
That was so cool. just Wow..Congrats Chastain and Trackhouse.
Ross Chastain reminds me of Carl Edward's. Carl was the only driver that I've see try a move like that
At Atlanta, he tore the wall down to beat Jimmie Johnson
@@sabirtalut2311 to TRY and beat Jimmy . A valiant try , but at too large a track to work imo
Me too. They seem like brothers
@@RodgerMyers no Carl won that race look it up
@@sabirtalut2311 you remember the year - event ? I remember Carl saying he seen it on a video game and wondered if it would work . I an fairly sure the race I watched Carl wrecked and did not win .
Mad respect. How humble can a person be after pulling off that crazy finish? Very decent likeable dude
All I've got to say is WOW! We've got to name this the "Chastain" maneuver! Which has put Ross into the final 4 for the Championship, and has made Nascar history! I hope that he wins the whole shebang in Phoenix, for that incredibly ballsy move! Good On Ya, and Git-R-Done!!!
Humble comments regarding Hamlin. Respect madman. Respect.
I hope he runs that Red, White & Blue “American Flag” color scheme next week and keeps the #1 up front all day for The Cup! I had no plans to watch Phoenix, but I’m not going to miss it now!
Coolest move I ever saw, Ross is a beast behind the wheel !!!!!
I like actual racing moves. Not shocked the cheap nascar fans today find this cool and entertaining
@@josephjohn3857 That is a genuine racing moves. Is not against the rules and do whatever it takes to finish in the good position.
Another Video game Move by Ross Chastain was Amazing!!!!
Martinsville stripe! Best move EVER!
All I gotta say is you kept Denny out of going to the championship great job glad you didn't get hurt that was the best how you made it to the end
Even still, the praise he gave Hamlin here is to be commended
That move was insane!! He is now the EXTREME!! I have been watching nascar since 1977, hell Dale Earnhardt never made a move like that, the "pass in the grass" wasnt even as cool as the move Ross did. I knew i liked Ross for some reason. I knew he was an awesome driver ever since he drove for Niece in the truck series. Hes very entertaining
It's your driving style like that that makes me pull for you every race congratulations you deserve it
Just WOW! Ross you sir are Awesome
I haven’t seen anyone that gutsy since Carl Edwards.
I'm 71, nobody wants my organs. But, being a Florida boy too I'm proud of Ross.
Your biggest organ would be wanted ! Skin is always needed . My Dad passed at 75vand was not an organ donor ... I got a call asking for me to donate his skin . I am an organ donor and have been since young . I believe if anything I have can benifit anybody else , that is better than letting it be embalmed or rot ...
Was there and the place went wild!
Ross is so real. We love his journey to this amazing day !!! There is no one else like him !!!
NASCAR Should be grateful for this, it’s brought a lot of eyes to the sport that wouldn’t normally be on it,
Well done Sir 🫡
👏👏👏
what Ross did.... thats good ole gutsy racing, thats why fans watch this sport. its funny what he did got more press than Bell got for winning today, love it!
congrats to Bell for winning by the way.
"We do have the winner waiting to be interviewed by the way..."
This man just single-handedly made a ton of new fans for NASCAR. If you'd asked me yesterday, I would never have guessed I'd be listening to 25 minute NASCAR press interview.
Spectacular. 🎃 Ross said ‘Trick or Treat’ and he tricked them all. This helps getting over the Carolina Panthers ‘puke’ performance. Ross, At least you didn’t pull off your helmet 😂
💥🤘 Full Throttle around the fence, lol! We've never seen that move in nascar before...
Larson
I love that move!! Dale would approve!! I like his move a lot better than what Ty Gibbs did.
Unbelievable Ross! Amazing driving! Love it!
Accept " Balls to the Wall"
Until they say you can't then you can... My Hero
Love to see it. Getting lots of eyes on the sport today
Every track ain't built for this move. He knew the schedule, he knew the track, he even practiced on it virtually... He was probably the only person that could do this at that exact moment on that exact track. He knew his car wasn't going to Phoenix. This next race will be the highlight of NASCAR after that move, no matter who wins. Mans is a LEGEND💎👏🏽👏🏾👏🏿
Amazing move!
I think what makes this so incredible is that if anyone tried this same move on this same track with this same next gen car it wouldn’t work. There is something special about Ross in that moment with those circumstances. Absolutely unbelievable 💯👏🏼
Well the timing was what was also so magical. If ross was a second or 2 further back and did this, Hamlin would have been laughing as he watched this putz destroy his car and finish behind him. And if he was a second or 2 further up and did it he would have rear ended the 6 car much sooner and much harder and might have then lost due to Newtons 1st law.
Mad respect for chastains move to advance
Have been off NASCAR for years because of bad bad product and drivers. But this ….. was the first entertaining thing in NASCAR in years by this driver I can really cheer for. Well done RC! He deserves all the attention he is getting. Moooooose!
That was the most singe handedly badass thing I’ve seen since I’ve gotten back into nascar. Ross is now in my top 3 of favorite modern drivers ( the other 2 being MTJ and Ryan Blaney)
Absolutely jaw-dropping maneuver that will go down in NASCAR history & most likely be replayed on NASCAR shows for the rest of NASCAR's existence. Much like the "pass in the grass" that really wasn't in the grass but was still nuts! But in this case, no hyperbole is required! Ross simply blew everyone away with that move. A move that will most likely never be repeated in Cup racing. "Pulling a Chastain" will forever be cemented in the lingo of NASCAR. 👍
That was the most exciting thing to happen in Nascar since they went to this playoff style championship chase, so does Nascar make it more dull or do they go back to a points system something like it used to be giving all drivers the same opportunity to win a championship. A points system without having the playoff style it is, I think more drivers having a chance at the end of a season is more exciting than having just 4 in this playoff style.
I think with this car it would be possibly better to go to a traditional points format, but it made a ton of sense for the previous generations
This was a Hail Mary move. and it worked. he hit the wall at the right spot to get the spring shot around the curve and rode it to the big dance... U go Ross!!! Riverdale HS... Countryboy...
Greatest move in NASCAR history because it worked. Had it not it would have been an idiot move. For what he was going for its a move of the ages.
Well, Ross was the only one to get the high line to work at Martinville. 😆
True and passed like ten cars doing it
