You could make a budget stroker with this engine. Not sure you guys have Kia Optima’s? If so? The 00-05 model years have this engine. It would be cheaper than a Evo 4G63, but cheaper. It’s in the Sirus engine family, it’s a poor man’s Evo engine basically. I’ve seen folks make good power on this setup.

Hi Mike, love the channel, really enjoy watching the budget stuff you do. I’ve had this exact turbo on my 2.5L E36 for well over a year now and I have to say for the money they are excellent. One small thing i would recommend is re-drilling and porting the wastegate hole in the turbine housing larger, and making a relief in the housing for the flap to open further. Mine seemed to want to make a minimum 20psi+ on wastegate pressure alone until I did this! Again no complaints on the turbo itself, as you say, you get what you pay for. I've got the exact same model as your car but mine has been modified a lot more what I would think about doing is relocating the battery to the rear adding front and rear strut brace you can get aftermarket headlights with the halos and diamond eyes and LED tail lights as well as HKS high-powered muffler out the rear
Hey bro, You can use an EK civic half radiator with more cores/ bigger then stock and it will give you loads more room for your turbo set up. I'm running one with my turbo mirage build.
Just did a timing belt water pump on one of these this week, honestly the hood is dookie... The smooth hood looked good on the car I did it was silver also

I rad that exact turbo on my RB30 patrol. It was a beast. Ran 10psi and came on boost at 1700rpm. Was perfect on a 4wd.
think it'd look better with a clean hood but it's already started to look better!

Turbo to radiator clearance of 1/2” may be too close when launched hard. Just my 2c. Nice build though.
