Lego chima tv show is in my opinion one of the most underrated cartoons of all time! The world building was fantastic, the characters were fun and interesting, the story about friendship really worked, and the Lore... OMG!🤯 It's a kids show about an actual WAR!
You forgot to mention that Both Ninjago and Chima being connected Chima is one of the 16 Realms, and I believe Tommy Andreason once hinted that Pythor came from chima since the crystal on his chest was supposed to be chi
I think another factor that may have played into Chima getting discontinued was that some tribes had very few minifigures. Like The Rhinos sets both had Rogon and Rinona. Or The Bear tribe only having Bladvic and Bulkar. The only Beaver tribe minifigure we ever got was Breezor. There was even supposed to be a Mammonth tribe pack ( according to a video from Just2good back in 2014 when the 2015 sets got revealed ) but that got cacnelled. The Mammoths needed some more figures too.
I really wish lego chima lasted at least 1 more season since the 4th season was planned and it's actually the favourite season they never got the make according to the creator of chima, going from memory here: one of the floating islands would have reason and the tribes from that island would have invated chima and corrupted the chi. A love that concept
If it is anything I will always remember from my childhood, it's Chima. I was so dyhard on the series. Also I am Swedish so I watched the series in Swedish so the voiceacting wasn't that bad as you explain, but I still love the series. I am so sad it ended. RIP Chima.
I feel like you've hit the nail on the head. I have a weird sense of nostalgia for Chima but it's like, around the idea of the theme, the idea of the hype, the idea of wanting to enjoy it. I wanted to love it. I was about 10-11 when s1 came out. I ADORED Ninjago. I know a lot of people hated it because they missed Ninjago, but this made me excited, I thought for a second there that Lego was just gonna keep making hit after hit. I couldn't collect lego as a kid due to money and space so most of my attachment was through the shows, games, etc. (Like, it's been this way until recently for me, I finally have the freedom to get sets and live out my childhood/teenage dreams but this also just gives me a very different view on lego themes because I had no toys to back up my nostalgia.) So I wanted to like Chima the show so much...and it just didn't land for me. Even as a kid. I kept giving it a chance, I wanted to know more about the story, but something about it was unlikable to me. Finally revisiting it as an adult, I realize that like, it feels like this rich, lived in universe with a culture and lore...but the characters don't really feel living. The writing is stiff. No amount of interesting lore can save it if you just can't enjoy the characters. They aren't just annoying, they're bland. And it's unfortunate because I still want to love it so much. The designs are beautiful, the world feels wonderfully thought out, you can feel the passion put into everything but the writing of the characters. Ninjago conversely holds up IMO because while the lore wasn't always particularly deep (seriously, if you look at s1-2 and pretend it ended where it was meant to, it's really interesting to see how simple things were intended to be), the characters were always so lovable, you cared about what happened to them, and even at their most annoying they had some sort of endearing quality that the Chima cast just didn't have. One of these days I will track down some sets though lol. The sets were great, given my childhood predicament, I couldn't appreciate them much back then, but I admire them so much now.
my favorite part of chima is the speedors and the minifigures, they were very cool because there were so many different animals and they did a great job of designing them
I agree. I remember watching chima when I was younger, it is very nostalgic. It's a super fun show and definitely over hated. Thanks for addressing this, great video!
bro if chima made desert tribes like camels and bulls/bisons that would have been cool. underwater animals would have been epic as well because there is so many
The last half of season 3 I found pretty good. Bro just hearing the music in the background, made me feel nostalgic. I wish Chima gets a reboot, it’s unlikely but I can still hold out hope.
This is quite amazing for a second video, I absolutely love Chima, so glad to see it get talked about! It deserves so much more love. In the little time the theme had, it had so much going for it. The world, the stories, the characters, all so awesome.
I never bought any of the Chima sets, but I really enjoy when I find the minifigures in tubs of LEGO's I buy at garage sales. The helmets are really cool.
I remember looking back on the show fondly, but rewatching it as an adult on UA-cam really shows how much it was just catered towards kids. Ninjago definitely did a better job in creating high stakes and not having pretty awful jokes.
I'm a bit late but this was incredible memories but I have an even more funny think to talk about : When the last episode came on the tv, the day before one of my class member asked if he could says something to the class and he litteraly said that the last episode of chima was about to drop on the tv. But really this man is the legend because watching the last 2 episode as the child was incredible and one of my greatest memories about lego series
Absolutely loved chima as a kid, i still do now and i still try to buy any of the sets i dont have in my collection from time to time. I’ll never forget christmas day 2017 when i got the lion chi temple set when i spent almost all day building it and my back was so sore afterwards lmao ❤
BRO, THE NOSTALGIA, I remember having the season one disc, and a few smaller sets, now that I’m a bit older and (mostly) have more of my own money (and a sense of nostalgic thanos syndrome, basically wanting to collect things you couldn’t when you were younger) I’m trying to get some of the sets I missed out on, the next set I aim to get is the command ship, wish me luck!
Man this theme is my childhood theme. I have so many things to say about it. I never got too many lego sets, mostly the large ones from the second wave of the first season, and speedorz. But I have completely torn those things apart and repurposed them into just about everything over the years. Yeah ninjago was cool to me before, but I just fell in love with Chima. Everything about it was so cool, and I created my own everything for the characters I have since I only watched the show once, but never really made it define what I made. I mean my favorite minifigure is Sparatus, and I don't even remember if he did anything in the show. This theme also introduced me into ball joints, pieces which I love to this day. THere are still some sets I want to get, and hope to get some point in the future, though I will say something about the lion temple. I don't know what it was, maybe I build it wrong, maybe I was just missing pieces, but that thing did not go together well. Despite building it on the kitchen table, parts kept wanting to pop apart, and I swear the long axles were getting slightly bent. Didn't help that I had nowhere to store it either, so it kept getting knocked and broken. I gave up on it a long time ago and its completely torn apart. Chima will always hold a special place in my heart. It did what it needed to do, and its a shame that it ended. There's a lot of possibility held within it, and I hope it could someday return.
Chima was my biggest and most notable part of my early childhood. I was around 5 years old at its prime, and I even had the lion temple set. At the time, all I ever wanted to play with was Lego chima sets. Sad that it's gone but luckily I still have the 3ds game and the sets. I've even seen that the first two seasons of the show are on Apple TV so I might just rewatch it soon
For me the biggest problem with Chima was, that at the start, in the first wave, they made this crazy huge amount of minifigs. All of them looked great, but you couldn't tell who is the main guy, and who is just some random dude. And because the first season (wave) didn't have the fixed line of four-six main characters, Lego had to cut most of them out in the next seasons. In the second season, we lost Raven and Wolves (which were my favorite). Other than that, the series was always lion-centric (or big cat, with saber tooth tigers and tigers in S3), while the rest of the animals were kind of in the niche.
As as a kid I love watching Chima and I still love it I still have Lego Chima sets still in my room also everytime I talk about I talk about Chima people will say what is that nobody has ever talked about Chima to me except for my family
I think another part of it getting cancelled in Lego tends to naturally work in a 3 season or 3 wave format. Ninjago is kind of an anomaly. But most Lego themes last about 3 years before Lego rolls out the next theme. If a theme is selling really well, they might extend it a couple more years. Like Monkey Kid and Ninjago. But most get shelved and replaced. I expect Dreamzzz will probably end around 2025.
What the voice cast for Laval, Eris and Cragger should've been in my opinion: 1. Laval = Sam Vincent 2. Eris = Grey DeLisle 3. Cragger = Richard Steven Horvitz I thought their voices were ok, their voice acting could've been much better.

Like why should the lions control the flow and distribution of Chi? They say it’s because they’re most noble and honest people, but how could we trust their word on that? Clearly, a few of the other tribes have disagreements on that matter. Why were the lions surprised when other tribes joined the crocodile group instead of fighting with them? The crocodiles promised a more free and fair distribution of chi. I do think one thing they did well was they made sure all of the fights felt important. When the lion temple was besieged, you really felt like it was a siege. I thought season two was pretty mid but I loved the first half of season three. The idea that our heroes were now fighting an unstoppable force that had already decimated two tribes and halted all efforts to stop them was really cool. I loved the idea that their weapons had no effect so they had to take up scorched earth tactics like trying to flood the beaver valley so the ice tribes, couldn’t move forward. I guess I was just a weird kid.
Too bad they didn’t have any idea because there’s no villains In chima they are just Broken characters believe they do the right thing they should show us more about chima in the ending It’s reveal that chima is so big And beautiful amazing ❤🥹

I'm one of the biggest fan of this set. Lego Chima has always been some of my favourites in the Lego universe. I watched the shows quite a lot and even bought literally almost all sets (even had to fly to London to buy some of the sets in Legoland Windsor when they aren't available in my country yet). I really miss those good old days 😢
Since in the most recent season of lego ninjago realms have merged, and as we know chima was one of the realms, I think it is not yet the last time we have heard of chima yet.
i hope if they do come back in dragons rising that only a few people from chima survived the merge so that there isnt an overwhelming amount of animals
Could you make a Lego Chima USC Battle for the Lion Temple moc with maybe two vehicles and Mount Cavora or the swamp with the crocs or the eagle towers, just some big mocs (bases or landscapes) and I would really like some remakes of the vehicles. I would give all I have to Lego just for bringing back some Chima sets
bro no way..many years ago I had a dream of an underwater Chima with an evil shark as the villain and since then Iv'e been wanting to design the season for lego to create hahaha
I’ll always be a Chima fan. I personally enjoy it more than ninjago. (Not the older ones, I actually enjoy the older ninjago seasons up to Morro’s season) but regardless I’ll always love it. There was something about it that captured my interest I really hope they consider bringing it back
its SOOOOOOOOOO UNDERRATED, it was one of my childhood BEST memories, i used to watch it everyday and get lego sets from it and play mobile games, i miss lego chima so much, i think they should stop making lego ninjago cuz its already taking too long and too much seasons and its ruined already, no point of continuing lego ninjago, wish they could do a rework of lego chima and give it another chance
Chima is often seen as garbage due to toxic ninjago fans who don't appreciate other Lego themes, i personally like chima, I enjoy the ultrabuilds and especially the final wave
i think that if lego returned lego chima, they would earn a lot money. A lot of people love lego Chima, and even when lego chima was unable to earn on its own in 2015, now it could be good move. I grew up with this lego, and in my opinion it is the best lego ever
I didn't get any chima, but I love what I've seen. Wish they would bring it back properly in Ninjago. These 2 themes always seemed to go well together (same as Nexo Knights). Especially now with their Multiverse.
I’m sad I never knew about this back in 2013-2015 because I missed out and now I can only buy fragments of what used to be on eBay for really high prices
Man I used to love this franchise when I was a kid. I loved it a lot. I love the TV show as a kid. I love the vehicles the. Lego sets heck back when I was like. I think 13 years old. I had the lego sets on my shelf which is really cool
I think why people hate Chima because it try to replace Ninjago and people love that theme and was sad because Chima try to replace it and Ninjago is over
Lego chima tv show is in my opinion one of the most underrated cartoons of all time! The world building was fantastic, the characters were fun and interesting, the story about friendship really worked, and the Lore... OMG!🤯

That’s more a symptom of impending cancellation, rather than a factor that causes it. If you catch meaning.

Lego sets are good and story is good, the issue is that all the characters were too specialized and you couldn't swap out minifig pieces and make your own oc

I swear, if Chima doesn't make an appearance in Ninjago: Dragons Rising, I will riot
i think that if lego returned lego chima, they would earn a lot money.
Was such a great series!
Can you make a lego nexo knights video 😊
Dude if there was under water legends of Chima that would be cool to bad that it never happened😢
I love chima it’s Soo underrated you should talk about unikitty it’s Soo a good show and underrated
the ice mammoth is my dream lego set
Well if Chima comes back, I want them to do Dinosaurs as the bad guys… I bet it’ll increase the profit
Ah I see you are a man of culture as well🍷
For Chima!❤
I’m sad I never knew about this back in 2013-2015 because I missed out and now I can only buy fragments of what used to be on eBay for really high prices
Can you do a Lego China moc please
Man I used to love this franchise when I was a kid. I loved it a lot. I love the TV show as a kid. I love the vehicles the. Lego sets heck back when I was like. I think 13 years old. I had the lego sets on my shelf which is really cool
I really miss Chima.
My favorite tribe was the spiders and scorpions.
I love chima it is so underrated
Hey man great video
Also just curious, where did you get the clips for the video from? From the show?
I never got any chima sets beside a book one that u can build diffrent kinds of buildings and vehicles
as kid got 2 speeders lion tank and bird plane both sets are amazing for price back in time
Oh wait, hang on, what? An underwater Chima subtheme?? Now that'd be grand
This is so weird i literally watched rewatching it today and saw this after wow!
I think it would think it would have done better if they released more location sets to make the world more realized instead of it being 90% vehicles.
I wish quite for this to come back
I think why people hate Chima because it try to replace Ninjago and people love that theme and was sad because Chima try to replace it and Ninjago is over
Great video!
It’s my favorite Lego series and I want Lego to bring them back
Could you redesign the Lion temple yourself?
