Darth Vader Black series Helmet Hack

- I replaced the helmet single speaker with a much more powerful dual speaker system and added my realtime voice changer hookup.
My real-time voice changer setup video can be seen here: • Darth Vader Realtime V...
I had to drill and file holes in the inner and drill holes outer plastic to fit the speakers in place, so if you are not willing to do that, do not attempt this hack!
Also if you are not comfortable working with soldering, drilling, rotary filing tools please do not attempt it, you could really damage the helmet and/or yourself. So please be careful!
The Hack took me about five hours to think about, experiment and accomplish (I have 4 hours of recording). Now I know it can be done it would probably only take about an hour or two do. I imagine you could do it to a Storm trooper helmet or any helmet that has space between the outer helmet and the face of the person wearing it.
If you are interested in seeing a more detailed and extended version of this video, let me know in the comments below!
I will make a wiring diagram of this a make link to it later.
Tools used:
Cordless drill
High heat Hot glue gun
Soldering Iron
⅛ inch drill bit
⅛ inch to ½ inch stepper bit
⅝ inch rotary file bit

Silver sharpie pen
200 grit sandpaper
Parts needed:
two 4 Ohm 3 watt speakers

No. Sorry.
Real life palpatine😳
Hehehe. Thanks!
This is what i call a genius
Thanks!
@@RickMelges no problem i was just checking videos of the mask because i ordered one and then i found this and this is a masterpiece
Does anyone know if this helmet is the same size/demensions as the original used in the first 3 films? thanks
One of the reasons I got this helmet is because it looks similar in size and dimensions! I was frustrated from All the other helmets I bought from Amazon. But am so satisfied with this one. It looks great!
Nowhere near close to the size and accuracy of the original trilogy helmets. Still a decent helmet for collector’s though.
It was Because you didn’t have bass that the speaker was so low
True
How could i make the breathing louder and can i make the breathing loop for a long time on no
Are you talking about the original mask loudness?
The breathing sounds are probably digitally triggered. And will do it only 4 times. Maybe some one else here might have an answer.
Yeah the original mask loudness i rlly wanna make it sound louder
The speaker in the original mask is a very low profile front facing speaker. The dual speakers I put in I felt make it louder. But I do not amplify them. But I suppose they could be. The top crown of the mask has space to put something up there. I tried installing a micro fan up there. But the vibrations were to bad! I was thinking that an amplifier and rechargeable battery could go up there.
Where did you get it
The black series helmet? I think from Amazon.com
And here comes a copyright strike for playing Queen😂
Sorry, I don’t get it
@@RickMelges no worries. I was just referring to UA-cam’s policy of flagging and than punishing content creators who play copyrighted music for any length of time in their videos. I think you’re ok because it was just a few seconds. Very clever work in this video by the way. I wish I had your confidence and talent with a soldering iron.
Do you think you could build me one? i’d be willing to pay the money up front.
So do you have a black series helmet like this one already?
RickMelges No, but i was looking at getting one last week then i found out it didn’t have a voice changer, so i started looking at my opinions on how i could get a decent voice changer.
Would you be interested in making one for me?
Maybe after all this Covid-19 stuff is over.
i’m starting a huge project and would love to have a chat with you for some help if you’re ever free! i love your work
Really busy working on a project for work right now. Can you wait until April?
