      @@xzx_falcon7784 your not gonna be in the powerband often though especially if your doing single track, so i would get another premix that’s ratio is higher like 40:1 or even 60:1, MAKE SURE ITS THE RIGHT OIL and it says what ratio to use on the bike, you don’t wanna get yamalube that’s suppose to run at 32:1 but run it at 60:1. I have a kx100 that i run at 60:1 because i do single track and not always in the powerband, i get like 3 months out of the spark plug but only ride once every 2 weeks

    Great display of technique. You are quite skilled. I like doing the floater, but it doesn't always work out. The last time I tried it was on a 1972 Honda XL 250. It was not successful, but it was fun laughing at myself after falling off the bike without injury. BTW, you should try the standing donut turn. It is similar to the foot down, it's just that you push on the peg instead of putting your foot down. You let the bike start to fall a bit, then dump the clutch. It's a little counter intuitive, but I am sure you can pull it off. You're good! 🙂

    • @bikersoncall
      @bikersoncall 2 роки тому

      lol, yeah a kickstand that can't do that should be
      replaced immediately.
      I actually have not tried this maneuver, but use the
      kickstand a lot to tilt my bike over to check how
      my front or back tire is spinning, freely or jammed up
      at all.

  • @DmitriyAdv
    @DmitriyAdv 3 роки тому +18

    Great video!
    For technique #1 it’s usually a good idea to check what’s behind you, so that your buddy or some random quad doesn’t think you’re pulling over to let them pass and t-bone you :) Pretty obvious, but happens more than one’d think!

    If you drag the rear brake during the full lock turn, it helps balancing exponentially

    • @ginge5253
      @ginge5253 3 роки тому

      When it comes to training new riders the U turn exercise is always a make or break for them, I see it all the time where people will balance the clutch and throttle but totally forget about dragging the rear brake a touch. Just gives the rider so much more balance and control and allows the rider to keep the speed of the manoeuvre much more consistent

    • @bikersoncall
      @bikersoncall 2 роки тому

      I agree, drag that back brake a bit if you can, also
      for a full-lock turn, I'll (sometimes, not always,
      depending on situation) use 2nd and do a bit of
      clutching to keep the motor from dying, 1st gear
      can sometimes be way too flicky, causing the bike
      to lurch back and forth unevenly.

    Video turned out amazing, like the fishhook. I usually use a combo of baby pivots and the fish hook to get turned around when I get stuck on a hill climb.
    The kickstand turn also got me out of a very bad situation. Was on a solo camping trip and got burried in some mud in the middle of nowhere. After lots of digging I managed to break get the front wheel out using the kickstand turn, definitely bent the frame tabs a bit but better than walking out.
