Sad country. This country has been stripped of by military for 60years. Still struggling from them. Most good Burmese has gone. Hope one day we'll see beautiful sky before we go.
A wonderful video by Micaale Rogge. This should be shown regularly to all those who devalue the benefits of a muliticultural & multi-ethnic Burma. A strong union is only as strong as the sum of its parts. Such wealth in natural resources has been exploited by the greedy few amid the lack of investment in the people. How wealth Burma would be if they could utilise and see the strength in unity in diversity not as a cliche but a core value to be guarded far more than any creed of hate & prejudice
diversity will always be a source of discord. The only way multi ethnic groups can be brought under a common mutual understanding and cooperation is if there is a higher power above them. For example the Roman empire united germanic tribes that would otherwise quarrel and fight each other. Native americans tribes fought each other until invaded. If Burma is divided it means the central government is weak. By the way the sio%) nist government in Usa is also weak it's why there is civil war looming.
Burma was at its richest, and the people most well off --- under British rule. Burma used to be the top exporter of rice in S.E. Asia, and now they can't even feed themselves.
@@earlysda yeah but you omit to say that british created the premises for unrest that finally flared when they were flushed out. The same happened in India with Pakistan. The briton colonizer acerbated inner tensions and fed discord between ethnic factions to facilitate their dominance. "divide to conquer". However their presence held back a conflict. When they were flushed out this explodes into a civil war that would not have happened if they did not invade in the first place. Any colonizer breaks the balance and harmony of these ethnic groups, shows favor to one group at the expense of others, divides to reign, creates accumulated tensions. It is the effect of ruthlessly exploiting invading powers.
@@goognamgoognw6637 Your logic is completely backwards, as the facts of the matter prove. The locals could not raise themselves, so the British jumpstarted them. Then the locals got jealous, and kicked the British out, and went downhill from there. Facts.
