I swear, devil jin's biggest advantage in the start was him being basically the newest character, he was so different from t7 or any other tekken before, and being released last he wasn't even in the closed beta test, so no one knew how he played, but that's it, he still a very small move list in comparison to most character, he wasn't based on long combos, so his combos are short but have high damage on the individual moves, almost never safe, bad poking, he had a strong smash sure, but a smash is once per round, and not a move he can use all the time, and at least it doesn't deal as much damage as king's, a smash that was never merfed, or still deals as much damage as a rage art, and if you block he goes on his sprint having probablythe best 50/50 cause he can do anything, he's on power crush, he can do a mid, a low, a grab and tracking moves, devil jin on block has a 50/50 that at least can be blocked in anything he does unless he doesn'tdo anything, risking to be hit, but still it made him not top tier but decently good, even if he was never nerfed, now that everyone knows his match up, he would at least be good even if not great, also every time he got nerfed why so hard? With the others like azucena at least they nerf one aspect of the move to not make it bad, and then nerf it more if it's still broken, with devil jin, they nerfed first his hellsweep, which sure dealt a lot of damage, but why also the range? He's the only one who lost range on his hellsweep, a move that now no one even bothers to block, cause it often whiff, or they can hit you before you do it cause you gotta basically be point blank range to hit em, or even if they get hit, they lose only 45 usually, same with the heat smash why nerf also the range, aside it now being a bad smash, it's also embarassing to look at too, it's like he's pulling some weights behind him, and sure the ff2 was universally nerfed, but the hellsweep wasn't universally nerfed, so he should've kept the pushback at the very least, or at least don't lie about it having good range.
